Jim's truck was driving through my neighborhood one morning and I hailed him down to see if he could stop by to clean my living room and family room. The three positive things I can say about Jim's Steamer Carpet Cleaner are: 1) He scheduled me for the same day I found him; 2) He and his partner were helpful in moving the items in those rooms that I couldn't lift myself; 3) They were priced reasonably. There are three main problems that would steer me clear from recommending his service to anyone: 1) They LEFT two large separate stains on my carpet that were not on my carpet before. Then they completely denied on the phone that they left stains and never returned to even look at the stains, despite a promise that they said they would. The stains seem to be some kind of water stain. You can see the dripping water lines. These stains will not come out. You may wonder why I didn't notice these stains when they finished the job? This leads to... 2) The carpets were much wetter than I have experienced carpets to be when using other companies. The carpet was wet enough that these new stains that were made by Jim's Steam Carpet Cleaner were not evident until 2 FULL days later when the carpets began to dry out. It took 3 whole days for the carpets to dry fully! 3) The most important reason to steer clear of Jim's Steamer Carpet Cleaner is that the process they use *seems* to actually ruins the carpet. Within weeks of my carpets being cleaned they started to become dingy and dirtier than they had looked before they were cleaned. I don't know why, I imagine it's from the machine/process they use and the effect it has on the carpet fibers. Jim's business card says in bold, big letters: "QUALITY IS OUR #1 GOAL." It just goes to prove you can't believe everything you read. Clearly I should have done my research before (literally) pulling someone in off the street. Lesson re-learned. read more

Thought it was time to right a review to thank them. We have been using Jim's Steamer Carpet Cleaner for three years now. They are courteous, efficient, reasonably priced, and take great pride in doing their job. We tried a well- known company years ago and once they arrived the price kept going up. That was the end of using them. Jim and Angela do not do that. The price they give you over the phone is the price you'll pay. I wasn't sure about keeping two small, old area rugs. Angela said, "Why don't I clean them? Then you can decide if you want to keep them or not." By the way, she did this without charging me more - just as a courtesy. I have been having them clean my carpets for a couple years now. They also clean my sisters house and the couple rental houses we own. Angela is amazing to work with and always seems to be able to fit me in when I want it done. I think their prices are excellent especially with the amazing job they do. I have pets so my carpets can get pretty yucky but when they leave my carpets look brand new again.. I would highly recommend!!! read more

After using Jim for carpet cleaning for many years, we had to part ways due to his poor customer relations. After being a regular client in good terms for years, the last time he cleaned the carpets they were unfortunately not clean at all. I called to ask him to come look at it, as we have always been on good terms & wanted his thoughts on what may be wrong with my carpet - he went ballistic on the phone - screamed at me and wouldn't listen to any attempts to calm the situation. He did finally offer for an employee to come take a look. I decided to not do any business again with an owner who would treat a customer like this. I stopped payment on check and he took me to small claims court. I fought it but lost, the judge used to work cleaning carpets :( I can honestly say I have never been screamed at like that by any service provider and I would say beware before doing business with Jim!!!!
