worst massage in town. no lie at least for my experience. i brought my girlfriend here for a couple massage for her birthday. 90 minute couples massage. first five minutes was mild at best. we had to ask them to massage with a little bit more effort. shortly after it was pure sharp elbows, digging into our backs from the weight of their bodies, which overhang above. they use gravity and their elbows in an effort to avoid actually expanding effort or using their muscles at all. i don't know about you, but that's not a massage to me. shortly after i looked over to my side to notice that the man that was massaging, my girlfriend was sitting down on the bed lightly massaging her upper back with no more than a few fingers contact. there was no effort or work there. just sitting lounging doing the absolute minimum contact possible. this was almost the same for me however, my masseuse, also using only one hand, would pause for many seconds at a time before exerting some pressure then again another break of many seconds before pressure again. she was systematically conserving energy and then applying the minimum level of pressure from one hand only. after a couple warnings, she finally started to get that. i am not gonna leave us alone and she started massaging more correctly. then excuse the man who was pretending to massage my girlfriend and replaced him with a woman that was massaging me. then they sent one man to massage me who was lazy and barely doing anything so let him go when they sent him them yet. another one who is doing the same thing. at about 45 minutes i finally told him to leave me alone and just continue with my girlfriend. i don't know how it's possible that others aren't reporting this more often, but i cannot speak on what i do not know but what i do know is if you are sore, tired, and just looking for some muscle, relief and relaxation and you expect some discernible level of quality and effort than do not come here. these people do not care at all about giving you a good experience and i gave them multiple chances they are lazy and do not care about their customers at least not for my girlfriend and i if you doubt me at all, please read my other reviews. i'm very honest in my reviews and i take great care to be fair. and i write these to help others. it certainly doesn't provide me any benefit other than that. thank you for reading and feel free to contact me if you'd like more information read more

