RAW DOUGH inside - NOTE: this is AFTER my wife tried to fry it again at home.
    Justin Y.

DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS PLACE. My wife ordered several dishes from El Triunfo via Uber Eats and was delivered a concoction of things that could be barely characterized as "food." Let's start with the things that were barely edible. We ordered $35 chicken fajitas and it was ridiculously overpriced. Perhaps we were the fools for ordering expensive chicken in the first place, but the strangely colored, unappetizing seasoning of the meats made this not even fitting for a dog. The slaw that they provided came in a ridiculous zip-lock sandwich bag. I mean, where the heck provides food in a plastic bag? My wife described it as a an "elementary school child's chemistry project." Did not help that the one bite we took of it tasted like barf. I think the most popular picture on the Yelp page is of raw fritters. That should have been a warning sign, and shame on us I guess for ordering them. The fritters were so raw that we were basically spitting out puffs of flour (okay, an exaggeration, but very raw nonetheless). At first bite, we thought it was a cheesy filling, but after we began to feel some nausea, it was clear to us that the fritters were not thoroughly fried. When we tried calling the restaurant, they turned the blame around on us and insisted that the food was completely "boiled" and could not have been raw. First of all, there is no way you are frying these things in boiling water, so clearly you have no idea what you are talking about. They claimed the gooey texture was "cheese," but feta cheese DOES NOT MELT LIKE THAT. Secondly, it was highly inappropriate for them to point the finger at us and blame us for lying. Why would we call a restaurant at 2 in the morning and complain about raw dough? None of us were even drinking, so there's no way we could have made a mistake (as they seemed to be implying). My wife tried to fry it again on the skillet, but gave up because the fritters were becoming so disgusting. Long story short, this place is complete trash and should be avoided. You can check my Yelp review records and you'll see I very rarely write one star reviews, but this place definitely "earned" it. * The photo of the fritter is AFTER my wife tried to cook it. You can see that it is still RAW on the inside.

Taco bar. Catering. Delicious and great compliments!

Went in the store day before and ordered a taco bar for 15 people. Party for little less than $200 and everyone got a generous amount of tacos plus some people just made a burrito bowl. Although it was taco bar for 15, felt like ingredients for 25. I personally ate 4 tacos, but some people get 6. But some only ate 2. But otherwise was a lot of fun and a great way to celebrate national taco day! Taco bar included: A tray of steak (was the best) A tray of chicken (very flavorful) A tray of corn tortillas A tray of pico de Gallo A tray of chopped lettuce 2 containers of Guacamole 2 containers of sour cream 2 containers of cheese 1 container of hot sauce 1 container of jalapeño 1 container of chopped onions

I ordered two enchiladas with rice and beans.. the meal came up to 17 with a drink.. when i called to have the woman explain what this is or remake the food for me she gave me the hardest time to the point where i just threw the food away.. after i explained to her that im allergic to jalapeños and that theese infact aren't enchiladas and are tacos... will never spend my money at this place again PERIOD

I've never been to this restaurant but I was in the area craving Mexican food. I ordered a steak quesadilla and it came with chips and homemade guacamole. The guacamole was actually very delicious; I'm usually not a fan... The steak had great flavoring and was cooked nice and tender. The space is very small so there's no room to dine in but they do offer delivery if you are unable to pick up your food. The women working at the counter were welcoming.

JIMMY AND THIS PLACE IS TRASH..... I ordered 2 combos 1- two tacos one enchilada below is a picture there is NO enchilada he said the hard flat taco was how they've been making them for 15 years!! LMAO wtf then 2- ordered the 2 papupsas and tamale which SUCKED they didn't put in the sauce or slaw that comes with the papusa and he said they don't make it like that here but clearly there's other pictures with it on it sooooo overall jimmy was talking over me and said he made the order of soggy tacos and enchiladas that look like tacos NEVER AGAIN if I had a car I would drive there and throw this whole order in jimmys face only thing that was right was on time and the sodas and the postmates delivery guy was nice

Raw fritters. "Unable" to deliver replacement item. No refund issued as promised. I will not give them business again.

For the second time, incredibly disappointed with take out from El triunfo. It arrived 15 minutes later than estimated, and the zucchini fritters (made with batter containing raw eggs) were liquid in the middle. I called immediately to complain, and had to negotiate a refund for the 2 items that were uncooked. Staff was unable to deliver any replacement items. And 3 days later, no refund has actually been issued. Steer clear, the restaurant seems to be run by amateurs.

