Douchiest place EVER. This is the type of place that I imagine the cast of Jersey Shore went to pre-fame, girls in super tight and tacky dresses, guys who spend major bucks on Ed Hardy thinking that they're being stylish. It's the kind of place that attracts the cliched "I work hard, play hard" crowd. The type of crowd that drove me out of Hollywood and now out of downtown on the weekends. The type of crowd that over extends on their credit cards to show that they're big business but have nothing interesting to say or do. I was there for a friend's birthday and she was told us to get on the guest list and we wouldn't have to wait in line or pay cover as long as we get there by 10:30. I normally don't go to clubs where you have to wait in line but since it was for a friend's birthday I obliged. I get there at 10 and it's a huge clusterf*** It takes me a while to realize that there are THREE lines (regular, guest list, and bottle service). I get in the bottle service line and they REFUSE to let us in. No explanation and they're saying all kinds of inconsistent things. The line was obviously a ploy to build hype for the club and to draw people in the area from the other bars and clubs to send the message that this was THE happening place. It wasn't. And while $12 for drinks is pricey, I'm willing to pay if its one of those handcrafted cocktails you get at the specialty bars because of the labor and care put into a drink - I knew a guy at Cole's who's hands practically became numb even with gloves because he was hand chipping ice blocks for EACH old fashioned (yum!). 1 star This review is going to be biased and usually I don't like being a Negative Nelson but because what actually happened occurred between the club owner of Elevate and my friend, I felt compelled to write this review. My friend owns two event promotion companies and he invited me to one of his events that was being held at Elevate. His promotion companies cater to the Asian American night life scene so his market demographics predominantly consists of Asian. I agreed to support him so I arrive at Elevate with four girls and four guys including yours truly on the night of the event. We get in without any hassle and we don't have to pay cover because we're on my friend's VIP list. My first impression of the place besides it being pretty empty at 11:00 pm was positive. It had a great view of the city where huge expansive windows overlooked downtown Los Angeles. The interior was modern and sleek. The music was bumping some pretty good jams and our waitress was very friendly to us. I spent $150 in the span of twenty minutes because I'm buying rounds for my friends. (You know how that goes). My group and I start dancing and it seemed like the beginning of a fun filled evening... That is until my promotion company owner friend taps me on the shoulder. He tells me that he and about fifty others are taking off to another venue that he's also hosting tonight. Shocked, I asked him why he's taking off so early. The night was still an infant! He responded by telling me that the club owner (Schleprock) of Elevate told him that there would be a cap on the number of Asians who would be allowed entrance to the club!!! My friend told Schleprock that his events cater to Asians and that usually 1000 to 1500 people come out to his events. The club owner refused to budge his original stance and told my friend that even if my friend could net him $20,000 that night, he didn't want Asians in his club. He was afraid the club would be known as an Asian hangout!!! Disgusted, my friend decided to drop Elevate and concentrate on the other event he was hosting that night. I was pretty annoyed too and upon hearing the news I immediately closed my tab and left. I understand that keeping a club diverse should remain a priority but most places host events for specific social, ethnic, etc. groups on special occasions. Furthermore, if clubs really want to be selective with whom they let in, they should do so based upon physical attractiveness or the amount of wealth club goers wishing to gain entrance possessed. I saw a lot of unattractive people (and I don't just mean physical attractiveness but attire and general appearance too) gain entrance into Elevate. There were people I would never even think about associating with unless I was cornered into a room and was forced to interact with them for obligatory reasons. If you're reading this review Schleprock, you should really consider your strategy moving forward or maybe try to add some business acumen to the coke lines you're taking. Do some research and look at other popular clubs in Hollywood like Area and Opera. They usually have diverse crowds and every now and then, they will host events for particular groups. They make a ton of greenbacks and it further builds the reputation of the club because they're able to reach out to more people in general. A duh. The one star goes just to the interior, the view, and the staff of Elevate. I don't blame the bouncers and henchmen for their arrogant attitudes because they're just lemmings following the idiotic steps of their employer. read more

