Came in as a walk-in for a gel pedicure. The posted price list shows $52 for the gel pedicure, but there's no price listed anywhere for gel removal -- not on the price list, the website, Google, or Yelp. I wasn't told about a removal fee before or during the service. At checkout, I offered $20 in cash and was told the removal fee was actually $50. I called afterward to confirm the removal price and was told $15(one, five) over the phone, which doesn't match what I was actually charged. No receipt was given either. Given that the price jumped from $20 to $50 the moment I offered less, and dropped back to $15 on the phone, this felt like a deliberate bait-and-switch, not a mistake. Nice service overall, but I'd recommend asking for all costs upfront before you sit down. read more

I would give ZERO stars if I could. This was the absolute worst nail experience I've had in my life and I've gotten my nails done consistently for years. First of all, Trish soaked my dip nails in acetone for over 45 minutes, leaving them in a tremendous amount of pain. When she actually did do my nails, she cut my cuticles until they bled and every nail came out crooked. I came back to tell her I was beyond unsatisfied with my nail shape and she proceeded to tell me that I said it was okay the night before. She took no accountability and was extremely rude. Overall TERRIBLE service and TERRIBLE nail technique. I got charged $70 for the absolute worst possible manicure. Save your money and your nails and go somewhere else. read more

Ugh. I want to leave a 5 star review for how kind the staff was, but unfortunately I cannot give my experience a 5. My finger started bleeding unfortunately because she wasn't paying attention and being very rough. I was basically the only customer. Then my nails came out super thick (I got gel x), and when I asked if she could shape them more, she sort of snapped at me and said she was doing it. The nails are such a weird shape and are lifting off my nail bed. It felt like she didn't want to take the time to get them nice. I was also confused since I came in for a fill but paid the price of a new set ($100 including tip). I felt just sick spending that much. Also, I was there for 2 hours...for a gel x fill. I've never experienced that in my life. The staff were so kind, so that was a plus. It just felt like, even though I was the only one there, I wasn't a priority. I'm not sure if that's the average experience elsewhere, but I have been getting gel for years and it's always been an hour or under. And not for 85$. read more

She introduced me to the hybrid/builder gel TAP brand to achieve a jelly-like look. It cost more but it will last longer and the results are beautiful.Triss was so attentive to detail, filing and shaping, and turning my hands every which way to make sure she was filing even and ensuring the gel wasn't too thick. I really appreciated how Elegant Nails had all the proper barriers between the technicians, you, and other clients. They have you wash your hands as soon as you walked in and they keep the door open to increase air flow in the salon. I felt so at-ease with all these precautions. I got a pedicure and matte dip nails. I'm obsessed. They look perfect! I always try to achieve this look with just a matte top coat and it never lasts. Triss and Ted have become like my own relatives. Their level of hustle is next level, and the way they treat each other and their loyal employees is commendable. I say this as it's what has me driving over a half hour each way to their sanctuary of a salon. Sitting there for a couple hours every month has led me to several observations: 1) money and class are not necessarily related (talking to some of the Marina types but not all - during the height of the pandemic please do not ruin the experience for others with a phone conversation with your crappy boss while your mask is down) 2) time is important. If you are a picky person and want something extraordinary (like nail art), come during the morning or early afternoon on a M-Th weekday. It's much quieter and pleasant. 3) empathy is sorely missing. The Tran family have invested in a beautiful new salon. Their prices are competitive and fair. If you can, please bring cash so they don't have to pay horrible fees to the credit card and Venmo companies. They really appreciate it. 4) this is where you come if you want a proper mani/pedi that will last. If your skin is sensitive (e.g., want to leave your cuticles) or you want things done a certain way, be clear and speak simply through your mask. Pictures help, too. 5) please tip well! If you are in a position to get your nails done, budget for a respectable tip. If you must use your credit card, consider adding an extra 5% to help offset their fees. It was my first time at this salon and I absolutely loved it! I was immediately greeted upon entering and they provided a seat for my partner while I was getting my manicure. The establishment was very clean and organized. Triss was incredibly patient and honest when going through possible options on what I wanted for my manicure. On top of that, she took her time in making sure everything was perfect from start to finish. She was precise in assuring it would last. I have went here with a friend and she got her feet done. But this was last Thursday 7/30/20. And I got a full set and feet, but she did dip powder and I never asked for that she said that the length was too long but that's what I wanted. She kept filing at my cuticles and it hurt they where burning at the end finish and I had told her they hurt, but I still paid 120 for everything. And NOW my nails are breaking I nail at a time in less than a week. I believe the dip powder was old or something or just was not enough to keep my nails strong enough to stay on. But this is why I have gave a poor star yelp review. I think this is crazy that I'm losing every nail and I don't do nothing but a sit down job. I went in for my first dip manicure, as well as a pedicure, on a Saturday. Heads up, this salon is very, very small and cramped. I happened to go on a rainy day, so it was very busy and I had to climb over people and chairs to go look at colors. Positives: very polite and attentive staff, my pedicure turned out really well Negatives: Triss did my dip manicure (I heard she was the best so I made the appointment with her specifically), and while she was very polite she cut my cuticles and filed my nails so aggressively that it hurt. She didnt make an effort to avoid my cuticles when filing down the dip; she just kept filing even though it was rubbing away my cuticles. She didn't cut back or trim my cuticles before starting the dip, and I never got a hand massage with lotion when she finished. The manicure itself turned out ok (although some minor defects in the shape of the nail/nail coverage). All in all, I was sad that a relaxing day getting my nails done turned into a painful, tense experience. While this was a clean salon, and the staff was kind, I did not enjoy my experience/the results enough to return. read more

Impatient with removing my dip nails, did not soak it long enough and ended up shaving too deeply and too much of my nail. She was also chatting with the technician who was doing my pedicure and did not pay attention. At the end she shaved till she hit my nail bed causing it to bleed. She was very apologetic but now I am applying neosporin and bandaids every day on my vacation because my doctor warned me of infection with exposed nail bed. If you go here, make sure she is not too aggressive with shaving or this could happen to you too. read more
