This is one of the few places in Richmond where they don't totally skimp on the amount of meat they put in their burritos. Believe me, I've been to MANY other burrito places around and most all of them just give you a beans and rice burrito with a tiny bit of meat. This place at least gives you an expected amount of meat in your burrito. The location could be considered 'hole in the wall' but that does not bother me and I like to support local small businesses. Ambiance quite not to busy. I was excited to try this place considering the good reviews and food looks great from the pictures . Came on a Wednesday to avoid busy weekend crowds got my favorite chilaquiles and service was ok felt a bit rushed but I by passed that food looks amazing but was lacking flavor their was no seasoning at all and not a well rounded dish I ate half and left the rest however chips and salsa were delicious! We drove out to this little taqueria not quite knowing what to expect, but also having sligthly elevated expectations based on what we had read thus far. We decided to go for the much talked-about quesabirrias, and each of a chicken taco and shrimp taco. I am no expert on quesabirrias, but all I can wholeheartedly vouch for is the deliciousness of this dish. I guess it's not easy to go wrong with melted cheese on seared toasty tacos enveloping very well seasoned shredded meat. But I tell ya, the flavour profile got amped up when you dip it in the "au jus" (if one can call it that) and have all that spicy greasy juiciness dance with your tastebuds. It's definitely not for those on a diet, but it's ok as a once-weekly taco-treat. Speaking of tacos, the lovely seared chicken in the chicken tacos weren't bad either. I loved the seared diced chicken but it could have used some salsa on it. It was a little dry but full of flavour nonetheless. The plump and juicy shrimp taco was not lacking in succulence. It, however, could have used a little more sear, and a slightly tangier salsa verde. Which leads me, last (as well as the least), to the Chips and salsa. The green salsa was mild and runny, while red had the right texture and packed quite the punch. Alas, most of the tortilla chips were shattered and at least a third of it was just odds and ends. But hey, we didn't come here for the chips and salsa (though it wouldn't hurt to improve those). Come here for the food. Not for the ambiance. Cards accepted. Order at the counter and they will bring the food out to you. There are a couple of tables outside (and it can get pretty fumy inside when they fire up a that griddle). read more

I take the enzyme pill and joyfully eat every bite. The super burrito is the size of a small pet and unlike those who sell huge burritos with ZERO FLAVOR this one is packed with all the right stuff that is distinguishable, yet blends together for the perfect bite. Okay...now for the tacos, I get 4 of them. Two shrimp and two carne asada and I am a happy woman. The price is reasonable and even better if you pay cash (help a small business keep their profit).
