Found this place for a pedi because I needed somewhere in the village, found pretty good reviews here, and only go to places that post their prices. Bonus, they let me make my reservation through an online booking page. Pedi was basic, efficient, and no frills. I didn't ask for frills, so this was fine. Salon wasn't too busy, so I was able to relax and zone out a little. Pedi itself took only 30 minutes (and then I spent 15 minutes drying), so it certainly could have been rushed but honestly it looks very good and I've had longer pedis elsewhere that look like crap elsewhere, so I'm not going to punish them for efficiency. Will likely return because the online booking clinches the deal. read more

Horrible place. Had an appointment for gel pedicure with French tip. Lady doing my nails saw a walk in come and so she started rushing me and my time so she can get to the walk in. My (gel) pedicure was done in 30 minutes. The way she was removing my old gel was absolutely horrible and not a way I've had done before - I've gone to tons of different salons and she was literally scraping it off with a metal tool. The tools weren't even clean, they were in a plastic tray- I didn't see her take them out of the wrap that shows they were disinfected. When she was painting my toes her hands kept touching my other wet polish. I didn't even want to continue with getting my French tip design, not only was it an additional fee, but from how she was working, I didn't trust her to do a proper French tip design. Unfortunately, I did not have a great experience. Last Friday I visited based on a friend's recommendation, but was disappointed with the service. During my pedicure, the technician was extremely rough, and when I said, "Ouch, that hurts," she gave me a dirty look and continued. The interaction was uncomfortable and unprofessional. Made an appointment with 2 other friends for gel soak off and gel French manicures. I was surprised that they don't charge for the gel soak off! Everything came out to $54 pre-tip (you don't have to pay tax if you pay in cash which I did). I absolutely adore my nails. Sunny was my nail technician and she was fast but so attentive. I gave her a photo for reference (pro tip: update your screen to shut off after five minutes so the photo will stay on the screen for longer). I am so disappointed with my powder manicure. I got it done two weeks ago and already one of the nails has fully peeled off. When I first got them done, she rushed through it and it was so sloppy I left with powder on the UNDER SIDE OF MY NAILS. The powder was also insanely thick. Then within two days there were already chips and the powder was peeling away from my nails. Well where to start. In all fairness this review is made after giving the place a second chance. The first time around was just as bad as the second. The nail techs here are not experienced. They all rush through the service and offer a very poor work product. To begin, the prices seem fair (AT FIRST) however they seem to add little adjustments throughout the service to up those prices. $6 for a cracked nail? another $7 for a soak off (even though the soak off is supposed to be included in the gel mani service)? You end up paying as much as you would at another nail salon in the city but at-least there you'll walk out satisfied. I told my nail tech that multiple of my nails had bubbles in them and some were so uneven that it was immediately noticeable and she literally did nothing about it. I knew it was going to be bad when she didn't even buff my nails or cut my cuticles. Tell me how a gel mani took 20 mins when typically it takes at-least 40-45mins for a complete service. All in all, after giving this place a second run around, I will not be coming back. The price gouging along with the horrible service just doesn't justify spending your coin here. read more

