After a really bad haircut, I was in desperate need of help for my curly waves. Not only was Elena attentive, she was empathetic. After briefly discussing what I was looking for, Elena got straight to work on expertly snipping away at the problem areas. And, let me tell you, Elena knew the assignment! Generally, everything about the hair cut was just "fine." It's a simple salon - not flashy or anything like that. I had made an appointment because I was used to making appointments months in advance at my last salon (I moved recently). It does not seem like appointments are necessary. The experience itself was lack luster - I got a wash, cut, and blow dry - which I find pretty standard. I found it odd that she didn't sit me down and take a look at my hair dry or ask me what I really wanted before taking me back, but every stylist is different. The wash was kind of rough, definitely not what I'm used to - which again, may just be a personal preference. The cut was simple - long layers. I told her where I parted my hair because she didn't ask but she told me she'd cut it center because it would look better that way and the part wouldn't matter (gentle foreshadowing - that made the cut look worse). When all was said and done I asked her to blend and soften the layers a little and she did, which I appreciated, but there just wasn't any saving the front - which is what I have to see every time I look in the mirror. The layers in the front on the side I part my hair to are short and harsh and just do not fall nicely. When it came to pay - cash only. Which, thank god I brought cash (maybe I missed something). The cut was $45 but the wash and blow dry was another 30. at that price point I would have been better off going to a Boujie salon for a much better experience and a little more money. Unfortunately I just don't think this is the salon for me. I'm so glad other people have such a great experience, but If you're looking for more relaxing salon vibes with the type of stylist to take the time to talk about what you like, I would not recommend coming here. In short id say this is Super Cut Quality with Fancy Salon Prices - just not worth it unfortunately. read more

I only trust Elena with my hair. She has great techniques, is sweet and friendly to everybody. Clean space, tools, and is efficient. She is a strong woman running this salon all by herself and you can tell she is always busy and does an amazing job. read more

The owner stepped in during a power outage to fix a terrible haircut I got at great clips and barely wanted to charge me. She is an angel for that so friendly and she even took my call 20 minutes before closing on Sunday night! I stumbled upon this place while visiting one of my best friends. I complained to her about wanting a change to my appearance. I'm usually not one to entrust someone new with something as life-changing as a cut and dye job but something about Elena stood out. There was something familiar about her. She is a sweet, bright individual who worked with my needs to give me something I wanted. I have curly hair and it is rare for me to find someone who understands shrinkage and styling. Elena gets it. I got layers and subtle highlights throughout my brown hair and I have never been more satisfied. I don't usually leave yelp reviews unless something is exceptionally good or exceptionally awful. I was glad Elena was available last minute. When you're regular hair dresser doesn't respond It's hard to find a good hair salon. Elena was very personable and you immediately feel comfortable around her and she did a great job with my hair cut and hair color. We just have to see how long the color will last . She did a fantastic job on my long hair and is wonderful to talk to, the sweetest person I have met in a while and I am glad to support her!
