I'm glad that my girlfriend and I went to Green Coyote Cantina after passing by all the time. We came in on a Friday night and were seated right away with an amazing waitress who was super helpful and attentive. We were really hungry so enjoyed and appreciated the chips and salsa and absolutely loved the esquites and will definitely be back for those. The mains were fine, we had the Smoked Brisket Quesadilla and a taco with rice and beans and enjoyed them but would probably try a different main in the future. For how easy it was to park, walk in, and get a table we really enjoyed the experience and will likely return for the esquites and to try some new entrees! read more

Went here for dinner the other day with my friend, as we were looking for somewhere to go for Taco Tuesday. They have a few select tacos for $3 and two different types of margs for $5, so we couldn't pass it up! The tacos at regular menu price aren't too expensive either, so we could definitely see ourself coming back on any other day as well. We got some of the cheese dip too. All the tacos were so tasty and the cheese dip. Our first marg tasted a little too sweet. Almost like there was no tequila in it. We got a skinny margarita the second time around, and that tasted much better. We had dinner at Green Coyote Cantina on a Friday night recently. It wasn't too busy, so we were able to sit outside their deck seating area is very nice! Our server was friendly and helped us decide what to order. We all ordered margaritas and they were delicious. Strong too! The cheese dip was tasty, and the salsa was kind of spicy. Mary Catherine was our server in the bar area. She is great, and worked the floor and bar area. The drinks were good and she kept the service flowing smoothly and in the order I requested. The rest of the very young staff and there are lots of them need training. The place was flooded with young families, lots of children including screaming babies. Definitely not my cup of tea. Thank God I requested to sit at the bar as they originally offered me a booth in the middle of the open restaurant and within 30 minutes it was flooded with kids. The food was good. My husband loved his fajitas, I did not like my smoked brisket quesadillas so we took them home and he ate them the next day. In all honesty its a great family restaurant but I like to have date night and pay a sitter so on a Friday night I would just choose not to return. Lots of free parking. With so many staff they should have them check the restroom as it was a mess. Location is great. read more

The food and drinks are fine - it was the customer service that surprised us. We came in during off hours, and were able to sit at an outdoor table overlooking the water. But the heavens opened up and we had to scramble to get our plates up in the rain. The person that seated us came outside, but only to lower the umbrellas. We ran to the door with our food and drinks, and the bartender opened it. But he didn't say a word to us and walked away, so we stood in the middle of the restaurant, wondering what to do. Our server came out and sat us at a booth by the bar, with some type of air conditioner unit dripping on the table. My husband and I ordered another round of drinks. A lady behind the bar brought me mine, but we waited and waited for my husband's. Finally, he went up to the bar to order one, and the bartender pointed out that his beer had been "waiting" on the counter. We let our server know that we got it, and she misunderstood and charged us double. It was a comedy of errors and truly a lack of interest by the staff. read more

We also had guacamole but it was just ok, tasted a bit more like seasoning then I used to. We each got a local brew from scofflaws. Very pleasant experience, the staff was nice. I was very impressed with the food at this location and the quick service. We ordered a variety of appetizers and tacos to really get our taste buds popping and it did not disappoint! Our server took great care of us and upon walking in the hostess seated us at their front patio with their best view! They definitely took the best half of the patio where their next door restaurant neighbor doesn't have that good view. My only recommendations would be - 1) make the sweet tea sweeter! It tasted like unsweetened iced tea 2) the empanadas could use a little time longer in the oven, the flour wasn't thoroughly cooked. 3) give flour or corn tortilla options for the tacos 4) less lime on the street corn, they were a bit sour 5) I saw esquite on the menu, it's very popular with the same ingredients as the street corn (noticed it had different toppings from the street corn) maybe offer it as an alternative? 6) It's getting cold outside, I didn't see any patio warmers? The outdoor space wont be maximized once it's cold and people do not want to sit outside. Aside from that, everything else was perfect! read more

