First they didn't order the part for two whole weeks, and when they did they messed up the shipping. They stated the part was sent to their sister store in Louisiana, and it was going to be another week for the part to arrive here. This was about the middle of May. Two weeks ago they called to say it was ready, and I paid $100. After picking it up I charged it up, and turned it on only to find out the touch screen still doesn't work. Obviously they do not test their work to make sure it's actually done. So I brought it back to them, and they said the part they got in is bad, and they're sending for a new one. As of today I am still pending their call to say it's actually fixed. I spoke with the business directly next to them which is a comic book store, and they have had similar experiences like mine trying to fix broken X-Box consoles. parts being sent to the wrong store, and one console came back with half the parts missing entirely. Avoid this business at all costs, once I get my tablet back finally I'll go to Austin for any repair work. The drive may suck, and I might pay double what this place charges but at least I'll get a working product that doesn't take 3 months in the repair shop to achieve. I'll edit more into this review when I finally do get my tablet back, and if it's not working the next time they call me I'll be taking this business to court.

1-Star Review Let me…read morebegin by saying this experience was an absolute nightmare. I brought my phone to TECHY simply to have the cracked glass repaired. From the start, I felt uncomfortable because I was pressured into replacing the battery as well, even though my battery was working fine and did not need to be replaced. After being told they were going to give me another battery, I was then informed that I would have to pay a very high price for the replacement, which I never agreed to in the first place. After that, communication nearly stopped. I didn't hear from them for almost two weeks. When I finally called back -- because the delay was beginning to hurt my business -- it felt like I was being avoided. Eventually, I learned the real reason for the delay: my phone had been burned beyond repair because it was left on a warming pad while they were attempting to remove the battery -- the very battery I never authorized them to replace. At that point, I had no choice but to escalate the situation. I contacted corporate H-E-B, where this business rents space, to get them involved. Only then did things move forward. TECHY refunded my money due to the damage they caused and provided me with another phone -- but it turned out to be a government phone that required a TracFone monthly plan, which I never agreed to. This entire situation caused unnecessary stress, loss of time, and disruption to my business. Please be very cautious if you consider coming here. This is why I am giving TECHY one star.