Been here before but this was an incredibly disappointing experience. I scheduled an appointment online for 7:15p for gel extensions. When I arrived they weren't aware of the appointment. When I showed them my confirmation email they said I need to call if I want gel extensions because they don't check online bookings. I didn't know this rule but why offer the service online in the first place. It's misleading to the customer. They said there would be a brief wait and started to soak off my other set. I ended up sitting there for almost 2 hours! They should've just offered I come back another day. My time was wasted as I sat there soaking my nails which were already cut and filed. The service itself was rushed because it was past closing by the time she got to me. I've been growing my natural nails the past 4 months. But they were cut extremely short and filed thin :( My natural nails were longer than the extensions I left with. I also got cut pretty bad on my pinky. And some of the brush hairs are stuck to my nails. If you have to call to get a specific service then don't offer it on the website to be booked! The prices are also higher in person than online. Literally worst experience of my entire life do not go here. Not only did I have to wait 20 minutes just to be seated even though I called and they said I could come in immediately, but I've never had such a horrible mani pedi in my entire life. I asked for square, got some jagged round shape, completely uneven, horrible paint job, I thought these were professionals? A 2 year old could do better. My manicure had me literally holding back tears and she scraped my fingers the entire time, she thinned out my nails so much I have such healthy nice nails and she made them brittle and in so much pain. My cuticles and surrounding areas of my nails were bright red from how harsh she was being, I genuinely thought they were going to start gushing blood at any moment. Once again, asked for square, got some uneven horrible looking rounded nubs. Then she added some "gel hardener" which she said was $10 extra AFTER she already applied, and never even asked if I wanted it?? Why r u applying a $10 extra without even asking if I wanted it. Then, after the most painful nail experience I ever had in my entire life (I'm not even joking I was holding back tears the entire time, not only because my nails looked awful and in my 10 years of getting nails done every 2.5 weeks, I've never had worse looking nails) but also just SO PAINFUL, I was NICE ENOUGH to tip 10%. I'm sorry but for horrible looking nails and the most painful experience ever, 10% is generous. $10 tip on a $100 bill. I sign the receipt, write the 10% tip, and this lady has the audacity to give me the rudest look I've ever been given and in front of EVERYONE in the loudest voice, says "Only $10 dollars?" That's correct- a METROCARD that was used on the girl next to me 5 minutes before. She broke every single one of my nails that I've been growing for years and then tried to get me to pay for an acrylic tips removal. THEY WERE MY REAL NAILS SHE REMOVED! I made an appointment with them online for a gel color french manicure. I got there and had to wait for someone to free up for about 20 minutes. I feel like that's ok since a lot of salons have walk-ins and get busy. The lady started with filing my nails to give them shape. She did a great job at that because I really liked the shape of my nails but that's about all I liked. The process was painful and she used three different types of files. She didn't dip my hands in hot water or apply cuticle softener or clean my cuticles. She just sprayed some water to clear off the filing. Then she began the process of applying the color. I was confused because generally I get a soak and my cuticles cleaned. She said I didn't need them. She applied the top coat and I noticed she didn't have the UV lamps setup. I told her I wanted gel and she said this is the gel top coat and proceed to bring out the lamps. I thought she was planning on getting them out. Not a problem. She picked the pink for the nails and then applied the white. They looked amazing. However, I felt the work she did on me wasn't worth $58 and it was a painful experience. Two days later they began to peel off. I was surprised because almost all the time gel has stayed on my nails for at least 1.5 weeks. By the end of the day three of my nails had peeled and I noticed how thin the paint was. This was no way a gel manicure because gel coats are so think when they start peeling. It was a regular one or she did a completely bad job. To pay twice the prices and have it peeling off on day 2 is the worst manicure I've had. This feels like regular polish and not gel at all. I have posted pictures of day 5. This looks like something that should be 2 weeks not 5 days. I would not recommend this place and not come back. read more

I am pleased to say that this place was amazing and the nail techs knew what they were doing. I walk-in today to get my nails done and they told me to wait 30 min which I though it was ok since I didn't have an appointment; however after almost 40 min another client came (also without appointment) and he was taken care of immediately. Either way I decided to stay because the prices seemed fair and also because since I requested poly gel I assumed only one technician may know how to work with it. When I was finally seated on the technician spot she seemed to be in a rush; there was not such thing as nail prep, she took the nail drill and buff the surface of the nail, push and cut the cuticles dry and rapidly apply the product to glue the tips and started the poly gel. After she finished "sculpting" the nails and filed them to shape I told her that the thumb one was not in shape and she did it again while saying it was the way I was looking at it; before placing the color on the nails I told her the edges where not filed completely as they have some excess product, she responded that it was "the funny thing with this nails" and filed them again but still the nails it wasn't in spot. From afar they look "ok", but if you pay attention to them they look bulky and uneven. I can't not talk about a regular mani or pedi, but if you are looking to get some artificial nails this might not be the place read more

Waited an hour after making an appointment for gel x nails with a design which seems to be a common experience here. It was later revealed to me (after I was first ignored by the techs when I started asking questions) they allowed someone to cut in front of me because they were getting married, and just expected me to wait an hour for that without communicating to me what was happening. When you walk in, it's a problem, when you make an appointment it's a problem. At first they tried to blame me for their clear mistake and later apologized once I decided I would leave without the $100+ dollar mani and were desperate for me to get it an hour later (so they do understand how much it is). Avoid at all costs. I booked a powder manicure and a regular pedicure. During the pedicure, the woman doing my nails had me soak off the powder manicure I had received at a different salon. The polish remover was so strong that it broke almost all of my long, natural nails. She also gave and charged me for a 10 minute leg massage that I never agreed to. I decided to skip the powder manicure and get a regular one since the pedicure was so bad. The manicure was done terribly. All of my nails are different lengths and shapes. The polish application was done unevenly and is extremely sloppy. I have been to many salons in NYC and I think this may have been my worst experience yet. Really a shame because I used to go to this place all the time but I will never be back. This was the most rushed manicure of my life. I went in for a hard gel fill and she did not even touch my cuticles. When I left my hands were still covered in polish. She also cut my skin while filing. Had to ask for an extra coat of polish to hide the very obvious line seen from the fill. Very obvious hair left on my nail that I didn't notice until after. I was charged $60 for a fill, an extra $20 for the French gel on top, and another $20 for a "design". While this is very expensive, I would be happy to pay it if the service was at least good.
