    Gel Nails

I enjoyed my gel manicure at Elegant Nails and Spa. It was quick and to-the-point, and reasonably priced. The quality of the manicure is most important to me, and they did a great job. I will be back

I am so disappointed with my powder manicure. I got it done two weeks ago and already one of the nails has fully peeled off. When I first got them done, she rushed through it and it was so sloppy I left with powder on the UNDER SIDE OF MY NAILS. The powder was also insanely thick. Then within two days there were already chips and the powder was peeling away from my nails. I went back to have them fix it and all they did was file my nail down and confirmed they would not pop off. I will not be coming back and do not recommend anyone try this place out. Also it was dirty inside.

I heard about this place through TikTok, the prices are fair and you can tell the ladies there are working hard to get all their customers the best service. I booked my appointment for acrylic over the phone and when I got there, Michelle offered me GelX. I've never done this but she said it's new and they don't lift. WELL WORTH THE MONEY and I'm happy with my choice! they have not lifted at all and have lasted vacation at the beach salt water and pool water! I will be coming back soon UPDATE!!! Just wanted to show you my nails after filling in same tech Michele, she is so lovely and delivers!

Been here before but this was an incredibly disappointing experience. I scheduled an appointment online for 7:15p for gel extensions. When I arrived they weren't aware of the appointment. When I showed them my confirmation email they said I need to call if I want gel extensions because they don't check online bookings. I didn't know this rule but why offer the service online in the first place. It's misleading to the customer. They said there would be a brief wait and started to soak off my other set. I ended up sitting there for almost 2 hours! They should've just offered I come back another day. My time was wasted as I sat there soaking my nails which were already cut and filed. The service itself was rushed because it was past closing by the time she got to me. I've been growing my natural nails the past 4 months. But they were cut extremely short and filed thin :( My natural nails were longer than the extensions I left with. I also got cut pretty bad on my pinky. And some of the brush hairs are stuck to my nails. If you have to call to get a specific service then don't offer it on the website to be booked! The prices are also higher in person than online. I'm not happy with how my nails came out.

Well where to start. In all fairness this review is made after giving the place a second chance. The first time around was just as bad as the second. The nail techs here are not experienced. They all rush through the service and offer a very poor work product. To begin, the prices seem fair (AT FIRST) however they seem to add little adjustments throughout the service to up those prices. $6 for a cracked nail? another $7 for a soak off (even though the soak off is supposed to be included in the gel mani service)? You end up paying as much as you would at another nail salon in the city but at-least there you'll walk out satisfied. I told my nail tech that multiple of my nails had bubbles in them and some were so uneven that it was immediately noticeable and she literally did nothing about it. I knew it was going to be bad when she didn't even buff my nails or cut my cuticles. Tell me how a gel mani took 20 mins when typically it takes at-least 40-45mins for a complete service. All in all, after giving this place a second run around, I will not be coming back. The price gouging along with the horrible service just doesn't justify spending your coin here.

Made an appointment with 2 other friends for gel soak off and gel French manicures. I was surprised that they don't charge for the gel soak off! Everything came out to $54 pre-tip (you don't have to pay tax if you pay in cash which I did). I absolutely adore my nails. Sunny was my nail technician and she was fast but so attentive. I gave her a photo for reference (pro tip: update your screen to shut off after five minutes so the photo will stay on the screen for longer). She matched it exactly and made my nails look so nice and long! Would totally recommend her.

Had such a good experience. They took me in as soon as i walked in (i didn't have an appointment). Michelle took care of me and did EXACTLY what i asked for. Everyone was really nice. I will definitely be coming back.

Simple Gel Manicure. $38 for manicure if you pay cash and $10 for gel hardener.

Found this place on TikTok...I am in the area often and had never noticed it! I was due for a manicure and decided to try it today. Walked in and was immediately taken. Asked for a gel manicure. They did a phenomenal job. They took their time...were patient when I changed my mind regarding color and the place was clean. I will definitely return. My technician was Anne but I could clearly see all of the staff was equally talented and courteous to their clients. TikTok did good!!!!

What they lack in new technology and updated interior, they make up for it in friendliness. Leo did a beautiful gel mani. I asked for bubble bath and he recommended another color: Let's Be Friends by Hello Kitty which is MY favorite nail color since like 2012. Thank you Leo!