***Elevate Lounge is a dance club on the 21st floor of a Downtown Los Angeles building; the club does not get too busy and there is a good mix of dance floor and lounge-like seating along the walls that provide views of nearby buildings; the music is decent but nothing that memorable; the crowd seems okay; I think the lounge is open (outside parts) so it is a tad hot in the summer; the cover is $20 per person, which is what I would expect*** I am not sure what the parking situation is around Elevate Lounge. She and I have been exchanging emails prior to the event and the girl knows how to cope with me and Jac's OCD disorder. I have to say that I am a fan of Lounging. This is a really cool place to hang out with your friends and chill. My girlfriends and I went to this Lounge to talk, have a couple of drinks, dance, and have fun. I thought that the place was really inviting and cool. Parking was like $7 and it did not take very long to retrieve the car when your about to go home. Entering the Lounge was not bad because they had security guards checking your ID..however, be careful about the stamp on your wrist..it tends to smirrrrrrrr all over.. After riding the elevator to the Lounge..you find yourself outside.. it looks elegant and pretty because you get to see all of downtown. The Bartenders are really nice and they like to make your drinks a tad strong.. if you know what I mean hehe The dance floor was not large..but enough to if you only want to dance for a small amount of time and not all nite. WTF!!!!!!!!!! how can people actually think this place is "okay" i made reservations there for my wifey's bday about a month ago....the person i was exchanging emails with told me it would be 3 bottles minimum for 15 people.....he said we would not need to provide a list of names.....so, ok get there early, around 10, and there's a pretty decent line......we walk up to the front to the doorman who looks like the old WWF wrestler big bam bigelow.....he gives us attitude for a minute then tells us to wait......wutever......he then opens up the magic rope and makes us wait again on the side........hmmmmm.......if im dropping a G on three bottles, then i would figure a little better treatment from a part time rent-a-cop we finally get in after another 10 minutes of waiting........and we are escorted to the elevators to the 21st floor....... once inside, the place was packed!!!!! with a bunch of 40-somethings!!!!!! they were gettin down alright.......to the tunes of kris kross' jump jump...... im not one to judge a crowd, but this was definitely not a "typical" LA night scene im used to we ordered up a couple bottles of goose and one bottle of crown........once the alcohol started flowin, we just went with the flow and made the best of a bad situation........apparently, they stopped letting in my wife's friends and she had to go down the 21 floors a couple times to ask big bam to allow them in......he kindly obliged, but not after taking 20 bucks a head from them bottles were crushed by midnight and the wait staff quickly cleaned up our table area as if they were trying to push us out......ended up dropping more coin at the bar....... the music they played would have made casey kasem proud...... the crowd was, once again, "different" oh yea! celebrity siting......i think i saw Rose, the actual survivor from of the Titanic.....she looked stunning in her blue dress.......and looked vibrant at 97 years old!!!!! Conversation before the majority of the crowd arrives: Me: "It smells like smoke in here" AJ: "There's people smoking right there" (points straight ahead at the windows on the other side of the room) Me: "Aren't we indoors?" AJ and I went on a little tour of the place which turns out was surrounded by an "outdoor patio" but we were indoors. I was trippin' out. I even stuck my hand at the window to find it wasn't a window but a shade thingy. Convenient for the smokers...not so cool for us non-smokers. The "outdoorness" also made the whole place very cold...until you start dancing of course. There's a coat check which is convenient. Bar by the main entrance sucked. The bartender made eye-contact with us twice while serving some chicks...then proceeds to serve some dudes who walk up outta nowhere instead of serving