Did you know there was a Korean spa in Pasadena?? I didn't know! So when my fiancé told me he booked us plus his dad a 2 hour spa in Pasadena I was pleasantly surprised that there was more to this than just a massage! Located on a main street with parking in the back - not much spaces and you have to be careful where you park because other spots are for other businesses. But once we found our spot, we went in and from the outside it looked small, narrow, and tall. But once we walked in it looked so different than it did from the outside! It was nice and dimly lit. There's a waiting room in the lobby as you wait your turn, cause get this - it's a PRIVATE session with us you and your party! They book sessions where you pretty much have this whole section to yourself without sharing with strangers. They let me in the dressing room first as two other women were still wrapping up their session. So my fiancé and his dad waited in the lobby until they were ready to let them in. They led me into the changing room that has a bunch of lockers, big mirrors, hair dryers, and bags for your wet swim suits to put in after! There's also 1 connecting bathroom to the changing room. Once I changed they led into the back room where the hot tub, cold plunge, and steam room was located. WOW. It looked so nice! Plus I was the only one there so I got to enjoy it by myself for a good couple of minutes! They told me that the other 2 ladies were wrapping up and once they left my fiancé and his dad could join me. They told me where to rinse off and let me just enjoy myself, and it was nice. The hot tub was nice and bubbly and the cold plunge was a nice escape from the heat. The steam room was nice but I couldn't last in there for too long. Our appointment time was 2pm but my fiancé and his dad couldn't get in till 2:10 and due to the 2 ladies that asked for a little more time to do a cold plunge and they let them rather than telling them that there was another party waiting. Once they finally left my group was able to come in and enjoy but they didn't get to enjoy these extra services long enough, maybe just 10 mins? Before we were told it was time for us to start our massages. They went to another room for a massage while I stayed in the wet room for my body scrub, I had to remove my swim suit so they can properly scrub me and UGH. They scrubbed me like they scrubbed away my sins! It felt so good and when they asked me to flip over I nearly slipped with how smooth I was! My masseuse/scrubber was an older women but she knew what she was doing! I had the body scrub, cucumber facial, body massage, and a hair wash/massage! It felt pretty worth it for me! After I was done they led me to the dry room to sit in the heated salt room and clay room. This was where I got to meet up with my group again and eh these rooms where just okay to me. You lay in there in a warm room with salt or clay balls around you. I got to chat with my fiancé and it seemed that there session was okay and he was quite jealous of what I got and wished he chose that too. After we were in the dry rooms for a bit we went back down to soak some more but they cut us out right on the dot at 4 and it was a bit of a bummer because my fiancé and his dad had much shorter times because of the 2 ladies before us. For me, my session was great but had to knock a star because my fiancé and his dad didn't have that great of a session and had their time cut short but still enjoyed it. My friends came to visit for the weekend, and on Saturday we wanted to do something relaxing. We found V Spa in Pasadena and called to see if they could take us--luckily they had availability at 7 PM. The package was $139 per person for a two-hour session, which included the main reason we came--the Korean body scrub--plus a massage and hair washing. The best part? You get the entire facility to yourself (just your group), which makes it feel much more private compared to the busier spas in Koreatown. The storefront is pretty small, but parking was easy. When you walk in, they have you pay and tip upfront. The facilities aren't as expansive as Ktown spots, but they do have the essentials: one steam room, a hot tub/jacuzzi, a cold plunge pool, and two dry saunas upstairs once you're done with your services. The body scrub was exactly what I needed--thorough and refreshing. The massage was just okay (though to be fair, I've never been wowed by spa massages in general). The overall experience felt more intimate and low-key, which I think makes this spot especially cute for couples or small groups of friends. For me, the biggest plus is convenience--it's much closer than Ktown, and while it's smaller, the private experience makes up for it. If I could give 10 stars I absolutely would!! Me and 2 girlfriends went there to experience the full body scrub. We'd never been to a Korean spa so we weren't sure what to expect. From the moment we walked in, they were ready for us. They were warm and welcoming and ushered us into the shower/wet room area where we enjoyed the jacuzzi, cold splash area, and sauna. Then it was time for our scrub where they literally scrub every inch of every piece of skin from head to toe. And they rinse you by splashing big buckets of warm water all over your body. It almost feels like warm ocean waves crashing over your body. They also put a cold cucumber mask on your face that is so invigorating to your skin. It's the most relaxing and satisfying experience I've ever had. After we were finished with our scrub, we retreated to the Himalayan salt room and relaxed for 30 mins. When we were done, my skin felt renewed and rejuvenated. As soft as baby skin. The only thing that could've topped it off is a place to chill afterward with some light refreshments and maybe some recliners. We decided that we are definitely coming back again. This place is perfect because I personally don't like the idea of being around a lot of people, especially in a Korean spa setting in which you are required to be naked. Tried V Spa for the first time and it was a nice relaxing time. The spa is reservation only and I can see why. It's a more private experience compared to other Korean spas. I'm not sure what the maximum group of people allowed here at a time is, but when I came, there was a group of 8 girls that just finished. A heads up, it's a shared space between your party, so make sure you're comfortable being in the nude around them. They have said swimsuits are allowed, but the body scrubbing service is best done without a suit on. You're allotted 2 hours, depending on the package/option chosen when making your reservation. Technically it's about 1/1ish hours to use the amenities such as the jacuzzi, steam room, and sauna rooms since the other ~ 45 mins to 1 hour is on a service such as body scrubbing, massage, etc. They have a shower area, 1 jacuzzi, 1 steam room, 1 cold? tub, and 2 sauna rooms - 1 salt & 1 red? rock room. I did the body scrubbing service and it was much needed. Started with a shower to rinse off, soaked in the jacuzzi for 10-15 minutes, then spent 5-10 minutes in the steam room, got the body scrubbing service which included a head scrub/massage and a little bit of a body massage, then enjoyed the salt rooms for about 20 minutes. read more