We walked in without reservations and they were fully booked for the night, but they do have bar seating and a couple of side tables where you can grab a quick bite from the full menu. The ambiance is a 10/10. The decor is insane in the best way. The red chandeliers are stunning, the bar setup is perfection, and the low lighting with the table centerpieces really ties everything together. Even the bathrooms were insanely beautiful which is crazy to say but it stood out. It's rare to find restrooms that are that clean and well-designed. The drinks were great. I can't remember the name of the cocktail I got, but it had red sugar on the rim and it perfectly matched the whole aesthetic of the restaurant. For food, I got the steak taco and the fish taco and both were delicious. We were just stopping by for a quick bite before heading to the movies , but I really wish we could have stayed for a full meal because everything was amazing. Hopefully we'll get the chance to come back again one day.

I had been craving fish tacos for a really long time, and I was delighted to find a whole section of the menu dedicated to them. We started off with margaritas - one of the best companions to fish tacos - and I ordered mine spicy with jalapeño. For food, we shared the lobster empanadas and chorizo and potato taquitos. I ordered the tempura fish tacos for myself. Our margaritas were brought out shortly - mine was refreshing but lacked the kick from the jalapeño that I was hoping for (there was only one thin slice of pepper). Our food was brought out shortly, and I found it a bit overwhelming when our appetizers and tacos came out together. I started with my tacos, and these were excellent. The fish was flaky and fried to perfection, and I loved the rainbow of sauces and toppings. Plus, the tortillas were nice and sturdy and didn't tear. The lobster empanadas were super decadent, and I appreciated the substantial amount of lobster stuffed inside. I was too full to eat much of the taquitos but took a few bites. These also had good flavor but weren't standouts. Next time, I'd just get the tacos and maybe a light app. Towards the end of our visit, the restaurant seemed to clear out, and we had a difficult time trying to locate our server for the bill. Overall, we had a nice meal and satisfied the fish taco craving.

The Seaport space is just as stunning--decked out in pink, super aesthetic, and definitely a fun, photo-worthy vibe. Unfortunately, the experience didn't quite live up to expectations. For drinks, I ordered a pitcher margarita with jalapeño, and it was disappointing. It didn't taste fresh and came across more like artificial jalapeño flavoring rather than real infusion--and it wasn't spicy at all. For food, we ordered a variety of small plates to share. Everything was decent, but nothing really stood out. It felt a bit underwhelming compared to the atmosphere. The biggest issue was the service. It was very slow throughout the night, and getting the check was especially frustrating--it took about 30 minutes, and we had to ask multiple times before finally receiving it. Overall, the ambiance is beautiful and perfect for a celebration, but the drinks and service didn't match the vibe. Hoping this was just an off night.

We started off with two drinks- a frozen mangonada and this passion fruit drink. They were both solid but I liked the mangonada better because the passion fruit cocktail had too much pulp in it! For food, we started off with chips and guac. This guac was some of the best I've had. It was super fresh and you could tell exactly what ingredients they used. We also their pork ribs! The ribs fell off the bone and I loved the warm sauce except it was a tiny bit dry. The sauce was reminiscent of an umami bbq sauce. We decided to try their zucchini dish, as recommended by the manager! I don't love zucchini usually but I liked it. It was roasted with cheese, sauces, and some shrimp. Very creative, Lastly we got the tuna ceviche of the day. I didn't really like this because it was really heavy on the dill. I think it would've been good without it. However the presentation was gorgeous and it came with plantains. Overall the vibes are superb here for a date, girls night, or whatever!!

The restaurant is actually located in the public alley, not directly on Gloucester Street. The food was really good. I am obsessed with their rice and beans. Everyone seemed to love what they ordered! However, Im taking away two stars because of our service and our waitress. When we sat down, she casually asked, "Can I get you started with chips and guac?" At pretty much every Mexican restaurant I have ever been to, that phrasing implies it is complimentary. At no point did she mention that the guac was an added charge. We later found out we were charged $16 per guac, yes because she brought over TWO (!!) which totaled over $30, which felt really misleading. If something is meant to be an appetizer you are paying for, I expect it to be framed as, "Would you like to order any appetizers?" not presented as a default and free starter. That part left a sour taste in my mouth. I would consider coming back for the food, but I would be much more cautious ordering anything they recommend.