us. WTF? We go to the bar in the back...got served immediately. $12/drink. They weren't stiff at all, so I'm guessing you're paying for the "ambiance". (The view from the 21st floor was pretty cool.) You know the music wasn't that great if a girl who doesn't dance is saying it. The transitions were not smooth at all. I don't know if I'd come here again. Maybe to celebrate something but that's about it. I did like the fact that there were plenty of seats throughout the place since I'm the loungy type of girl. But the whole "being on a list" thing just bothers me. You know you're in a classy joint when there's a bathroom attendant standing smack in the middle of the two sinks. My first time going out in downtown LA.. The view from the 21st floor was definitely unique for the club compared to other ones I've been to! I enjoyed the spacious air coming through the open windows of the city view. It was just gorgeous and amazing! Venue: Definitely not as big as a club can be but it is a lounge.. Dark atmosphere and lighting of course. Bouncer at the front telling you, you need a stamp if you are coming from Takama Restaurant across the hall or you need to go back downstairs to get a wristband...couches and tables around the club. Bathroom has 3 stalls with a cleaner up front. very friendly.. Line: If you don't want to wait in line. why don't you just say you want to go to the restaurant side, grab some drinks and get a stamp/wristband to hop onto the lounge.. easy breezy! That's what we did when it was 5 minutes before restaurant closing! Drinks: average city-like prices.. pretty strong especially for the shots amount.. bartenders are very friendly *wink* just work it girls.. haha Valet: available for around $20 though! Quick and convenient Music: top notch = r&b/ hip hop/ top billboards.. kept me pumping throughout the whole night that's for sure! You will hear the tremendous bass going on in the hallway and bathroom though. It seems like the place was about to explode. People: Very diverse.. Everybody in my party was dressed nicely with shirt and tie, oh but we weren't allowed in because my $120 Kenneth Cole shiny black shoes had too many laces and the stupid idiot bouncer said they're casual. They're definitely not casual, this idiot just pointed us out and just straight up decided he for some reason, didn't want us in. He pointed out his own shoes and said these are dress shoes, I know what dress shoes are, and just because I wasn't wearing traditional, doesn't mean they weren't formal. My shoes were nicer than the bouncers and most typical dress male shoes in line. They were probably hoping we would slip them a few bills to turn the other way. First of all I would like to thank the lovely girls who got my lazy ass to dress up. I would also like to thank the lovely girls (also Rick and Kevin) who took care of my drunk ass. Finally, I would like to thank all the girls who grabbed my ass. :D Very lovely place. Like a simplistic, clean and attractive design. Huge dance floor and plenty of room to park your drunk butt. Fairly attractive crowd and very attractive staff. Really nice bouncers, who actually make sure you get outside the building safely as they throw your drunk ass out of the place. (I deserved it and would still go back) Valet, in the small and dark alley next to the building, was about $7-8. If you want to leave your car in the parking structure over night - $45. Drinks were definitely on the pricey side at $12/drink. We didn't wait in line to get it, so not sure if it's worth it and how long it is. If the yelpettes can get me inside without waiting in line again, I'd definitely come back. P.S. For those of you who didn't count, I mentioned my butt five times. Is it possible to be both underwhelmed and overwhelmingly frustrated at the same time? Well, it must be, cause this place sucked big balls. I had such high hopes when we first decided to go there to celebrate a friend's birthday. From the website, the place looked gorgeous. We were down to drink some good vodka and enjoy the view. We get there early on a Saturday night. We wait in line. Actually, we kinda mill around in a big group, because the door people cannot get their act together. Finally, I walk up to the doorman and say we have a table reservation and bottle service. I then have to wait more because the lady with the bottle service list is upstairs. Excuse me? What is that CIA looking headset and earpiece for then. She gets downstairs, checks her list and confirms that yes, we do get table service. Then we wait some more for another guy to remove the rope. One of the most ill-run front of house/door services I've seen. $300 per bottle, a bottle every 4 people