My 1st K Spa experience and we couldn't have asked for a better one! The best part...they book in 2-3hr blocks of time, so you have the whole space to you and your party for that time which is ideal! You came laugh, talk, and have a blast together as you get your treatments. You start with a rinse/shower and hit the spa to start the relaxation. Then sit in the sauna in prep for the best body scrub of your life. You can choose nakedness, topless or bathing suit, whatever makes you comfy!!! They dry brush you from head to toe, every crevice, every crack, every fold. They then exfoliate with a delicious scrub that smells of roses. They end with warm oil massage and a scalp wash with a cucumber face mask. After our body scrub, we added a facial which was the cherry on top. At the end of it all we hung out in the Himalayan salt room and a clay ball room to detox and finish the day. Lucy, our facialist....top notch and so sweet!!!! Our body scrub ladies put in work and took such great care of us! A perfect girls day! They let us bring a small charcut tray and couple bottles of champs, provided us cups and made sure we had our cups full!!! And for the price..an unbelievable experience. My darling friend treated me to a pamper day because she knows I burn the candles on both ends and don't take time for myself. I've never been to a Korean spa before, but she told me to bring a bikini for the hot tub. I was surprised to see that this place is across the street from my postal box. I had no idea It was here. We arrived 5 minutes early and the lady greeted us and took us back to the locker room. She handed us a robe and towels and gave us a run down. After we changed, we showered off before getting into the hot tub. The temperature was perfect. We relaxed and talked. All that was missing was some champagne. After that we went into the sauna for a bit and then it was time for our body scrub. I've never had a full body scrub before. It was a bit intense, but my gal was gentle as well. She also gave me a facial with a cucumber mask and a scalp massage with hair wash. When she was done, she instructed me to rinse off in the shower and come back for a massage. The massage was very relaxing. When it was over we went upstairs to spend some time in the Himalayan Salt Room & Detox Room. Both rooms were serene, and I felt at peace. The facility was exceptionally clean. They even provide blow dryers and sanitized brushes for your hair. The experience lasted 2 hours and is a bargain for $139. We booked a couples package ahead of time. This place was such a great experience. This was our first Korean Day Spa visit and it was awesome. It's a private timed experience. You can park behind the building check in and pay / tip upfront. Then your masseurs will lead you to the locker room. They will provide you a pair of shower sandals, a robe and a towel. This is a nude experience so you do have to get striped down to your birthday suits but then put on your robe to go into the spa jacuzzi room. You will have to wash off before going into the jacuzzi. After your jacuzzi soak You can cover up with a towel and then go into the sauna. After your pores have been opened they will have you go to the wet massage tables. You will be covered by a towel on your private areas while they work their magic. Once this is done you will go back into the sauna then you can go upstairs to the Salt room or the Clay room at your own pace for the remaining time left on your 2hr experience. However, I have tried several other Korean spas in the LA area where the prices are inclusive and the service is much more relaxing. Across the 4 different technicians that worked on my party, the consensus was that they lacked in skill and thoughtful practice. This reflects on all of the body scrub, hair wash, and 'massage' at the end. Everyone in our party left the service feeling chapped DRY. There was an additional cost to be massage with coconut oil. The body milk offered at the end of the scrub was used like a rationed supply. I felt like elote that only got a couple drops of butter. If you can get by in shared spaces, there are several other Korean spas that bring better value and relaxation. Pass on this place. I regret the tip I left for the services. I've been to other Korean jimjilbangs before - one Hugh Spa in korean town and the offered additionally more like an infrared room, ice room, dry sauna. this V Spa was just lacking "the love in the details" in the lockroom, their vanity counter is so minimal and narrow. only a couple of stools, the amenties just didnt' feel "spa like". the Womens locker room was steps away from the front desk so you just hear the male receptionist coughing or blowing his nose...he sounded too close to feel the "serenity" Tho they are very friendly and the Korean Body scrub is just like it was... but once you leave the wet room to up upstairs to the clay and salt room, you feel like weird to go back and enjoy the "spa" and steam room. I'd say, this place was like a Happy Feet that wanted to try their shot of a jimjilbang - it would be better if they added more rooms/experiences. the space there is limited. privacy ok. amenities - lacking. for an extra $10 - i'm going to try spa hyu next time in LA. read more

