Elegant Dentistry is the best dental office on the westside, and that's why I have been going there for years. Sarah the receptionist is so friendly, organized, and prompt. She is so professional yet doesn't make the office feel pretentious or fussy. Whenever I have a question about anything, she always has an answer. Dr. Caroline and Dr. Marjaneh are amazing dentists and are so knowledgable. They have a gracious touch and I feel like I can truly trust them with all my dental needs. They are also very friendly. Lastly, Sonya is one of the best dental hygienist out there. I can't rave about her enough. She always cleans my teeth so well, and has taught me so many ways to keep my teeth in tip top shape. I've been going to Dr. Moghimi and her team for several years. The only reason I'm not a patient anymore is because I moved out of state. I've been happy with all the hygienists there, and I've been really satisfied with my crown work. One time, during a procedure, a panic attack started to take over me. Dr. Moghimi noticed right away and took me on a walk and told me a story about herself. It was so helpful to me. And kudos to Sarah for being the friendly face of the office and bargaining on my behalf with the dental insurance company. Highly recommend this practice! read more

Honestly I wanted to like this dentist based off proximity to my home (I switched from another) and I've had unpleasant experiences every time I've been here (3 for cleaning). As many recommendations as everyone's been giving on healthcare/teethcare, I've been 8 months pregnant and the dentist recommended I come in again right before I deliver my second toddler. *shrug* fine, but when I come in having an exhausting morning and having attitude on me from a dentist who is going to cause me discomfort because of my pregnancy- that's crossed the line. For context it's very uncomfortable and not advised to lay down flat especially this pregnant, so as she asked me if she can adjust the seat lower I simply asked that I just don't stay flat for more than 15 minutes because of the bump/my back. While trying out different lower angles and her asking if it was OK and I said yes, she responded "well, I don't know how to do your teeth in this position then. I guess I'll stand." Well, honestly maybe yall should've thought of this long ago when you recommended I come in this late my second time within my pregnancy; surely you've had pregnant patients and know they have certain needs...I'm so sick of how pushy the upsell costs have been and to pay before everything. I've been seeing Dr. Moghemi for 17 yrs. I was such a chicken when it came to a dentist before I started coming here. she has to be the most gentle dentist, ever. I've had everything done at least once. ie: extractions, none graf, cavities, bridge, crown and deep cleaning and never once did I feel pain when the anesthesia wore off. That in itself should be an indication of her work. she explains everything before and after each procedure and listens to your questions and/or concerns. I can go on and on about this Dr. but I'll leave it like this.... when you go see for yourself think of me saying .."you're welcome" she won't disappoin, I promise. office staff... Sarah is the best of the best. she is so nice, accommodating while waiting (which my the way, isn't like most Dr. appt., you never wait longer than a few min. max. unless the Dr. is working on an emergency) Sarah will make sure you are comfortable. she's always pleasant, professional and friendly. You can tell she loves working with the Dr. she's been with this practice as long or longer than I've been coming here. I did not have a good experience here. Dentist tried to upsell me an $800 deep cleaning that wasn't covered by my insurance. They kept saying they sent the information to my insurance but that the insurance company was taking a while/wouldn't approve it. Then they ended up ghosting me about the whole thing. I went to my dentist back home for a second opinion and I was told I did not need the cleaning in the first place. Elegant Dentistry also told me I had cavities which would need to be filled and my dentist at home did not find any cavities. Would not recommend this place. read more

Pros: -Location w/ parking -Nice Staff -Easy Scheduling via ZocDoc -Got my problem tooth fixed (filling) Cons: -Had to fill double forms because ZocDoc online form wasn't used, (wish the online form wasn't an option to begin with) -Equipment seemed a tad outdated with some exposed wiring and tape in some areas -Tooth treatment was very a la carte, didn't really get helpful answers other than a recommendation for a crown for a neighboring tooth -numbing gel wasn't applied directly on-site of numbing injection so the first few injections were very painful -The saliva ejector was left hanging on the opposite side of my mouth and was very uncomfortable throughout the procedure (in past experiences it gets brought in here and there but never just hung on my lip) -post filling I wasn't offered the opportunity to rinse my mouth or anything and was left to guess the visit was over read more

I moved to the area recently and was looking for a new dentist. With a close location and decent reviews, I decided to go to Elegant Dentistry. I had high hopes, until they let me know on my first visit I had (according to them) periodontitis and would need routine deep cleanings every 3 months (which are EXPENSIVE, even with insurance). With a quick google search for more information on the condition, i naturally panicked and continued with care. It wasn't until I recommended a relative to go also and they told him that he had the same thing, I realized there was something up. I reached out to another local dentist who informed me that I INFACT DID NOT HAVE this and I was being given false information. Don't fall for the scam like i did. read more

Awful awful fraudulent office. Dr. Moghimi and the rest of this office -- very dishonest people. The dentist drills holes into your teeth and tried to harm you so that you need more "treatment" from them. On top of it, the rudeness is unbelievable coming from a scam dentist. There is no universe in which she would willingly contact me to find out what is wrong and try to correct it. These are not nice people. Trust me! I didn't even report my pain to her initially, because I don't trust her. Dishonest dentist and a dishonest office staff to help her. I have asked my lawyer (I am not kidding or bluffing when I say this) to prepare to move forward with the lawsuit against her and the dental office because this woman has the nerve to have an awful attitude about her causing tooth injury and so much pain. I believe it was done purposely and I have evidence that proves it. The nerve to continue to bill me unnecessarily for services after putting me in harms way and being told about it is insane. This dentist is going to be held accountable and I have also spoken to another patient who have experienced a similar issue of getting injured at this dentist office. We are speaking with a 3rd patient who shares our experiences and is planning to do something about this because ELEGANT DENTISTRY should not be open for business. I had the worst experience with Dr. Moghimi than with any other dentist. I needed to replace my two upper front teeth. From the beginning Dr. Moghimi repeatedly pushed me to have more work done even though I had told her that my finances were extremely limited. My "new" teeth are a nightmare in that they were much larger than my original teeth and protruded in a comical manner. I was told that they were perfect and that I would "get used" to them. A few days later I was asked by a child: Why do your teeth so big. And then told that I looked like Bugs Bunny (not a look I was going for). The teeth were badly aligned so that I can't bite because the upper and lower teeth meet only at one small point on one tooth. read more

