The beer battered fried halibut tacos with mild avocado crema were absolutely mind blowing. So good that I ordered a trio and quickly went back to put in another order. I have not had a fish taco as perfectly fried and tender as these. Crap. The restaurant was crowded and loud, which I understand can happen in a popular tourist spot, but the staff seemed completely overwhelmed and uninterested in helping customers. What bothered me most was the service from our waitress, Summer. In my experience, she came across as disrespectful and dismissive the entire time we were there. Simple questions about the menu felt like an inconvenience to her, and the attitude we received made the whole meal uncomfortable. We were rushed while ordering, had long waits for drinks and food, and when we tried to politely ask about the delay, the response felt rude instead of helpful. The food itself was average at best and definitely not worth the prices. Some items arrived lukewarm, and parts of our order were incorrect. By the time everything was fixed, the rest of the table had already finished eating. The atmosphere may appeal to tourists looking for the "old saloon" vibe, but customer service should still matter no matter how busy a place is. Overall, this was one of the least enjoyable dining experiences I've had in Alaska. Between the poor service, long waits, and disrespectful attitude we experienced from Summer, I wouldn't choose to come back or recommend it to others. I hope management takes customer concerns more seriously in the future because the location and concept have a lot of potential.

We asked what they recommended and without hesitation they said the salmon donut. I'll be honest, I was skeptical but we ordered one anyway and it was actually so good. The brioche donut base is fantastic and I think they use it for all of their donuts. We also got the Moose Tracks donut and wow... I genuinely think it might have been the best donut I've ever had. When I got home, I found out Jellyfish has gone viral for their salmon donut (I think the Ketchikan location is the one that blew up), but this Juneau location absolutely delivered. The server was really nice and quick. We ordered fish and chips as that is what they are known for. Man, those chips were delicious. The crumb was perfect not too oily, the fish was flaky and fresh. We loved every bite of it. Bot only the food was really delicious, it was pocket friendly as well as one basket was enough for 2 people.