The locker room area is a small room with about 20 lockers- and it is coed, so the staff has to make men wait outside while women change. The jacuzzi is an above ground jacuzzi and you have to walk up some wooden stairs to get in. It is in the same area as the co-ed showers. I did a couples treatment with my boyfriend, but I can't imagine being in this place with some other naked men I don't even know. The body scrub was nice, but again, in the same vicinity as the jacuzzi with a screen dividing it. After the body scrub we have to walk upstairs to a location for the massage. That part was very good. I will not go there again or recommend to anyone because of the locker room and common areas for both sexes to have their treatments. read more

I cannot express enough how much I love this place. I need this place to stay open forever!!! Went with bestie to try out a Korean spa and we got so spoiled, I dont think I can go to another place. The price for what you get is so good. You get the space to yourself when there so please make an appt. When you get there, you can put your things into a cute locker where you can set your own combination. In this room there is some water (stay hydrated), chill music, a mirror and some things you might need. Hair ties/qtips/ hair dryer/sanitary supplies etc, so lovely of them to have thought of all that for guests. You put your clothes there use your robes to go into the next space where you are we were mostly nude(unless u have vathing suits) so go with friends youre comfy around. There are showers to the left before you sue the jacuzzi and/or cold bath. This day was hot, So a cold bath was so nice. VERY COLD! but once u get used to it its great. We spent our time going to each bath and a bit of time in the sauna. The sauna is small but whew do you feel that in your lungs! The massage and facial they do for you is in this room. If you are nude, you are mostly naked save for a small towel that they lay flat and vertically on you. You and your party are in the same area but youre more focused on the scrubbing/massage and facial/hair wash. The funnest part of this was smelling cucumber. When i tell you that is freshly sliced ‍. Afterwards , if you get any add ons like massages or facials that happen my friend got taken to a diferent area and i was able to go to the other rooms until our time was up. The main thing I wanted to do was the Himalayan salt room and the clay rooms. It was so cozy and warm. Tell me why I almost fell asleep?!?!?! I had to fight the urge. The time goes by so fast, my friend and I are excited to go back. My skin was glowing after. For us, it definitely was a comfortable experience for our first time. Went here yesterday with my husband. It was an experience and would do it again. Cost is $139/person for two hours. My husband and I were the only ones in there because those precious two hours are ours and the two ladies who later worked on us. 1. You pay first. Preferably cash. 2. Locker room, disrobe, put things in the locker, given a towel and slippers. 3. Given instructions to shower, jacuzzi, and steam sauna. After that the ladies told us to lay down for body scrub on our stomach. 4. Loofah scrub was SOOO satisfying. Pour warm water on you then turn over on your back followed by more scrubbing. Pour warm water. 5. Soap-did shampoo/soaped all over your hair and body. Grated cuucumber on our face-cheeks, forhead and chin. None of the eyes. Then Warm water. 6. Told to get up and given a robe to go to the shower so we showered. 7. Back to the table for a dry massage. We were on our stomach. Towel on our back and given a "massage" NO OIL. Just some what of a massage. Dry massage...I guess. I do wished the ladies would stop talking though. They were kind of a chatter box. I wanted it to be a quiet experience. 8. After 15 mins or so of dry massage, we were able to go upstairs experience laying down in the salt room. I didn't like the hard neck hold so I used by robe as a pillow. Then a few minutes to the clay room. 9. Went back downstairs and poured cold water to just close your pores. It's not a tub. That would be unsanitary, Folks. That's why there is a water scoop on the edge of the cold water tub so you can pour it on you after the dry saunas. Followed by a shower. 10. Dressed up and left the place. I was informed that V Spa and Happy Feet/Massage, which is two doors down, are the same owner. Eventually they plan on moving Happy Feet/Massage to V Spa. Great experience. read more

