Not quite sure why this place is 3 stars, but its definitely a solid 4. For a quick pizza spot in a food court of Columbia tower, it has really solid pizza, the good stuff with the thin crust in a super hot oven, giving it the little bits of charred black areas. This spot pre-bakes the prepared pizzas part way, before fully heating it up and serving upon ordering. This is a common practice in a lot of pizza joints, and the final product is great! I like coming back for lunch as their pizzas arent tiny, but its definitely of decent quality. Ive had the truffle mushroom, Margherita, and elemental pizza and I can say they have all met and slightly exceeded my expectations. I'd highly recommend coming and checking it out sometime! I tried Elemental for the first time today, and was genuinely impressed. For $8.50, you get your pick of sauce (six choices), cheese (six choices), and three toppings. For a small place in a food court, their selection of toppings was larger than I expected. The meats (nine choices) included ghost pepper salami, hot Coppa, and chicken sausage, while for veggies (fifteen choices) they had options like caramelized onion, Mama Lil's, and arugula. For mine, I got tomato sauce, fresh mozzarella, mushroom, red onion, and ghost pepper salami. In what felt like lightening speed, my pizza was ready. The crust was ultra thin, crispy, and tender; not overly-chewy. The tomato sauce was light and fresh. The toppings were generous. My only criticisms were that the ghost pepper salami had zero heat (though that's not the fault of Elemental), and the mushrooms tasted more on the raw side because of how quickly these pies get cooked. The relative affordability for the amount of food you get, the quality of the ingredients, and the speed they can turn out the pizzas makes Elemental one of my new go-to options when I decide to eat out for lunch. read more

You know I usually love this pizza place. It's quite a busy location, so I thought I'd beat the crowds and order online. Big mistake! I order online. It tells me when to pick it up. I show up on time. It's not ready and then they don't have it, and then they make me the wrong one. Really, there is hardly any taste to it, except that the sauce is too sweet. 3rd time I had a caesar salad, which was also bland, because apparently they use a very tiny amount of dressing. I am currently addicted to their arugula and prosciutto pizza, with olive oil drizzled nicely, no heavy sauce. I add fresh mushrooms and I'm all set. The pizza for lunch size is enough for two meals. The crust is rustic and perfectly thin. The options for vegan cheese (I know, sounds odd but it is delicious!!!) and the freshness of the toppings are to be noted. The red sauce is more like tomato paste -- no flavor and very sweet. The shredded mozz was like a big thick sheet of bland over the top of the sauce. (They offer fresh mozz, as well as goat cheese, feta, and even vegan cheese, so maybe one of those is better).
