The decor is really nice (didn't get a chance to take pics) and spotless. Definitely a place where you can catch sports games and such. After our party arrived, it was time to place our orders. I selected their fish and chips (rockfish was the protein) along with red crispers and I replaced their coleslaw with green beans. Overall, the dish was really good. The fish was crispy and well seasoned and the red crispers tasted wonderful with their homemade tarter sauce as the dipper. I wasn't a big fan of the green beans as I prefer mine to be soft though. But I was plenty full with the dish overall. The reason why I gave them 4 stars was service for our group. It wasn't bad as we were attended to by the welcoming staff, but it was 3 total servers which was a little weird. One server was new and messed up some of the orders. And for one person, their dish came out a little different than how she imagined so she sent it back and paid nothing. Again, not bad service but much needed training for the new guy. My water glass had lipstick stains around the rim, which was pretty off-putting. My father ordered a beer that didn't arrive until after our food, and by then we had honestly forgotten he had ordered it. We also weren't given appetizer plates before our appetizer was brought out. We ended up getting up and finding plates ourselves. The food was fine, but nothing memorable. Considering the prices, I expected much better quality. It honestly wasn't any better than what you'd get at a casual fish and chips restaurant. The waterfront view is beautiful, but it wasn't enough to make up for the service, cleanliness, and overall dining experience. Unfortunately, we won't be returning.

Both the scallops and pork chop were really delicious. It was a little hard to discern the meat from the fat on the chop because it's a little too dimly lit to see your food. The place is usually packed with people, but the restaurant was almost empty at dinner time. I could not figure it out until my meal was brought out to the table. It explained why the restaurant is no longer busy. Went tonight for my birthday and it was a big disappointment. I ordered the special Grilled Rockfish and Shrimp for $30.99. My friend ordered the crab cakes for $39.99. The rockfish and shrimp had so much salty and foul tasting red seasoning that the only taste was the seasoning. Rockfish is delicious and the only seasoning needed for cooking is some butter, lemon, salt and pepper. Why would any cook (I say cook because they do not have a chef) ruin delicious piece of fish like rockfish by completely covering the fish in some seasoning that is meant for crab boil. The only reason restaurants use heavy seasoning are when they want to cover the taste of seafood that is not fresh or they have cooks that do not know how to properly cook rockfish. I could not tell if the rockfish was fresh because the only thing I could taste was the seasoning that was caked on the fish in a thick coating like a dry rub on ribs. I took two bites of the very small 4 oz filet of rockfish and had heartburn and indigestion. The 6 shrimp were small 50/60 count and were rubbery with no flavoring except the seasoning. The rockfish meal was $30.99 and the only thing I can say is the broiled fish dinner at Captain Ds for $10 beats the meal at Surfrider hands down. My friend had the crab cakes which she said were very good. She could not eat the collard greens because she said they were so salty that they were not edible. The cucumbers in vinegar side was also unlike any cucumber salad I have ever tried and I don't mean that in a good way. Good service and ambience but that still does not raise the bar above 1 star. Probably not the worse seafood dinner I have ever had but it definitely is the worse dinner that I had spent $100 on.

I had breakfast at Honey Butter's, had my laptop with me and worked while I was there. My waitress, Aliana, was wonderful. She was delightfully happy and very responsive. She made a great recommendation for my omelet (three cheese and add sausage) and had a smile on her face the entire time. You could hear her joy when interacting with the other customers as well. When I work at a restaurant like this I make sure I am not there at their busy time. I arrived around 9:30 am and left around 11 am. Aliana checked on me periodically and kept my coffee hot the entire time I was there. The food was also superb (with the exception of the biscuit). The omelet was hot, the combination of cheeses was great and the spinach was sautéed and distributed throughout my omelet. The potatoes here are wonderful. They are cooked in a butter garlic sauce that add to the flavor, but doesn't overwhelm. They are perfectly crispy on the outside and soft in the center. I just wish the biscuits were better. They always get hard after about 10 min with a stale consistency (but don't let this stop you from enjoying everything else!).