I made an appointment with them online for a gel color french manicure. I got there and had to wait for someone to free up for about 20 minutes. I feel like that's ok since a lot of salons have walk-ins and get busy. The lady started with filing my nails to give them shape. She did a great job at that because I really liked the shape of my nails but that's about all I liked. The process was painful and she used three different types of files. She didn't dip my hands in hot water or apply cuticle softener or clean my cuticles. She just sprayed some water to clear off the filing. Then she began the process of applying the color. I was confused because generally I get a soak and my cuticles cleaned. She said I didn't need them. She applied the top coat and I noticed she didn't have the UV lamps setup. I told her I wanted gel and she said this is the gel top coat and proceed to bring out the lamps. I thought she was planning on getting them out. Not a problem. She picked the pink for the nails and then applied the white. They looked amazing. However, I felt the work she did on me wasn't worth $58 and it was a painful experience. Two days later they began to peel off. I was surprised because almost all the time gel has stayed on my nails for at least 1.5 weeks. By the end of the day three of my nails had peeled and I noticed how thin the paint was. This was no way a gel manicure because gel coats are so think when they start peeling. It was a regular one or she did a completely bad job. To pay twice the prices and have it peeling off on day 2 is the worst manicure I've had. This feels like regular polish and not gel at all. I have posted pictures of day 5. This looks like something that should be 2 weeks not 5 days. I would not recommend this place and not come back.

I had gotten my nails done outside the city and they looked god awful so I was trying to find a place that knew how to shape and apply gel without it looking bulky. I am pleased to say that this place was amazing and the nail techs knew what they were doing. I walked in and showed them my nails and we all laughed about it and the nail tech took me only 10 minutes later. She only took 30 minutes to fix them and they look amazing!! I'm in love and will definitely be coming back! (Also got a free critical oil )

I walk-in today to get my nails done and they told me to wait 30 min which I though it was ok since I didn't have an appointment; however after almost 40 min another client came (also without appointment) and he was taken care of immediately. Either way I decided to stay because the prices seemed fair and also because since I requested poly gel I assumed only one technician may know how to work with it. When I was finally seated on the technician spot she seemed to be in a rush; there was not such thing as nail prep, she took the nail drill and buff the surface of the nail, push and cut the cuticles dry and rapidly apply the product to glue the tips and started the poly gel. After she finished "sculpting" the nails and filed them to shape I told her that the thumb one was not in shape and she did it again while saying it was the way I was looking at it; before placing the color on the nails I told her the edges where not filed completely as they have some excess product, she responded that it was "the funny thing with this nails" and filed them again but still the nails it wasn't in spot. From afar they look "ok", but if you pay attention to them they look bulky and uneven. I can't not talk about a regular mani or pedi, but if you are looking to get some artificial nails this might not be the place

She set me up with some calming tea and brought me to a private changing area with a locker for my belongings. Everyone in the vicinity checked in to make sure I was doing ok. I was worried that because I had arrived late, I would eat up some of my massage time. No siree! They moved my massage to start when I was ready to begin. I booked the 90 minute Nuansa classic massage. You know how some places start the clock before you've sat down and finish the massage early (aka you pay for an hour and it's only about 45 minutes)? Well! That's not the case here! I got all 90 minutes of my massage. The massage itself: not to be believed. Lukkana started by saying "time to relax". And boy did I. Let me tell you one thing about me - I have the most ticklish legs of anyone I've ever met. Usually, when I have my legs massaged, I kick a hole in the wall and the masseuse files for a lawsuit (this is an exaggeration). Well! Somehow, Lukkana was able to work the muscles in my leg without triggering my dainty ticklish reflexes. I was astonished! Then, you know how sometimes you ask for a firm touch and you get jelly hands? Or the other way around and you're walking out with bruises? WELL - Lukkana made me feel immensely relaxed WHILE ALSO really working the tissue. What a novelty. She finished up with a scalp massage, which is truly the way to my heart. 11 out of 10. Would recommend. Thank you so much for making my day.