I chose this spa because I didn't want to drive to Koreatown and hoped I would find a good Korean spa closer to home - this isn't it. Having an entire spa all to yourself for two hours sounds good but many things were off. The body scrub wasn't thorough and the soap dried my skin. At one point the water poured on me was scalding hot. During the mini facial my skin began to feel a burning sensation. It was some kind of face wash and then freshly grated cucumbers - I had to get up and wash it off. The massage was bad. At most Korean spas they dry your body off before using oil to massage you. I was half covered with oil and still laying in a puddle of water. It was uncomfortable and it wasn't a full body massage. There's one hot pool, one cold pool, and a steam room downstairs. The floors were kinda dirty, you have to wear slippers. The upstairs clay room and salt room weren't fully heated. The towels and robes provided - thin, rough, and worn. The experience was not worth the price or time. I'm just glad my face is ok, I was worried. I regret not making the trek to Olympic Spa where the facilities, treatments and products are all excellent and really leave you feeling like you've spent a day at the spa. read more

Really wanted to like this place because there aren't any other co-ed Korean spas in the area, but our experience here was a big letdown. The facilities seemed clean enough but kind of old/dingy. Upon getting there, they instructed us to shower then get into the jacuzzi, which was maybe 70 degrees.. it was so cold and seemed like they had just turned it on 10 min before we arrived. After about 5 minutes, they had us go into the steam room which was somehow even colder. After a few minutes I let them know that the steam room was cold and they had us come out to get our massage/scrub. Again, I really wanted to like this place but the scrub was so uncomfortable. Typically the jacuzzi/steam room helps prepare you for the exfoliating scrub, but because it was so cold it felt like they were just scratching my skin. The massage was okay but again, nothing really that special. After an hour, the scrub and massage were done and they told us to go back into the steam room and sauna. We still had another hour left but decided to just leave early. Giving two stars because the woman who did my massage and scrub was kind but overall wouldn't return here. read more

I have been going to Korean spas for many years. It was my birthday week and I wanted to treat myself to my first jimjilbang experience since 2019 (pre-pandemic times) You can imagine how excited I was to get 5 years of dead skin scrubbed off! lol This place is unique as it is by reservation only, and I admit it was quite strange to be the only person in the room. I kept looking around expecting someone to suddenly show up even though the masseur reassured me there was nobody else there. I enjoyed the much-needed scrub, hair wash, facial and massage. Everything felt more 'gently-done' than what I usually experience at rushed, crowded spas. The sauna was super steamy, and the the salt and clay rooms upstairs (yes yes, go through the door that says "Employees Only") were nice. I will come again next time and bring a friend. read more

Great place to have a scrub in private. You book the two hour time slot to have a private scrub experience, where you and your party are allowed to soak in the hot tub, cold tub before the scrub. The scrub was what you would expect, it's like a large room with tables where older asian ladies scrub you down with a rough sponge and hot water. I liked how it included a short shoulder and head massage and lasted an hour. Other places may be more affordable but the scrubs are only 30 mins and does not include any type of massage. Be aware that you are completely naked for the scrub so if you are shy at all you should change last or first or whatever makes you more comfortable! I would have liked a little more instruction though, I didn't realized until after that there we additional salt rooms to go after the scrub. Really wish they gave us a better tour of the amenities next time. read more

I went here for the first time and enjoyed my experience. I really love that you have the whole place to yourself. I booked the V Spa experience and really liked it! They used quality products and had my skin glowing and smooth for days after! I also liked that there is calming music playing during your treatment. If you're looking for a spa experience that doesn't break the back, this is a great option. read more