This is the single worst dentist I've been to, I needed to get my yearly dental cleaning done and decided to give this place a chance - boy did I make a mistake on this one. Let's break it into two sections: 1. Customer service: Front desk and the dental hygienist are actually quite pleasant - talked about their families and kids, great group of people. The problem is Dr.M, her attitude made the experience very memorable to say the least. My first day on my appointment and she was poking around my teeth and I mentioned that it hurts, instead of asking if I am okay or offering any sort of help, she has the audacity to ask me if we want to do this another time. Later on I was sent home because my x-rays took too long and was asked to come the next day. This is just the first experience, I only went back because I had no other options as other reputable practices have been booked up. The second day when I came she asked me why I decided against doing deep cleaning (um, lack of self awareness much? Being rude to people and expect them to become committed customers, how is this place still in business?). Then quickly gave up on a few quick scrapes and sent me on my way. 2. Review comments: Before you do your usual "sorry we can't find you in our patient database" comments on the below bad reviews to try and invalidate our experiences, my patient name is Ziqiu Li. Make sure you look it up! Cause you can't hide the bad reviews forever. DO NOT go to this dentist! Terrible terrible services very unpleased with their unethical business practice. Had a root canal and bridge replacement that was not necessary which I found out later. It looks horrible I should have ask for a second opinion Overcharged me, lied about what the insurance covered. Than charge me the part that the insurance was suppose to cover. The worst experience I have ever had, and everytime I smile I am reminded of them arghhhh Unethical all the way around from their office staff to the actual Doctor. There are plenty of DDS in LA to choose from, save yourself a heartache and don't come here... I found Elegant Dentistry through a bit of an emergency Google search; I had an irreparably cracked tooth that became infected and was incredibly painful. Every single person at the office was so very professional and extremely kind. I'm especially so grateful that not a single professional there ever felt the need to editorialize my situation, for better or worse. Meaning, I knew the tooth was probably beyond repair when I walked in. I was in pain. Even if someone means no ill, (allegedly) benign comments like "yikes that's a bad one" or whatever are the opposite of helpful. Thankfully, there was none of that here. Even when it was determined that extraction was the best route, which, even at its best is still a big yikes, everyone treated me with the utmost care. I am so very grateful. It was my first ever extraction. I did become nervous during the process. And I cannot emphasize how grateful I am for the care I received, and to have felt like I mattered to this office and this staff; even though it was my first visit, and a difficult one at that. I also want to add that I was seeing a different dentist last year, when the crack first happened, who instilled no confidence in me whatsoever. In an ideal world, I would've followed up with the "expert" recommended by that dentist, who was clearly inept, and gotten treatment earlier this year. Instead, we are in a pandemic world, and I've had significant losses, so if I could deal with a cracked tooth, so be it. Then it got infected and the pain was unbearable. Point being, I was already in a vulnerable position when I found Elegant dentistry. I had already had a dentist make the issue out to be way more than it was, and that's BEFORE the crack had advanced. I wish there was a zero rating option to give to this dentistry, but there is not, so I am choosing the lowest possible option! I would like to say that their customer service is horrible and I went through a terrible ordeal with this dentistry. I chose the dentistry for root canal treatment, because I found a dentist in my dental insurance providers' list working there. I called several dentists offices from my dental insurance providers' list to choose a dentistry. I provided this dentistry my insurance information, the tooth number, and the root canal treatment I needed and asked them to provide me a treatment plan with the cost I'll be paying for. I am a prudent person and I asked them to provide my treatment plan in the beginning with, providing them my insurance information to avoid surprises as dental treatments cost a lot of money. I received by email their response with attached treatment plan and the email said that the cost I pay is based on their communication with my dental insurance company. I checked their treatment plan and the cost they were charging me and agreed to get the treatment done there. I paid the full amount they were asking to pay after the treatment. After about a year passed and I never heard from them meanwhile, I had a small dental problem and I chose to go to their dentistry again. While I was in the dental chair, a staff member approached me with a paper and stated that I am due for $480 from the dental service which was done in the past. I was shocked and saddened! I stated that I already made the payment of my portion right after the treatment was done and that I will sue them. they told me that when I first visited their office, they gave me a paper to sign and at the bottom, in small font it states that "I agree to pay any discrepancy if the insurance company does not pay their portion fully". I was threatened that they will send the bill to collections, which will affect my credit record. They ended up sending the bill they were charging me to collections agency even though I was disputing the bill. I made the payment to the collection agency, but I am planning to sue them. Over the course of these events, the staff and the owner/manager were very rude to me, zero customer service/customer satisfaction mentality!!! Beware when you go to their office and they ask you to sign a paper, make sure there is no note that states that you agree to pay the portion of the payment in case if the insurance company does not pay their portion fully!!! read more
