I didn't want to leave a bad review but I needed to share how bad my experience was. My partner & I decided to grab a quick bite to go after being in the Metro next door. Ordered asada nachos and an asada quesadilla. We tried the nachos first & my first chip was mostly their refried beans...they tasted old & bland. So I grabbed another chip with a piece of meat & guacamole...yuck, the meat tasted like old mop. We then said let's try the quesadilla, I took a little bite then my partner did...again absolutely no good. The meat was nasty & had that old mop/wet rag taste. We threw both full plates in the dumpster immediately. Total waste of $29!!! We were discussing after & both realized the man fixing our plates didn't use gloves & his appearance looked unkempt. I used to really love this place and it was my favorite Taqueria and I would come here all the time and then something went downhill with their cleaning regimen because suddenly there was like roaches or bugs everywhere. I've been going here for years but I'll have to rethink this place that I used to like so much. You take your chances ordering online verses actually being there to watch them make your order correctly because this is not the first time this has happened with online ordering (I should have learned my lesson by now). Still my go-to place for burritos! I love getting a mix of Carnitas and the Chile Colorado Chicken. The 2 make for a really great pairing. (I don't recommend the Chile Colorado Beef with the Carnitas though, didn't vibe as well.) Their burritos are still huge and reasonably priced. They don't skimp on the meats. I had noticed that the guy making my tacos was not wearing gloves, but was using utinsles to add the ingredients. I love the carne asada plate, it comes with beans, rice, veggies (tomatoes, onions, cilantro, shredded cabbage) and tortilla on the side. I always ask them to grill my meat with the onions and jalapeños. Yum! My BF always orders burrito, which is a HUGE size! I don't think I can ever finish it; in fact sometimes, he can't finish it. Drinks: soda fountain, but extra if you get another cup. Bottled Latino and American drinks. They also have coffee :) Price/Method of Payment: the best! Good portion, good price. The greatest burrito I've ever had in my life. I've been coming here for years, I grew up on this place and it's still standing for a reason. I see some reviews that say they had a bad experience with this establishment and I feel sorry that you never experienced the awesome that is this Taqueria. You get a burrito and you get carne asada, pollo, chile verde or collorado and that's it. That is their staple and it's what make them super bomb. I always grab a coke in a bottle because that shit is straight from Mexico and they use real cane sugar so you taste the difference and I like it better than American coke. Plus. Their burritos are huge and you will either not finish it or finish it and hate yourself for the next few days which I do all the time which is totally worth it. What happened to this place! New owners or cooks? We used to get take out enchilada dinners every week or so for years and years. About a year ago they started skimping on the food and the taste was not as good. So we didn't go for a year until tonight. Marinated Pork Enchilada was OK but a little soggy. This spot serves amazing food but the amount of times me and my coworker have came here after 11am (the opening time) and the workers have said they don't open until a later time is ridiculous. Today we came in at 12:10 and they still said they aren't opening until 30 more minutes, there were 3 workers in there. The thing that throws us off every time is that they leave their front door open which is very misleading if there not open. I get there on a Thursday at 11:20am for my lunch break,Opening time is 11am, the guy tells me they don't open until 12, but I've ordered there at 11 before with different workers.