Always a new place to experience around the corner! Moxie Taco is a branch off from Moxie Burger (all in the same complex). This place is very Americanized Mexican. The seating for Moxie Taco and Moxie Burger is very much the same style and ambiance. Both have outdoor areas to eat at but Moxie Taco adjoins Camps patio to overlook the peaceful pond! Certainly ideal to come here if you are looking for a scenic patio and drinks. Our service was excellent too. So, that's really the main praise I want to give them. As for the food: I ordered the fajita burrito with chicken. It's a decent size burrito with no sides. I needed every bit of the salsa verde it came with to get some flavor out of it. Not joking, it was bland. Their salsa had no kick to it. Not even a little. And it looked so darn delicious too. I liked the chips but they did crumble easily. My gf got some tacos with the Mexican street corn. I was so excited to try the corn and it was just overly salty. Sigh. However, one of her tacos (the Cod) was a lettuce wrap and it was delicious. Get that for sure! The beer list for draft was meh. 3 drafts (normal Mexican beers) and a rotating tap of only 3 beers, which were all IPAs. $5 for Dos Equis? I guess I'll chalk that up to East Cobb living. Overall, it's decent. I think I the atmosphere could bring me back here and the lettuce wraps. Worth checking out! read more

We ordered guacamole which was clearly pre-made somewhere and not fresh. For the amount of money we spent, the food should have been much higher end. Don't think we will go back. A great place. Eric at the bar is a great bartender who pours tasty drinks and even makes up his own concoctions that are wonderful. We order off the menu to get his own specials every time. The food is great too. The new ownership has put together a wonderful menu. The hot wings are really hot. Just the way they should be. Curbside Pick Up So I've been playing it safe these last couple months due to high risk family members and have just started to really get out. It's been hard because I have a few fav places that I have wanted to be able to support but also had to navigate my family's medical concerns and emotional concerns...We have been packing in our own food (that we have procured via food delivery OR pick up) and just started to do take out and delivery from places. Some of my fav. places have closed their doors and that makes me sad. We LOVE Moxie Burger and Moxie Taco...pre-pandemic we have eaten at Moxie Taco a couple times and enjoyed it. This girls night, my friend placed an order and I swung by to pick it up. I pulled up to the curbside pick up parking and called the number. First time, no answer. Second time (after the curbside guy went back in after taking someone else their order to their car), the guy answered and I gave him my friends name. He came out masked and put the food in the passenger side window. Very pleasant and quick interaction. The food was still hot and the chips (I got nachos) were still crispy when I got to my friends house (for a socially distant girls night). I'd say our experience was pretty good. Oh, and while I was waiting I saw several people go in. They were wearing masks to walk into the restaurant. It seemed like the operation was running well. read more

I came in here on the way home from my son's soccer tournament on a Saturday night and it wasn't very crowded. Our server Derek, who was great, sat us down immediately and was very nice. I ordered the steak burrito and my son ordered some ground beef tacos. We shared churros after. I liked the ambiance as the Tex-Mex style was very nice. Went there for date night at around 5:30 pm on a Tuesday, and there was no one there. Empty restaurant and wide open bar. We asked if we could sit at the outdoor portion of the bar and we we're told no.... About an hour later they opened it for other customers -but maybe our bad timing... We sat outside at a table instead and ordered margaritas. They were watered down, honestly questioned if they forgot the alcohol. We complained and they apologized, but at $10 a piece it felt like we got robbed.... That drives the 2 star rating... Food was fine, ordered a chimichanga and it came out as expected. So i read alot of reviews on here where Karens complained this place wasn't "Moxie Taco". Well Karen, Moxie taco failed for a reason. Their food sucked. I've lived in San Diego where Mexican food is king. There's a handful of places in Atlanta that stack up to my stabdards: Superica, Bone Garden, and Zama to name a few. Green Coyote competes at this level. Moxie Taco competed at the Taco Bell Level, which is why they failed. It should be stated I am a huge fan of Moxie Burger. Mocie Burger is good at Burgers. Thats their bread n butter. Moxie taco...not so much. So Green Coyote...are they best in Atlanta? No. Superica and Bone Garden still exist. But Green Coyote is likely best in East Cobb. Their salsa and queso are legit. Are they better than $hitb0x moxie taco? By far. Dont let karen's Moxie Taco allegiance fool you, these guys are much better. So thats that. This used to be a great Mexican restaurant. The new menu no longer offers our family favorites. Small Guacamole was slightly more than what I got on my burrito, which I was good. I got the feeling all of it was to cut expenses and increase profits. We will need to find a new go to Mexican place. read more

Super cute spot! I would call this an upscale taco place. The deck is so cool and cozy with lots of seating! All the food that we had was tasty; well, 3 out of 4 would say it was! I had the fried chicken taco and fried cod taco with lettuce wraps, the brisket taco, and the Mexican street corn. Definitely some good healthy options! Love Moxie Taco! So many gluten free options! :) As someone with celiac disease I am used to having limited options when dining out - but not here. The staff is super knowledgable and almost all the taco options are GF, chips are GF, and the amazingly dope cheesy corn dip is also GF. The brisket taco was amazing.
