My parents live in the south bay and the guys that normally do my tile and carpet cleaning couldn't travel that far, but my parents badly needed to have their tile floor and grout in the kitchen and entryway cleaned. I Googled tile and grout cleaning and they popped up, they had a coupon online so I called them and they went to my parents' place that week. I called my parents to see how it went and they were very happy. Considering my dad use to do carpet cleaning back in the day and is very skeptical of the work that gets done for him, both my parents were happy with the guys that came over. They said they were pretty detailed and even helped a little with some grout stains on the kitchen tile counter. They said they offered my parents a sealing option, which they didn't do this time but what they quoted is way cheaper than what I've been quoted for my own floors. I had them clean a couch, chair, area rug, a shower, 2 small tile floors and all grout. They really did an outstanding job and deserve a bit of my time to say so. They showed up with 2 vehicles, 4 workers, professional equipment, and huge fans to dry stuff after it's cleaned. This job wasn't big but they were at my house for 3 hours. The reason it took so long is they are VERY thorough (so don't have them come if you only have a few minutes...). They are very careful to take care of your house by wearing protection over their shoes and placing plastic guards on your corners so hoses don't scratch anything when they are being moved around. When they left, I was surprised at how dry everything was. Nothing is cheap on the peninsula but, considering the crews, equipment, time, and service I received, it was very fair and I honestly felt I got my moneys worth. My aunt lives out in Mountain View and she seems to have new cats every time I revisit. I used to live with her and back then her carpet was stained left and right. Soon I discovered Elegant Thread and from then on it was never much of an issue because any time we needed cleaning Elegant Thread was right there. They were always professional and on time. I have had white and off white wall-to-wall cleaned by many professional carpet cleaning companies, and Elegant Threads was the first company I have had that cleaned LR & DR, long hall and 2 BRs , had every cleaned up in less than two hours and there was no extra charges at the end (which I have had from several others. Two men came to do the work, they were polite, thorough and quiet. There were several choices of cleaning which I had picked from when the representative cane to see me and make an estimate. The men did exactly everything that was on my choice. A few spots are beginning to return (but they were on the carpet before I purchased my home. I used Elegant Thread for the first time and was very pleased with the service and will use them again. After a one-year remodel at my house, finding the right company to clean the carpets was the final touch. We recently painted inside and have new white baseboards. Elegant Thread Carpet Cleaning has been taking care of my 2 Indian carpets purchased in India in the late 80s and my Chinese silk carpet purchased in China in the mid 90's ever since I moved to the Bay Area 10 yrs ago. They have been open, honest and courteous. I have recently had to have the oldest of the rugs mended (dog attack separated edge binding). The rug has been excellently repaired such that I can not see a couple of the repairs.
