Great first experience! Very reasonable prices (remember to pay cash if you don't want the cc surcharge). My bf and I got the sports massage for 100 minutes. I had Kelly and she was super friendly and applied the right amount of pressure I needed. She was great at accommodating me (where I wanted more attention and when the hot stones were a bit too hot for certain areas of my body)! Easy to schedule and was able to get a same-day appointment. I had the last appointments of the night. I came in for a deep tissue massage and all I got was a gentle rub down. I mentioned to the masseuse twice if she could use more pressure, she would say "okay" and continued with the same pressure. She left the room several times to get towels and hot stone (which I didn't even request for). Each time she left it was at least 5 mins or more. I made the mistake of scheduling a 90 mins massage. I was literally wanting for it to be over. I felt so rushed after the massage was finally over. I asked if I could used the shower to wash up. I could see her eyes rolled as she pointed me the way towards the bathroom. This experience was not relaxing at all. I would most definitely never come back here again. read more

We have been going to this spa for the past couple of years and by far we enjoyed our visits except for today. The lady who did my massage was very unresponsive to what I was telling her. She kept on using her forearm and elbows for my whole back. I asked her to use her hands and apply pressure, and she just said, " Sorry, my hands have no pressure.. " If that was the case, you should not be in the massage business then! And then she just rubbed my arms with oil and did not even give my legs a massage. I have seen this place many times on the way to work and last week I decided to give it a try. Customer service is poor, they expect you to pay upfront and they have board indicating how much to tip ($20+ for awesome massage?). Rooms are nice and appear to be clean, but no privacy at all. They have peep holes in the door (not sure why) and the door cannot be shut down properly. Looks like they have applied some tape so it does not latch properly. The massage therapist tuned on the light all the way up - it was too bright for me. Someone opened the door in the middle of the session. Of all the massage spas in the area, Elegance is by far the best and most professional. I use them when I have overworked my back and body from construction projects or workouts and they know how to apply just the right pressure to heal what is sore. Since they opened, I have had over a dozen massages and they are consistently excellent and dependable. Other places I have tried in the area have been with mixed results based on who is doing the massage. At Elegance all of the masseuses are highly trained and dependable. Jasmine and Helen are exceptional for deep tissue massage. Have used Becky as well on occasion and is very good. Though slightly more than other places, they are the best value as they have a shower available and a clean, quiet surroundings. Many of the other places in Milpitas have full body massage in the back where there is a lot of background noise which kills the atmosphere. I cant recommend them enough. read more

After the intensive physical work-out every week, I came to this spa and I got physical and mental relax. The different masseuses, such as Sinna, Jusmine and CC gave me the services and all of them are very professional and skillful. I went to this place before for the first time and was very impressed about my experience. The girl that did my massage was very good although it hurts but it took away my soreness,she really knows the pressure points.I was very impressed enough that I bragged and about it to my coworkers. She covered everything from head to toe. Even though they shouldn't over booked, I hate being rushed. To be clear; 10% tip for each masseur was left the first day. And the second day for a horrible massage where she didn't even turn me over and I had to repeatedly request to focus on all areas - I chose to not tip and both days I was harassed for the tip with ALL of them coming onto us. Reviews are left for places which are either horrible or extremely good. And this business is by far the lowest rung ever. Save yourself from this awful experience!! In response to your reply: 1) You said "Yes, tipping is voluntary, but you should understand that your tips are not acceptable for the level of service you received" - Exactly, tipping is voluntary as you yourself put it. And it is according to the level of service received. The tip we gave first time was 10% of the price and did not the second time round - both of which were proportional to the quality of service. The averaging of the tips does not quite make sense because it was different masseurs at different times. If, according to you, the tips are not "acceptable" then specify outside in a sign stating that customers need to tip minimum 10$ and that it is mandatory. You cannot force the customer a) to pay a tip and b) to pay a tip that is to your liking and c) catch the customer unawares after the service has been completed. BTW most of your 1-star reviews are regarding tip demand at the end of the massage and upfront payment. 2) Family members: The staff had multiple junctures during the massage to come and let my husband know that they were being loud (and they would have definitely complied by either being quiet or going out). I don't think they were loud and the staff were interacting with my daughter quite pleasantly throughout. "We do not want a repeat performance" - is a rude and an insensitive statement as no one is trying to purposely sabotage your business here. We won't "repeat" visiting again, that is for sure! 3) The issue was about communication that was required to tell the second day masseur (whose English was not that good) and the massage that she performed; which I was not satisfied with at all. As for your comment about asking for assistance, I was already in a lot of pain and I had come to get some relief; not spend most of my time trying to make myself understood. 4) "On a side note, I couldn't help but notice that your unhappiness seems to transcend all 9 of your Yelp reviews in 2018. They average 1.67 Stars." - You have absolutely no right to comment on my experiences with other places, it is none of your "business". I do not wish to communicate with you anymore and waste my time. First review: Probably the worst spa I have come across in terms of business. They FORCE you pay a MINIMUM of 10$ tip even if you don't like the massage. The manager sent me a long list of rules to abide by to consider an appointment. They don't understand English AT ALL mind you. There was so much miscommunication from the time you step in. I had asked the masseur to focus on the shoulders in the whole body massage and she ONLY did the shoulders and I had to constantly keep telling her to continue the whole body massage. My 3year old daughter was sitting in the reception waiting for me and she is a mellow kid and barely said I few words amd they were OUT of the place walking around for the most part! I could hear and the manager sent me a big pointed agreement list where one of the points was to not bring family even for few minutes! The staff even talked to her and made her respond and the manager has the audacity to send me a agreement email to not get family ?? The first place which FORCES you to tip 10$ or MORE saying the price is a 'steal' and especially when you didn't like the massage and they don't even get what you are trying to say! All.of them hover around you till you pay the tip and don't understand English and then a 'agreement' is sent to the client that they will not accept the appointment unless I sign it and say I will pay 10$ in tip?? This was my first experience on having a massage. Didn't really care for the busy parking lot and that you had to go upstairs. Didn't see a elevator so wasn't handicap accessible. For this reason I don't give five stars. But my massage therapist was really nice and her hands were smooth. Felt very relaxed with the nice calm music in the back-round. However, when we arrived, we were told that Laura was not available and the owner assigned Vicky instead. During an hour of massage, we did not feel any relief for our pain and tiredness, as Vicky even did not have any work on my head nor my front shoulder and arms. I have tried numerous massage/spa including retaining a membership at a local one. However, the massage I received rates as one of the best. Every point that I needed massaged was covered. My therapist Cici, checked to make sure the pressure was fine, (which I appreciated), definitely knew when to increase and decrease, and there isn't sufficient space here to expound on how well she did.
