Wow! The food is fantastic and the portion size is huge! The staff were very attentive. It's a perfect casual restaurant for lunch or dinner.

My first time here , I love it wonderful staff . The food was amazing so good , I try the sea food soup, excellent! Can't wait to go back . Its BYOB

Went here for lunch and got seated right away as there were not many people inside. The waiter was nice and the food came out quickly. However the leche de tigre was a bit disappointing it needed more flavor, so I added hot sauce (rocoto) and it was better. The ají de gallina was good and the causa was also good. I will certainly go back but I'll pass on the leche the tigre.

First time here, and we really enjoyed the food. We ordered causa w chicken, empanada de mariscos and chaufa w shrimp. So good with the sauce to EY served too. We're coming back to try other dishes.

I went to La Kausa for dinner and ordered the Arroz con Mariscos. This was a Peruvian style paella with seafood, and it was good, but not as flavorful as some other paella dishes that I've had. A few small points for improvement: the rice didn't have the creaminess that I've liked from other paella dishes and the seafood was not as plentiful as I would have liked. I also tried the Empanada de Mariscos (seafood) and Empanada de Carne (meat). The exteriors of both had the right amount of crispiness, while the interiors were average in quality. The service speed was very slow. In addition, although our waitress did check in on us once, we were never offered to have our waters refilled even though we finished them early on in our meals. That being said, the staff members were very friendly. You can tell that this is a local place because many of the staff and customers seemed to know each other and spoke Spanish with each other in a very friendly manner. There is plenty of seating inside the restaurant. Overall, La Kausa is a good local spot for authentic Peruvian food. I would recommend it to anyone looking for Latin American food in the North Bergen area.

Their Arroz Chaufa (Peruvian Fried Rice) is amazing!!! My husband and I are absolutely obsessed with their Arroz Chaufa with chicken (around $14). It is SO flavorful every single time! The ingredients taste very fresh. That green sauce is addicting. And the portion is huge. Oh and La Kausa delivers. What more could you ask for? Their Lomo Saltado is also good but not the best I've ever had. The beef is super tender but the sauce tasted a little watered down. Anyways, back to the Arroz Chaufa- Brb (be right back) I'm going to go order some now!

This was amazing.. The green sauce is the best sauce. The food was delicious, FRESH and tasty. Service was kind and attentive. The place is very clean as well. I will definitely be coming back.

My goodness! My favorite Peruvian restaurant. The staff was friendly and it wasn't overpacked. The staff wore masks and accommodating. This was my first time eating inside of this restaurant. My husband and I usually get food to go and we eat it home. It made the experience better because I was able to have canchita and an Inca Kola!!! A MUST TRY!

WOW!! So so happy I tried this place. Came here with my boyfriend and we both are dyingggg to come back. Service was absolutely incredible. Multiple waiters attend you and they were all extremely nice and attentive. They really paid attention to us and were very personable and sweet. Food blew my mind, definitely topping this as my favorite Peruvian restaurant! We started with Papa a la Huancaina and Cheviche de Pescado. Both were amazing, but the ceviche was TO DIE FOR. Seriously, it tasted for fresh, perfectly lime-y, and just soooo good. Then, we both had Chaufa's as an entrees. They both hit the spot and the salsa verde added to it made it even more delectable. We're already planning our next visit back. The prices were definitely reasonable and the vibe is pretty cute. It's not a fancy restaurant, but very presentable and suitable for dates, family dinners, maybe even a birthday. If you are craving Peruvian food - RUN, don't walk to La Kausa!

It's my favorite restaurant here in the US. I needed homemade food like that. Prices are good, staff is great and also they are cleaning all the time. Can't wait to go back there!

Unfortunately, the service and food didn't live up to the setting for us. Our waiter, Danny, seemed to have an attitude from the moment we arrived. He hardly checked on our table, and after overhearing his conversations with other tables, it was clear that the energy and attentiveness he gave them felt different from what we received. Since gratuity is automatically included for larger parties, it made the experience even more disappointing. As for the food, several dishes lacked seasoning, including the lobster mac & cheese, salmon, braised short rib, short rib ragu, and lobster croquettes. Our group spent almost $1,400, so unfortunately, we expected more from both the food and service. The views and ambiance are lovely, but based on our experience, I wouldn't return.

I wish she had told us this sooner, as we had to place a new order for my in-laws while we were almost done with our own food. strange that they were out of snow crab legs and dungeness crab so early in the evening and with so few customers. also the restaurant is freezing cold, dingy, and dark, which adds to the over all unpleasant dining experience. definitely skip this place!

Everything was so good but my favorite 2 dishes were the Risotto Verde which contained confit wild mushrooms, shaved summer truffles, and queso manchego. This dish left my mouth watering for more. The Wagyu filet mignon came with potato pave, glazed carrots in a romesco sauce. The filet mignon was cooked to perfection. The drinks here are also really good, especially the margaritas! The guac was good but could use a bit more salt, i wish they had chiccarons as chips instead of tortillas but the chips were great so wasn't a big issue. overall though expensive for some pretty average guac in my opinion. the seabass crudo was great, i loved the sauce and the mango went great with it. Super fresh, super tasty. Unfortunately the tacos were a mess, when it arrived the tortillas were so soggy that they were just coming apart, the meat was also falling off and overall the presentation was horrendous. the tacos weren't balanced as well, there were some with too much meat and then some with basically only cheese. overall flavor was not birria im typically use to but it was solid. honestly these tacos are probably the worst tacos i've ever had, for $20 it's a travesty. overall for a place nearby i'd come to get some drinks and the crudo and esquite because those were fantastic. but i'll pass on their tacos hard.
