First off, we shall never return due to the service. I called 11:51Am this morning to put in for a table reservation. The gentleman that answered started to take down my information on table size name and time and day and was interrupted by a female worker or manager, stating that they don't do reservations. So he relayed the info what she told him about not doing that anymore to me. Later my wife and I parked and came in 4:48Pm to get a good table for a 6:00Pm get together with my friends group. They set the table my wife and I ordered a drink from the barside: (Rum): Wicked Dolphin Coconut WITH Pineapple Juice -Tall. while we waited and they brought us out chips. We were having a decent peaceful time. I went to the restroom for a minute came out and they moved us to another table right beside the table we were at first. I was like what the heck? Whatever. So sat down, next thing you know some time went by and my first buddy came in sat down we chat for a few minutes and the host guy comes over and asked us when the rest of the party will be there trying to rush us. I said 6Pm he said ok because they have a party reservation at 7Pm and if are party isn't there by 6Pm they will need that table at 7Pm for the party. I was like I thought u all don't take reservations??? I explained what happened earlier when I called and you all said you don't take reservations? He said they reserved it last week but they are gunna stop taking reservations because of situations like this one. Now my wife and I were unhappy and frustrated and we said are party will be here at 6Pm we got here very early to get us good seating and a table and you all are rushing us out, what if we are not done with our meals? I asked who the manager was earlier and if she's still here he went to go get her. She came and explained what he said and we said the same story again and asked what if we are not done with our meals? What then? Will we get our food packaged/boxed and get sent away, will we all have to split up and eat at different tables? She said they have other people that need to be sat. We said we are paying customers and your giving us this bad situation that you all did to yourselves? I said to her what if we are not done and the other party tables are taken by other parties? That last party that comes in last should wait right? Until the next party table opens up. How is this our fault. She says she understands on what my opinion is and what her opinion is. Like what the heck does that even mean!?!?!? Then she says to us that they will figure it out. And walks away. Like why come to us after your issues and mistakes, get us all riled up and make our stomachs not up feeling upset and uncomfortable now. Then on top of that the service from our waitress was crap. She was nice but not really on top of refills and taking our tables food order. The restaurant also charged a $2 sharing fee. So my wife and I split a combination meal 2 burritos and a enchilada with rice and beans meal and we got charged for that? That restaurant is wack for doing that. That's just wrong. Food was decent good but service was terrible especially with the whole situation they had put us in about the table parties reservations & the reservations from the week prior for this week and all that Bs. Found out about El Toro via IG post and glad I did as we've only found one other Mexican restaurant worth eating at in Cape Coral. We needed a second option to keep things exciting. When we arrived on Friday night at 6:45 the place was packed to the gils and lots of people waiting outside. That to me was a good sign that the food here was going to be on point. We had to wait only 20 mins for a table which was a welcome surprise. We were served by Alondra who was very nice and especially relieved when she discovered that we spoke Spanish. Their tortilla chips, queso con carne dip and guacamole were quite delicious and plentiful. We ordered the fiesta dinner and all was a winner exept the tamale. It was horrible with a capital H. The Pollo Parilla was excellent on all levels and very reasonably priced. The carne asada tacos were tasty but short on meat. Rounding out the order was the kids Camarones Jalisco which my 7 yr old loved. It consists of a bed of Mexican rice drizzled with a white cheese sauce and grilled shrimp on top. He can't wait to go back and eat it again. The only down side was that they claim to have been out of the Churro dessert that we were all looking forward to. The worst service ever! I've been coming to this restaurant since i moved to Cape Coral and not the best of the world but to me is being ok but today I ordered food cause I was doing groceries at Publix and when to pick up food to take home. First of all my food was incomplete so I called the restaurant and I spoke to someone who didn't want to give me her name when I told her that it was pouring down raining and I wasn't going to go back to the restaurant because it was their fault and to deducted from what they charged me originally, so I told her to put the manager that I needed to speak to someone in charge and she hanged up the phone on me with a really nasty attitude saying Hey there's nothing I can do , so do whatever you wanna do. Super racist!!! We are a Hispanic family trying to enjoy a nice dinner having fun and laughing 4 women 4 teens girls. Place was almost empty. One other white party behind us about just as many as our party. Complain to the host we are too loud to keep it down. Hosts tells us and we turn it down only to hear the "white" people laughing loud and enjoying themselves exactly like we were.
