I have never made a MD appt and not seen an MD. Never. Furthermore This group shows on its web site 21 Dermatologists on staff. Not 1 was available to see me? However I found out that after my APPT and the prescription was challenged by my insurance company .....that I did not even see a Derm. I saw a Derm assistant. Full price was charged for the visit and the prescription which was very expensive did not work for my issue. I provided all insurance information with the appt costing $210. My secondary was not billed correctly and after medicare I have a $104.58 balance. I was told when I spoke to the billing office that I could either pay or be put into collection. This was a total waste of my time, money and I still have to find another Derm to actually see me and determine what can be done.

However, when I arrived just five minutes past their 10-minute grace period (after calling ahead to let them know I'd be slightly late), I was told I had missed my appointment and the most she could offer was a conversation -- not the actual service. I found this incredibly disappointing and frustrating, especially given the effort it takes to travel from NYC without a car, and the fact that I've been a loyal client for years. I arrived for my scheduled appointment with Carmen, after receiving multiple appointment reminders and a voicemail confirmation. Upon arrival, I was informed that my appointment had been changed. Carmen then approached me and stated her manager had contacted me. I advised her that I had never received any call from a manager. Carmen proceeded to state that she had been told I informed her manager that I tip her through a mobile payment service. This statement is completely false. I have never spoken with any manager regarding tips, nor have I made such a statement. The last tip I provided to Carmen was given in an envelope. Carmen then informed me that, because of this situation, she no longer wished to see me as a client. I was shocked and embarrassed, especially since these accusations were made in front of other customers. Not only was I not properly notified about the appointment change before arriving, but I was also falsely accused and publicly embarrassed. To make matters worse, I was told that if I wanted to be seen by another associate, I would have to wait an additional hour. This entire experience was unprofessional and disappointing. As a customer, I should not feel pressured to tip out of fear that false accusations will be made against me. Given this experience, I have lost confidence in this location and its management. I only have two passes remaining, and I will use them at another location. After that, I do not plan to return to European Wax Center. I hope this matter is reviewed seriously, as no customer should be treated in this manner.

That charge appeared on my January statement (which I received in late January); I assumed it was for the December service. I called at the end of March to say "Hi, can we please take care of this" and the answer I finally got today from the location manager was, Nope, since I didn't call within 30 days of the first charge. I didn't even know about the first charge within 30 days! So, I guess this is on me - $600 worth of waxing which I will never use - for not being zealous about checking my credit card statement.

Immediate Pain & Acknowledgment: Immediately after the wax removal, I informed the esthetician, Treasure, that the areas above and between my eyebrows were extremely painful. Negligent Aftercare: I questioned whether a proper post-wax cleanser (such as rubbing alcohol) had been used. Treasure confirmed that "No" such cleanser was applied. I was only advised to use a generic ointment and Vitamin E oil. Upon returning home, the painful area above and between my eyebrows became severely red and inflamed. I subsequently confirmed that the skin in these blotches-on both sides above the brow and between the brows-had been physically lifted and removed (skin abrasion/burn).