ain't cheap. Yet, for this amazing price, they won't leave the bottles at your table! Yes, that's right, a waitress comes around, pours some vodka for you, and then takes off with your bottle. Oh, but before she can pour, you have to wait for your cups, a process that can take about half an hour. When they arrive, your waitress will probably be busy taking away someone else's overpriced bottle. It's a very nice way to charge for bottle service, then ensure that your customers will not drink their full bottle. They also refuse to open the bottles at your table. So, though the bottle said Grey Goose, the vodka takes strangely reminiscent of Absolut, watered down Absolut at that. The problem with not letting in a general crowd is that only a certain crowd can get in. Honestly, rich people, especially young rich people, can often have a certain douchebag quality and that was evident here in the mix. My friends and I were able to get in for free because we ate at Takami beforehand. However, the rest of the friends that came to meet with us stood in line at least an hour even though they arrived at 10 p.m. which is really ridiculous plus they had to pay a $20 cover which also sucks. Yet, the venue was empty at around 10 p.m. so I really don't understand why they won't let people in at that time. I wouldn't have my birthday party here if you don't want your friends to show up w/out a problem. Seriously annoying! Music- Top 40's, decent music Dancefloor- It becomes a sardineville as you get later into the night which is really annoying when you want to get down and have fun with your friends. Crowd- I'm sorry but crowd is really ghetto here. Semi-diverse but not really. I love how they try to make this place all trendy and upscale but in reality the crowd doesn't really reflect what the establishment is trying to do. Drinks- Of course pricey Overall experience- Meh.. I've had better. I think Elevate has already gone over it's time in LA and we are ready for a revamp of the establishment. *Tip- To get in the club w/out waiting in line or w/out a fee, eat at Takami first. I have been here for 3 consecutive weekends this month (jan 2017) and that says it all. Bottle service is pretty cheap, 2 bottles for $760 including tax and gratuity. Don't go early. The DJ spinning Saturday before 1130PM sucks... Unless this is the regular DJ... I say no.. I know i am so brutal sometimes, but I just want to share my experience. The only perk is that one of the workers notice that we having a not-so-fab time, so he offered to purchase some drinks for us - mind you, there were five females in our group, including myself. Jameson. Hello. I hate Jameson. hahah! Anyway, the only thing that stood out like a green thumb are the ridiculous line for the women's bathroom and the terrible music. Like seriously Mr. DJ, you were spinning 2003-2004 tunes that were oldies, but not goodies. What. So. Ever. I will admit, a very nice lounge. Open windows and large, padded seating wrapped around the deck. Two large bars and one small cash bar. Overall, it's chill. The crowd was mixed, but I recall a lot of African American men and women. Ladies, it's a short crowd of men. So sad. HAHAHA! BTW, do go at a decent hour. Lines do get very long for guests and VIPs. I say arrive around 930ish. Came here for my 30th Birthday, and im glad I did. ::::::::::LOCATION:::::::::: In the heart of Downtown, Elevate make you feel like you moved on up. There is reasonably priced valet parking in the side street/alley nearby. Located in what seems like a normal office building during the day, take the elevator all the way to the top. Once you exit the elevator go to your left and you are there. ::::::::::VENUE:::::::::: The venue is very nice. Wonderful rooftop views of Downtown. Plush seating throughout the place (for a price). But when I was there, the tables werent sold out so we copped a squat easily. The bartenders were nice and made my drinks pretty strong. ::::::::::ATMOSPHERE:::::::::: The club had a cool vibe. How does this lounge have an average rating of 3 stars when it barely deserves 1? Ridiculous. Just about as ridiculous as this place is. SITUATION: It's our friends birthday. Her face was on the flyer. Can't get more legit than that. All we had to do was get there before 1030p and mention her name at the door and/or DJ Catalyst, and we're in, for free. Easier said than done. My guy friends made sure to be there before 10p, just in case the line was long. And it wasn't. They were actually one of the first ones there. And the bouncers, etc. did nothing but HASSLE the shit out of them. "Oh, your shoes aren't right. You should buy some at Valet." "Oh, it's not up to us, it's up to the