God bless this place !! Came here during my lunch break . First time eating a lamb Greek sandwich! To start of , I got greeted with joy and kindness. Placed my order took a bite & then boom all the flavors exploded in my mouth ! Out of the nowhere my Wednesday didn't seem so bad. Every bite was fresh and soo good! Will be back !

So good! Delicious Mediterranean/Greek food near LMU and Otis College of Art and Design. It's a very small spot in a strip mall. There are a few small tables inside and a small bar area for a quick bite and go. The staff is super nice and accommodating to help you choose the best items. It is reasonably priced and a must go to if you're in the area looking for a good meal.

AMAZING greek food in Venice! Such a great option for lunch or dinner take-out. Friendly staff and delicious options. Food is ready very quickly and great prices! I enjoyed the falafel platter - the falafel was the perfect amount of moist and flavorful, the hummus and other accoutrements were all so delicious. My partner enjoyed the Lamb Gyro and was impressed with how delicious it was as well! Will absolutely be ordering from Ela again and recommending it to all of our friends in the area.

This was our first visit, and we ordered quite a spread: gigantes, the salmon bowl with quinoa pilgouri salad and tahini, the shaved beef brisket bowl with rice and tzatziki, the lamb gyro with tahini (though it came with tzatziki instead), the traditional Greek salad, Greek lemon potatoes, moussaka, chicken avgolemono soup, spanakopita, and baklava. It was definitely more food than we needed for four people, but we were eager to try as much as possible. Overall, everything was fantastic, and I would gladly order it all again--except for the soup. Three out of four of us found it too sour. I've had avgolemono soup before and, based on the reviews, I was expecting it to be my favorite, but it missed the mark. The restaurant has limited parking outside and a cozy amount of seating inside. There's no restroom available, so keep that in mind if you plan to dine in. The service was warm and accommodating; we requested hot water, which isn't typically offered, but they made it work for us. The food was excellent, though on the pricier side. If you're looking for ambiance, however, this may not be the place, as the focus is clearly on the food.

I had the Greek bowl tonight with quinoa and the chopped Greek salad. It was excellent. They've changed the salad with the Greek bowls. It has lots of sliced cherry sized tomatoes, and fine chopped cucumbers, An excellent improvement! So fresh and tasty.

I don't post many reviews. But I've been coming to this place for 6 years or so. I went in today and spoke with Carlos. I had already ordered, and I was talking about how great the lemon potatoes are, but that I'm trying to lose a couple lbs. He insisted I take some on the house. I can't say no to that. I wasn't expecting that sort of generosity, nor did I deserve it to be frank. But I'm happy I have em. This place has the best Greek food in Venice. I'm not saying it because of his generosity, but for the fact that it is the best. Pita, the best. Beef gyro, the best. Lemon potatoes, the best around(not even close). Local business and owner....the best. Thank you! For the past 6 years....

Do yourself a favor. Get the lamb here. In a bowl. In a salad. In a wrap. On the side. Just get it in some capacity. Those slow roasted, juicy, tender, and mouth watering flavors make the lamb the undeniable option at Ela. The chicken bowl with rice was also solid (I just added my side of lamb to that bowl). The rice and veggies were fresh and had nice, authentic, zesty spices. And the chicken was pretty good. But next time, I'll just get double lamb. The lamb stole the show. Ela's also has that hole-in-the-wall type charm. More of a to-go spot with its lack of space, but there are a few seats and tables inside if you choose to dine in. I wouldn't recommend dining in with more than 3 people here though. An excellent option for a healthy, fresh, and authentic meal. I'll for sure be back!

So finally for our one year wedding anniversary, my hubby made us dinner reservation. And it was such an intimate, beautiful, and yummy surprise. I suppose Paloma, is unusual for Abbot Kinney, bc she's like a secret, tucked behind a wall of palm trees. So you never see what's happening inside or its aesthetics. But she does NOT disappoint. We ordered fresh, mint tea and Singaporean street corn which comes with bread for appetizers and it was supper yummy! I'd order our menu line up exactly again, when we go! And then for entrees we had mushroom ravioli and salmon asparagus in a carrot puree. And my dish was served is a dinosaur egg, looking plate structure. Super cool, all was delicious and we ate leftovers the day after as well. We then headed indoors to the bar: and my hubby preferred his usual mezcal from Jeremy the bartender. Who recommend we come for brunch and order a bfast wrap. All the service here is excellent as well. I then headed to explore the cool art and lamps hanging in the bathroom, with old school elevator doors. Was such a fun, yummy, elegant character-filled, coastal experience. Now we know Paloma is super local beauty. We'll be coming over often, and thank you for a delectable, yummy anniversary dinner guys.

The chicken was OK, but I would've preferred it with a little bit more seasoning/flavor and a little hotter as well. It was not bad, but it didn't pop like it was outstanding. As far as the lentil soup goes, they're very light lentils so they're not the normal lentil soup that you may be used to. That could've viewed a little bit more seasoning as well. As far as the Greek salad goes, it was just an average and ordinary small Greek salad, but it was tasty and the vegetables did taste fresh. They gave me two little slices of pita bread so I had to ask for more, but when I came out. Those were not heated like they should've been. Therefore, the bottom line is the food is good not outstanding and memorable and there's definitely room for improvement. We will definitely give them another chance and hope for the best. After having a great experience at a Panini Kabob Grill restaurant in Costa Mesa a couple of weeks…read moreago, we decided to try this location very close to our home. It was a mixed bag for sure. When we walked in, we were greeted right away and told to sit wherever we liked, so we chose an outdoor table. Our waiter promptly came and got us started with our drink and food orders, and returned quickly with our drinks. I liked him and his pleasant, cheery manner very much. But then it all started to go sideways. Our tzatziki appetizer arrived not too long after our drinks, which was great. It was a very generous portion, accompanied by an equally generous amount of pita bread triangles, along with a small salad of lettuces and tomato. Our entrees came out about 15 minutes or so later - but they were not, in fact, our orders. So the waitress who brought them (not our original waiter) returned to the kitchen and reappeared with our orders a few minutes later. We had ordered a Chicken Brie panini and a Chicken Parmesan panini, each with a very generous side of Greek salad. The sandwiches were decent, yet somehow rather lacking in flavor. Fortunately I had a cup of marinara sauce to dip my sandwich into, but Boyfriend didn't have a sauce and felt the Brie had overtaken his whole sandwich and the chicken was pretty tasteless. After we had eaten our fill, we sat and waited. And waited. Finally our original waiter came back to clear our plates and we asked for a couple of to-go boxes. He said "of course, be right back," but we waited again for another 10-15 minutes. He brought the boxes back and we asked for the check, which again took 15 minutes of waiting. To be fair, our waiter was extremely energetic and pleasant and he did keep apologizing for the wait. I feel like he was definitely overwhelmed and was doing his best, as he seemed to be nearly the only server in the place and he had way too many tables to attend to. It wasn't spectacular, but it also wasn't terrible. We may come back again to sample some of their other varied menu items, but this restaurant definitely needs to improve the efficiency of its service.
