Absolutely amazing!!! Hands down my new go to Peruvian restaurant yet!! First off, it's BYOB!! How great is that?! They provide glasses so bring whatever drink you desire. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The establishment is clean and well kept up, the service was excellent, my server was so lovely and kind.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food came out so unbelievably fresh too! I ordered Lomo Saltado and it came out piping hot and flavorful! The chaufa was so well made, fresh, very well seasoned too. Their food portion sizes are great for the value, and well presented. They also serve house made bread, and provide roasted corn with green sauce and salsa (both of which were delicious). [[HIGHLIGHT]]From the ambiance, to the service, and the food, 5 stars all the way around.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I had a great night, I will be a regular customer, and so should you. Thankyou for having me!

Went here for lunch and got seated right away as there were not many people inside. The waiter was nice and the food came out quickly. However the leche de tigre was a bit disappointing it needed more flavor, so I added hot sauce (rocoto) and it was better. The ají de gallina was good and the causa was also good. I will certainly go back but I'll pass on the leche the tigre.

First time here, and we really enjoyed the food. We ordered causa w chicken, empanada de mariscos and chaufa w shrimp. So good with the sauce to EY served too. We're coming back to try other dishes.

I went to La Kausa for dinner and ordered the Arroz con Mariscos. This was a Peruvian style paella with seafood, and it was good, but not as flavorful as some other paella dishes that I've had. A few small points for improvement: the rice didn't have the creaminess that I've liked from other paella dishes and the seafood was not as plentiful as I would have liked. I also tried the Empanada de Mariscos (seafood) and Empanada de Carne (meat). The exteriors of both had the right amount of crispiness, while the interiors were average in quality. The service speed was very slow. In addition, although our waitress did check in on us once, we were never offered to have our waters refilled even though we finished them early on in our meals. That being said, the staff members were very friendly. You can tell that this is a local place because many of the staff and customers seemed to know each other and spoke Spanish with each other in a very friendly manner. There is plenty of seating inside the restaurant. Overall, La Kausa is a good local spot for authentic Peruvian food. I would recommend it to anyone looking for Latin American food in the North Bergen area.

Their Arroz Chaufa (Peruvian Fried Rice) is amazing!!! My husband and I are absolutely obsessed with their Arroz Chaufa with chicken (around $14). It is SO flavorful every single time! The ingredients taste very fresh. That green sauce is addicting. And the portion is huge. Oh and La Kausa delivers. What more could you ask for? Their Lomo Saltado is also good but not the best I've ever had. The beef is super tender but the sauce tasted a little watered down. Anyways, back to the Arroz Chaufa- Brb (be right back) I'm going to go order some now!

My goodness! My favorite Peruvian restaurant. The staff was friendly and it wasn't overpacked. The staff wore masks and accommodating. This was my first time eating inside of this restaurant. My husband and I usually get food to go and we eat it home. It made the experience better because I was able to have canchita and an Inca Kola!!! A MUST TRY!

It's my favorite restaurant here in the US. I needed homemade food like that. Prices are good, staff is great and also they are cleaning all the time. Can't wait to go back there!

WOW!! So so happy I tried this place. Came here with my boyfriend and we both are dyingggg to come back. Service was absolutely incredible. Multiple waiters attend you and they were all extremely nice and attentive. They really paid attention to us and were very personable and sweet. Food blew my mind, definitely topping this as my favorite Peruvian restaurant! We started with Papa a la Huancaina and Cheviche de Pescado. Both were amazing, but the ceviche was TO DIE FOR. Seriously, it tasted for fresh, perfectly lime-y, and just soooo good. Then, we both had Chaufa's as an entrees. They both hit the spot and the salsa verde added to it made it even more delectable. We're already planning our next visit back. The prices were definitely reasonable and the vibe is pretty cute. It's not a fancy restaurant, but very presentable and suitable for dates, family dinners, maybe even a birthday. If you are craving Peruvian food - RUN, don't walk to La Kausa!

If you walk into Kikiriki expecting a culinary journey through the streets of Lima, you might want…read moreto turn around and check the sign again. Despite proudly branding itself as a Peruvian restaurant, the menu tells a completely different story. Aside from a few items with "Peruvian" hastily slapped onto the front of their names, the selection is a bit of an identity crisis. But if you can look past the cultural bait-and-switch, Kikiriki actually has a few things going for it--namely, your wallet's happiness. The Food The Star: Rotisserie Chicken Let's start with the absolute best reason to visit. The chicken is, without a doubt, the savior of this establishment. Whatever SPICES they are using hits all the right notes. It's deeply savory, incredibly juicy, and sports a perfectly crisped, seasoned skin. If you stick to a quarter or half chicken order, you're going to leave happy. The Sidekick: The Fries Unfortunately, every superhero needs a good sidekick, and this chicken is flying solo. The French fries are the definition of "bland." They lack crispiness, desperately need salt, and feel like a total afterthought. Pro-tip: drown them in hot sauce or ketchup which you need to provide yourself. The Value Where Kikiriki truly shines is the receipt. In a dining landscape where a basic combo meal can easily push past $20, Kikiriki keeps things refreshingly old-school. The prices are exceptionally good for the portion sizes you receive. You can get a massive plate of food that will easily feed you for two meals without breaking the bank. The Verdict Go for the chicken, stay for the low bill, but don't expect an authentic Peruvian feast. Kikiriki isn't going to win any authenticity awards, and their fry cook needs a lesson in seasoning. However, if you are looking for a cheap, filling, and genuinely delicious chicken dinner, it's well worth a visit. Just think of it more as a great neighborhood chicken joint rather than an international dining experience.

I made a reservation and they've respected my request to be seated inside. The atmosphere inside is very vivid, like the name of the restaurant... it feels like you are in a party. My only wish is that they would play Peruvian music so the experience would be more immersive with the food. The menu is big and one of the things that I've liked was to see a lot of dishes that are not common in a Peruvian Restaurant outside Perú... like Aji de Gallina, Anticuchos and Picarones. Now the most important, the food... the quality was very good, since the plates arrived to our table, the smell and the presentation was a temptation to go all the way in. The ingredients used felt fresh and made to order. Every plate had its own characteristic and flavour... good size too. The "choco lucuma" cake for dessert was a great finish... moisty and the intensity of the chocolate and lucuma flavor to a good ratio. If you have the chance to try it... go for it, you'll not regret.

We ordered 2 dishes, the Lomo Saltado and 1/2 Pollo - both ended up lasting 3-4 meals which is great value! The Lomo Saltado was tender, juicy, and the sauce was savory, slightly sweet, and had a lot of depth. I wish there was more meat compared to everything else. loved that the sauce soaked up into the rice adding even more flavor to the bite. The French fries got soggy so I would suggest eating this first or be prepared to re-heat them if you can. The 1/2 Pollo was also tender, well-seasoned, and flavorful. It was absolutely delicious with the green sauce which cannot be skipped in every single bite. The Chaufa is a Peruvian-style Chinese fried rice mixed with eggs, chives, soy sauce; it compliments the chicken so well and can literally be eaten by itself too. The tostones were good but I wish maduros was an option as a side. I don't know why you can't substitute for that. All in all, good value, good flavors, and very filling!

I ordered this order as a takeout order. Service was okay, I asked to eat inside the restaurant and sit down and the lady at the counter said no because they would need to charge me to sit indoors which I had already paid $20 for the rice meal. The business was empty with only two tables being used so I thought it was not great customer service to not let me sit down and eat my food if the restaurant wasn't busy.
