The wait for dinner and drinks was awful. A lady with her fam next to us freaked out at the wait staff, threatened to leave and yelled that it was, "An unmitigated disaster". Never have I waited so long for a meal, but our group is a little calmer than that lady for sure. The porterhouse pork-chop was pretty bad too, tough and lacking flavor. The only great thing about this place was the breakfast buffet which was one of the best breakfast buffets I've ever been to. We ate here on a Friday night for a much awaited date night. The restaurant was empty except for two other tables, but that was fine for us. Our waiter was great. The view of the river is outstanding. The dinner rolls were just ok, but the butter was very tasty. We had the filet and pork chop. Both were surprisingly good, especially given some of the poor reviews. We would not hesitate to return. We utilized the kids night out - well worth the money to have some adult time! read more

We stayed at the kingsmill resort where this restaurant is located inside the main building. We decided to dine for nye and we were glad we did. Upon arriving they were running a little bit behind but we were able to sit at the bar even though we had our little with us with no problem. (Some places make a big deal having a toddler on your lap even for 5 min) shortly after we were seated at our table. They had everything already set and ready for us. Our waiter was excellent and attentive, which was refreshing since it was jam packed. Also the food was absolutely wonderful! Fresh, hot, and just right! Just had a really nice dinner with my wife and kids. The staff were attentive and professional. The food was 4 star quality and on par with cost. Had scallops and my wife had salmon. The kids had a burger and chicken fingers. (Also had three starters that were killer). I had a little of everything and all was great. I was considering not trying the place as the overall Yelp rating was low. So glad I decided on giving it a shot! I'd say I'd be back but I'm only here for one night and live in California. read more

Excellent happy hour!! We were surprised at how good the deals were! Normally a $3 glass of wine on happy hour is house wine which is not the greatest but they came out with a nice bottle! We showed up 2 minutes before happy hour was ending and they let us order 2 glasses of wine each which was very nice! They also brought us complimentary nuts! The view was perfect! Overlooking the James river! The server was nice enough as she really didn't have to pay attention to us after getting our drinks. She did a great job refilling our waters as well.. no one ever rushed us to get out either as we were only drinking wine and not ordering food some people may not like that but they didn't care. The ambiance is very classy! I would highly recommend coming here for happy hour with a good view! I know they have breakfast and dinner as well! From what I saw the food looked good! read more

What can I say....terrible food - would have given 0 stars if possible. Had to send prime rib ( a special) back as served raw and tough. Chef Michael was drinking on the job. Celebrated my mother's 88th birthday at The Kingsmill's Elements 1010. The surf and turf special was outstanding - perfectly prepared rib eye steak and lobster tail with bacon Brie mashed potatoes and grilled baby asparagus. My brother's duck was delicious and the poached lobster appetizer was too small and plating needed improvement. Service was friendly, accommodating and attentive. They moved us to a round table near the window with ease. The complimentary birthday cheesecake made it even more special. read more

As with other restaurants at Kingsmill Resort, the restaurants claim to be "very busy" or "reserved" but are actually not busy at all -- I observed that the restaurants are simply understaffed. For Elements 1010, there are no busboys, so waiters bus their own tables and even the visibly annoyed bartender was delivering drinks to tables. Wine was delivered finally, but it was warm and the staff is clearly untrained. As for the food, the kitchen attempts grand dishes but they fall short with over salting and over seasoning, and on salads, over-dressing. Our waitress was lovely and tried her best. On our night dining here, we could tell it was a chef and management problem -- not a serving / server issue for sure. The views over the James River were lovely -- but it didn't overcome the sloppy management, cranky bar staff or poorly prepared foods. read more

My wife and I went with another couple for dinner on a Sunday evening unaware dining format on Sundays is buffet style. The food was good although the service at the buffet stand was not. When we requested bowls of the soup from the woman working the buffet, we were told there were no more bowls. When I located bowls, I was told there were no more spoons. We asked a server to assist and were successful in locating spoons. Management definitely needs to step up the training of their staff on the basics of customer service. read more

Mediocre, overpriced food combined with poor customer service makes for a frustrating dining experience. Save your money and head to one of Williamsburg's many good restaurants in the same price range as Elements. Kingsmill can and really should do much better with their restaurants. Staying at my in-laws and my husband and I had a date night at Elements. We were disappointed. The food was over cooked and not particularly well seasoned. I had a reservation at this place almost a week ahead .On May 6 2017 , I had reservation for group of 4 people at 6.45pm, it's my wife's birthday, so I told the staff to bring a cake as a surprise .we finished dinner and she even bought check but not cake , so I went upfront and asked the lady about cake then she replied I told your waitress, fact is waitress forgot to bring at all , what a customer care??I can totally understand if the restaurant is busy and they forgot , it's hardly 3 other tables were filled , she basically spoiled all the plans and made me upset so much and food was terrible . This review is for the breakfast buffet only, which was included in our package at Kingsmill. We ate there twice for breakfast and both times we had the best servers! Very attentive and super nice. The food was excellent....better than most breakfast buffets in terms of the quality of the food. Fresh fruit, made to order omelets, french toast, eggs, breakfast potatoes, sausage, bacon, yummy pastries, cereal, bagels, and more. Gluten free options available. Good coffee and beautiful view of the James river. Liked that it was not overcrowded and didn't have to fight people for food or wait in line. Overheard that the price was $18.95....not sure it's worth quite that if you have a family, but if its included in your package, don't miss it. read more

Just got back from a week stay at the Kingsmill. We had dinner at Elements our first night there. It was wonderful. The waitress was extremely friendly, always smiling, and great with our kids (which is not easy to do when one of them is a teenager)! The food was excellent. I had the crab pizza. It was perfect. Wish I had it again now! My husband had the lamb chops...he said they were soooo good (he wouldn't share). We sat outside and had a beautiful view of the river. Oh, and I asked for them to recommend a good drink...purple rain...you have to try it! read more
