Service was friendly and very attentive. Margaritas were great and tajin was offered along with sugar or salt on the rim the el Zarape queso was awesome and I really liked the house salsa

Located right near Canton street, this is a true hole in the wall Mexican joint. There are reasons you should come here, but it's not food related. Out of my 6 years of living in this area, this place hit my radar twice. Once, bc I was new and wanted to try it out and again, bc I was tipsy and we all decided on Mexican after filling up at Gate City Brewing. Certainly a dive type of feel, and really old building. There's not much atmosphere here. It's reminiscent of a 70s Mexican restaurant. If you're coming here on purpose, it's either bc you're drunk or you want to get drunk. And hey, that's where I give my kudos to this place. The service and chips & salsa are both great, food is meh. Good news is they have 32oz beers. Takes me back to my college days in the 'Boro and eating at "The Hat" aka El Sombrero and getting 32oz beers for $3. It's a little more here bc, hey, it's not college and you're in the f'in nice part of Roswell where people sling dolla bills. But, certainly get your "drank" on here. The other people here on the night we stumbled in were all drinking ... huge party in the back getting lit and dancing, two ladies doing "moms night out" with the big gulp margaritas and elderly seniors having a blast. I had corn tacos with rice and a guacamole salad for my meal. It was ok. Ordered a to-go taco meal for my son. It's nothing spectacular. But, seriously, give them a shot if you're wasted or wanting to drink. You won't be disappointed on that front. I'll probably stumble in here again for exactly what I said above.

The food here is good, not amazing, but we had a craving for margaritas and they do make a good margarita! My husband had the chicken fajitas, it was odd they do not come out on a sizzling platter like you would get elsewhere, but they were good. I had the pollo funsido which is a grilled chicken breast with queso cheese and mushrooms, served alongside some vegetables and rice. The portions are generous, the service was good, although it was pretty quiet in the restaurant today. They do have a pretty extensive menu of all the things you would expect from your typical Mexican restaurant in America The food is actually reasonably priced, but the margaritas were nine dollars each and my husbands beer was another five dollars and my daughters virgin daiquiri was six dollars, so out of a total $70 bill, about half of it was our drinks, holy cow. I need to pay more attention to that next time! Again, their food is good and their service was good as well.

Chimichanga & cheese dip!

We had a feast!! Thanks guys! All the food was great! We had chimichanga, quesadilla, chips, cheese, beans and salsa! It was all great. We got it delivered because as I type this the COVID 19 pandemic is happening. They dropped it off and had gloves on to make sure everything was perfect and safe. The dinner was fantastic and we will be ordering again soon! Pro Tip: for some reason door dash does not list their cheese dip but you can orders bean dip and put in the notes you want cheese dip instead.

We came here because my husband wanted Mexican food for his birthday. We ended up spending $90 for…read more3 dishes and an appetizer. It certainly wasn't worth it. The plastic water cups looked foggy and old. Everything here just seemed old and dirty. We started with the Dip Trio because the salsa that came with the chips was very spicy. The Dip trio included Pico de Gallo (didn't look fresh), queso, and Guacamole. I ordered a Grilled Chicken burrito with Yuca Fries. The Grilled Chicken burrito barely had chicken and instead had a load of spicy chorizo (ground meat). It should've been called a chorizo burrito with chicken. The Yuca fries were like bricks (probably frozen). Our server was very nice which is why I gave this review 2 stars.

Had always seen this place driving to and from work and never thought to go in. However, I was in…read morethe area and wanted to try it out as I was starving. As soon as I walked in, I was seated and taken to a booth. Once I sat down I was handed a menu and was trying to figure out what I wanted. I was given water but the water tasted odd as if their filter needs to be changed. The seating was comfortable and there were plenty of places to sit. The ambiance was rather dark inside the restaurant. I ended up deciding on flautas and chose Mexican rice as my side. I didn't wait long for my food but the plating was very sloppy. A lot of cheese and just overall super unappetizing looking. However, I was starving so I made with what I had. The flautas were super oily and soggy so it was extremely hard to eat them without them failing apart. The rice was also watery as well and tasted mostly of tomato juice with how much watery they were. Service was alright, just very mediocre and grabbing plates when we weren't fully finished. Honestly, I could've made without going as the food was just alright. I most likely won't be coming back.

I had the carnitas street tacos and they were dry and tough to chew. I like my carnitas wet and fatty (I just drooled a little). But I actually didn't like chewing these as much as was required. From the moment we walked in, the experience was incredible. The atmosphere and décor immediately stand out the entire place is filled with guitars and music memorabilia that reflect the owner's personal love for music. It gives the restaurant a really unique and authentic vibe that you don't see everywhere. What made it even more special was hearing the story behind the location. We had the pleasure of meeting April, who shared the history of Rock N Taco with us. She explained how the owner used to bike through that part of town as a kid, and when the space later became available, he chose it for the second location. Knowing that story makes the place feel even more meaningful you can tell it was built with heart and passion. The service was exceptional. Our server, Savanna, was wonderful friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. In fact, every staff member we encountered made us feel invited and appreciated the moment we stepped inside. The food absolutely delivered as well. I ordered the taco salad and my husband ordered tacos, and we both loved our meals. Everything was fresh, full of flavor, and perfectly prepared. What stood out most, though, was how kind and accommodating the staff were to our family. We were traveling with both an infant and a toddler, and they made sure we were comfortable and taken care of the entire time. They even surprised us with a special treat on the house before we left, which was such a thoughtful touch. It's easy to see that while the food is fantastic, Rock N Taco understands that people go out for the full experience atmosphere, hospitality, and feeling welcomed and they absolutely nailed it. If you're in Roswell, do not skip Rock N Taco. It's not just a late-night spot; it's also the perfect place to stop during the day for a great meal or while passing through on a road trip. We'll definitely be stopping again the next time we're in town. Thank you - Tom, Alysia and family.

Rock & Taco feels like the kind of place that stays busy because after two margaritas, a few…read moretouchdowns, and a packed crowd, nobody's really focused on the food. The chips arrived so greasy I briefly considered checking my cholesterol before ordering dinner. The margaritas were forgettable and showed up with nothing on the rim. Salt? Tajín? A little effort? Apparently not. Our finished plates sat on the table for so long they started feeling like additional dinner guests. The guacamole looked like a first-round draft pick and tasted like it got cut during training camp. It had all the visual promise in the world, but the flavor suggested either overripe avocados or yesterday's leftovers wearing a fake mustache. The jalapeño poppers deserve special recognition. These weren't just an appetizer. They were a dare. I like spicy food and rarely complain about heat, but these things were weaponized. They seemed harmless at first, but the next morning you'll find yourself reflecting on every decision that led you to that moment. Let's just say your digestive system remembers them long after your taste buds have moved on. The tacos were aggressively average. My food arrived lukewarm, the buffalo sauce had all the heat of a Hallmark card, and the lettuce tasted like it had just completed a few laps in a swimming pool then stored in plastic. The highlight of the evening was Music Bingo, which was genuinely fun and probably responsible for keeping my overall rating higher than the food deserved. If you're looking for a place to watch sports, have drinks, laugh with friends, and enjoy the atmosphere, you'll probably have a great time. If you're going for a memorable meal, the most memorable thing might be those jalapeño poppers reminding you they exist 12 hours later.