We intentionally planned so that this will be last so that we can take the day to relax and rest our body to go back home to our daily lives after busy day in NYC. We did some research and made sure to come on weekday earlier in the morning so that it's not too congested. We got there at 10:00am on Monday morning as which was perfect time. They have valet parking but it cost additional money so we just used their free parking lot which is located a block away from the main building on the same side. Once we got there we checked in and were guided through with instruction on what to expect and rules. Once you check in your bag gets checked. Be aware that you cannot bring any outside food or drink. You can bring empty water bottle/container which is highly recommended. After the bag check you take your shoes off and drop them off at the shoe locker which is guided by the staff. After that you enter the inner zone. It's recommended to start at floor 4 so that you can go to the main locker to drop off your other luggage and change into swimwear if not already. It's also recommended to take a quick shower before going into the pools and baths which you may want to do once you go to the bathroom. Once you are settled you can put your robe and go on your way to the amenities. We started our experience on the 4th floor at the outdoor bath. Started on foot bath with stones, silk bath, carbon bath, and hinoki bath which were nice and relaxing. We then went to Dry sauna and ganbanyoku which is hot stone sauna. Hot stone sauce had few different type of stone you can lay on so we decided to try all of them. Once we were done we went into the cold bath with waterfall to cool ourselves and went to try the bath with water jets/hydrotherapy. There were few different types that target your back, neck, foot, ...etc. we basically tried them all. They feel pretty nice and some are pretty strong almost like S massage. Once we were done with 4th floor we registered for volcanic sand bath which is an extra charge $20 experience per person. We scheduled a time and went up to 6th floor for our session. Once they are ready they go over some information and precautions and get you changed to yukata. They do recommend to go naked under for full experience and i do recommend it as well. Once you are ready the staff will take you to a spot and have you lay down and start to cover you in volcanic sand from Japan. Once you are covered you lay there and enjoy the experience. It's like you are laying in the sand at the beach that are hot and heavy. Its feels very nice and relaxing. They will leave you about 10 minutes and will give you some cold towel on your head which feels great. You will start to feel some sweat dripping from your body and your face. Once it's about 15minutes the staff will come and direct you to get up and give you some water to hydrate. They will make sure you feel ok before directing you to go to the shower to wash yourself up before changing back to your Swimsuit. It's a good idea to go full naked under because sand will get under everywhere and you can clean them off during the shower. Once you are cleaned up we took a quick break and had lunch at the food court which is directly next to the volcanic sand bath on 6th floor. We got bulgogi with rice and fries to share which was ok. Bit expensive but to be expected with facility of this kind. Once we were done eating we went down to 5th floor to enjoy the saunas. We tried pretty much all of the saunas including salt, charcoal, red brick, infrared, stone, and clay. We took a quick break in ice room and once we finished the sauna we took a quick break at the relaxation area and lay down for a bit. Once we were relaxed we went up to the 7th floor and enjoyed the infinity pool. You can see the skyline of NYC across the hudson river. Took some photos of the gorgeous view. We lay down for a bit to relax and went back down to finish the day with foot bath as we were cold coming out of the pool. We went back to the 4th floor to change and check out. Got our shoes and walked back to the parking lot yo head out. Overall i liked the experience that was offered at sojo spa club. I can see that our experience may have been different if it was on weekends and or if the weather was not good but we planned well and was also lucky with the weather so we were able to enjoy the facility to its full extent and i liked it. Service was good and a lot of the process was stream lined so that our time waiting was minimized. Would come back again.

Fifteen minutes into our 90-minute couples deep tissue massage, I saw my husband's therapist, Lydia, typing on a lit smartphone while leaning over him. My husband repeatedly asked her to focus on his neck and shoulders and avoid his feet. His requests were ignored. The technique was lazy and mechanical - repetitive forearm circling with little to no pressure, despite requesting deep tissue. He left feeling like he didn't receive a massage at all. When we raised the issue, the owner acknowledged the behavior was "unacceptable" yet offered only a 25% discount - as if actively texting during a massage, ignoring repeated client requests, and delivering a substandard service were minor inconveniences. This wasn't just a bad massage. It was a complete lack of professionalism and accountability. We will not be returning.

I love the Russian spa experience because of the cleanliness but I could never find a Korean spa…read morethat was as clean as the Russian spas that I have visited. Now I have found one. New York spa is immaculately clean and the amenities are off the charts. I have gone back again and again and will continue to go. Great place.

It was cool. I wasn't sure what to expect z I came because I wanted a Korean spa experience…read moreespecially a body scrub. The front door explain the entrance fee but when I asked questions about the other services the woman was a little abrupt and rude. I mean whatever I asked she mentioned the fee. I told her I know and I guess she wanted that fee before I realize the massage is really bodywork. I told her it is my first time here. I wanted to leave but stayed because i traveled so far and I wasn't in the mood to find somewhere else. It was my birthday. Anyhow I pay get my uniform go to lockers. I noticed the sign and picture of two thieves and others about lost towel and key fees. Anyway the locker room plays Korean drama and attendants are the ones who sell the other services. I lounged around in the coed area and then tried every steam and sauna for 20 minutes. I walked around in my socks. It was pretty quiet and peaceful . It wasn't full of people either. I go to the front desk to ask if there are slides or slippers. My feet got really hot in the sauna I was wearing socks . One must either be in socks or barefoot. I asked him about the additional services and he said the women in the locker rooms do those. The woman in the locker room are the "masseuse " or "esthetician" in a sense. Before entering the wet room (one removes their spa uniform showers ) before using the jacuzzi steam room and cold plunge. Ok so I decided to get the Korean body scrub and massage. The body scrub was better than the massage. I braced myself each time I was rinsed with water. A basin of water gets thrown on you. The massage included a facial and I appreciate her massaging my stomach where I tend to get fibroids. The facial left my skin glowing . Overall i probably won't go back but i feel encouraged to check out higher end spas and treat myself more. I think these spas are good for sauna unless your gym has one. It was an ok value. You get what you pay for. The skin care is cucumber based.
