Awesome way to start the day along with their super popular cafecito Cubano.

Excellent Cuban comfort food!!! El Vesubio is the place you think about when you are yearning for good home cooked Cuban food In West New York, NJ. Then you walk in to a nice sized inviting entrance, spot the glass enclosure with the multiple choices of prepared foods, (carne con papas, lechon asado, boliche, arroz moro, congri, arroz amarillo, frijoles negros, frijoles colorados, garbanzos, to name a few.) Your choice of seating at the counter or at a table is a treat as you prepare for the delectable experience as well as the great service. Whether you are savouring a hearty breakfast with your first jolt of their amazing Cuban coffee, a Cuban Media Noche for a flavor packed lunch, or a mouth watering a la carte dinner order of steak, congri and maduros, or even just a takeout order, El Vesubio will be your awesome go to for excellent Cuban food!!!!

    Good Cuban food.

Situated on 62nd Street near bergenline avenue in West New York New Jersey. This restaurant is old school style Cuban cafeteria making homestyle Cuban meals. Plenty of seating as the restaurant goes far back making is it possible to sit more people. I order the baked chicken with rice and beans and yuca con mojo on the side. Chicken with roasted well. Nice and tender with lots of lemony sauce. The rice and beans were good and so was the yuca. All in all, a good place to have your home style Cuban favorite meals. I will definitely be back.

Paid $4.00 for The Cuban sandwich, there was a good amount of meat and it was not to salty. Con: not cheesy enough and not hot enough. But a good Cuban sandwich overall.

My dad's coworker recommended this place, and now it's our recommended spot too! The servers are so friendly and outgoing, and the place itself is very lively. I got the fried red snapper fish for about $7. For $7, I got two big chunks of fried fish and a side (that you can choose from options) of a salad that had so much variety and volume in vegetables. We came for weekend lunch, and most of the meals are $6-$10 for BIG portions. Most of us were barely able to finish our plates. I also saw the breakfast menus, which are only $3-$5. Might come in for breakfast next time! The front of the restaurant is more like a cafe/ deli where people can easily take out food and deserts from a glass case. We took home flan, which was also very good. (I think it tasted better leaving it in the refrigerator for a few hours when we got home) Very very affordable prices--I say that there's nothing to lose eating here.

Es bien mala la comida, y la persona que me ayudo no sabía como atenderte. Me trajo la comida incorrecta.

First, this strawberry smoothie was incredibly fresh--made right in front of me with fresh ingredients. It was rich, refreshing, and so healthy. And these pancakes? Absolutely to die for. I seriously need them in my life every single day. The matcha was perfectly made and so flavorful. I loved every sip. Then we have the salmon toast--just look at that preparation. Fresh, delicious, and packed with flavor. The French toast was loaded with toppings and tasted amazing. Definitely a must-try. My favorite was the avocado chicken wrap--so fresh, filling, and incredibly tasty. And of course, fresh orange juice to complete the meal. Honestly, everything here was so good, and I'm not exaggerating. They even have outdoor seating, so you can enjoy your coffee with a beautiful view. Trust me, you need to come here and thank me later!

Tasted like purchased from Lidl, frozen and reheated. I would advise to purchase unbaked good from a reputable bakery and make fresh. Fries: ewww. Thin, greasy. Also just poor quality. Ambiance: chic and pretty. Did not have coffee so I can't comment on that. Would not recommend this place. Has a lot of potential but they need to work on getting better quality food.
