This morning my husband and I went to 7 Mile Cafe after a friend raved about their food. We were super glad they recommended it to us as it's our new favorite breakfast spot. I had the blueberry pancake with eggs, bacon, and hash browns, while my hubs had a scramble with all the breakfast meats plus hash browns and we smothered it in gravy. It was delicious! Our waiter, Eason, did a wonderful job, as well. Since it was our first time there, he pointed out a few items to try, recommended the fresh squeezed orange juice, and was quick with coffee refills. Eason is a very knowledgeable person who did his best to make us feel welcomed, comfortable, and well-cared for. In summary, the food was delicious and the wait staff prompt and courteous. Breakfast (Because no one wanted to cook!): I am a believer that it is hard to muff up breakfast and these folks kept my theory going. We had a mix of basic breakfast and specialty items but for a busy kitchen, the meals were very good. I also saw nicely decorated places of pancakes being served to the table next to me and very little left when they finished. The menu is vast - the location surprisingly large. Our server apologized for the food wait which was nice but we could see they were very busy. (Here is a thought - on the weekends: since you are known for your baked items consider making low cost mini muffins and offering one each moved from basket to small plate by the server after meal ordering.) Food: Last time I came here It was 2022, and even still the consistency has remained the same since my first initial visit. The food is fresh, fabulous, and filling. We're from California (the Bay Area) and frankly this has got to be some of the best out of state food I've ever had. Absolutely no complaints, everything is exceptional. Service: 10/10. We walked in greeted with a smile by the young lady working at the front, followed by a quick seating arrangement. The food we ordered came out super quickly (simultaneously) so we were all able to eat together at the same time. Our waiter Mateo played a huge role in our experience today. Honestly, Mateo felt more like a friend as opposed to someone who's just there for the sake of collecting a check. He was extremely funny, accommodating and polite. Truly a fantastic person. We stopped in for breakfast and really enjoyed it! We had the Eggs Benedict and the Banana Split Waffles, and both were delicious. I also ordered a Bloody Mary, and it was really good. It wasn't crowded when we first arrived (on a Friday around 8:45am), but by the time we left the place was packed, which says a lot. Hubby and I came here Sunday after church for brunch. This is a 2 story location that is really nice. The place is huge. It was crowded and we had to wait 20 minutes for a table which is not a bad wait time. They have a coffee bar so you can either eat at the counter or order yourself a speciality coffee. We were seated upstairs and could look at the view from outside to downstairs. Our server Brenden came to the table and created us and took our drink order. Hubby ordered cranberry juice and I ordered the pressed orange juice. He later came back and took our food order. Hubby ordered the breakfast tacos with chicken apple sausage, eggs, hashbrowns, cheese, and tomatoes inside. It came with 2 types of salsa. I ordered a Belgium waffle with a side of turkey bacon and side of chicken apple sausage. We also order a biscuit with butter and jam. I asked Brendan if he could bring out the biscuit 1st before our food. He told me he would have to keep an eye on the order and he didn't have time to do that. I was a bit shocked by his rudeness. When our food arrived to our table,I was missing the syrup for the waffle and the jam for the biscuit. When I was finally able to track Brendan down I asked him for syrup and jam. If you know a customer is having any pancakes, waffles, French toast, or biscuits you should have the syrup and jam on the table before their food arrives to the table. It took him some time to bring the syrup and jam so my food was getting cold. I took a bite of my turkey bacon. I told Brenden the bacon was cold. He advised that he would replace the bacon. We ate some of our food and still he has not came back with the turkey bacon. I asked to a to go box for my food and hubby food. I told him since he didn't come back with the bacon to remove it from our bill. He said ok, we are busy so that's why you have not received your turkey bacon. He brought back the to go container and said I can close out your bill. I looked on the bill and said to Brendan that he still charged us for the turkey bacon. He said oh yeah let me remove it. I will say this the food was good but the quality of service was horrible. I shouldn't have to trqck down my server for basic things like syrup or jam and extra napkins. I should be able to receive everything I ordered hot and not cold and when you ask for replacement you never get it. The attitude of the server should be pleasurable and not semi-rude when you ask for certain things. I will try the place again but I hope to NEVER have Brendan again as my server. This place has become a family event destination, today was a birthday brunch. We walked right in with no wait and were taken care of by Kat. Food was brought out to us quickly and my drink (7 mile latte) was delightful. My family all ordered a few plates of french toast and I got the huevos ranchero plate. I've been to the location in flower mound. This location blew my mind! Two floors. Stair cases for guest and servers. Our server Grae (Gray?) was just delightful. This is my 4th time I believe to this location and it was such an enjoyable one. I went with my partner since I love their chocolate chip pancakes and mimosas and was craving them so bad. We went the other Monday and our server Lacie was the sweetest ever. She didn't hover or ignore us, laughed with our jokes, and was overall a great server.