promoters upstairs." YADDA YADDA YADDA. They were properly dressed. My guy friend who had to buy dress shoes at Valet for $30 was denied because his shoes were SUEDE. HELLO, WHAT WORLD DO YOU LIVE IN WHERE SUEDE IS NOT CONSIDERED NICE? So they ended up paying $10 each because it was our friend's birthday, and regardless of it being free or not, we had to get in there. And they surely took advantage of that fact. It was a Friday night and with the Las Vegas type hassle we were already receiving at the door, you think this lounge was the swankiest in all of DTLA. WRONG. Fobby Filipinos were the only ones with bottle service. All other tables were empty. We can't even stand freely where we want to. After having dinner at Takami, we walked right over to Elevate. Eh. The place gets two stars because it really is a beautiful place but that's it. It was pretty empty and I was easily the tallest person there in my 6 inch heels. The music was so 2003 (think Beyonce Crazy In Love) The few people that were on the dance floor looked like they were 10 and the girls were awkwardly twerking which quickly reminded me that I am no longer 21. Whatever happened to actually dancing? I guess that's extinct too along with people's dignity. We were there for maybe 20 minutes before leaving. I came in a party of 20 which is a pretty large but its not anything Emily couldn't help me with. just a few tips -line starts forming at 10. (Basically when the venue opens) -for the dudes dress as if your going to a formal. The crowd is classy. -drinks are LA priced. Its not unbelievably pricey. -took a little bit of time for people to get on the dance floor (not drunk enough yet). other than that everything was pretty sick. Awesome crowd, scene. This place is a joke. With The dress code they enforce you'd think that you'd be walking into a really nice high class place. Nope, not a chance. The line for the women's restroom was ridiculous and security was all over the place hounding your every move. This place is not what it used to be. They recently remodeled the club to get more customers but its still one of the below average lounge/clubs in the LA are. First of all, they make you wait a long time even tough inside is empty. Second, all the security guards, waitresses and the manager are extremity rude. Their drinks are overpriced and not that good anyways. The only good thing about this place is that since it is not crowded that much, there is a lot of places to sit, otherwise I don't recommend this place at all. There are much better places to go to. Spent over $200 at Takami and tried to continue the party over at Elevate and they demanded a $40 cover charge for my girlfriend and I. Knowing us, we would easily spend $40 in drinks at the bar (probably more) which we relayed to the bouncer. He looked confused and disappointed. So we walked out. I think it would make sense for Elevate to treat patrons of Takami with some priority, but that's not the case. I write this review truly disappointed. read more

The nightlife here has never been a disappointment the couple of times I've been here. The 1st time was just by being on the guestlist and the 2nd time was with bottle service. Both times went without a hitch and had great times. There are 2 valet options downstairs. The $7 option is just a step away from the entrance and the $6 option is right across the street. The line to get in isn't very long at all if you want to get in free before 10:30pm on the guestlist. Otherwise its $20 after 10:30. Bouncers have always been super nice but just make sure that guys have on dress shoes and a button down and there will be no problems getting in....don't try and fight an establishment's dress code! For those with table service, there is a separate line and let the bouncers know, ID check, stamps on the hand, and you're in! After taking the elevator ride up to the 21st floor, you'll notice the great views wrapping around part of the lounge. The ceilings are low though and adds to a cramped feeling. If you want more air, hang out on the outskirts of the lounge and its open window atmosphere there. There is also a mini-bar in the back corner in case the other bars are taking too long to get a drink. We had a table on the dance floor but the speakers are really loud and the staff was very accommodating in moving our group next to the windows/ledge with the views. It was a little bit chilly for the girls but they had a heater blasting in our direction so it was still comfortable. The music was a mix of hip hop and Top 40/edm mixes, although hip hop won out more throughout the night. Its hard to find lounges that are playing hip hop, seems like everything nowadays are catering to the EDM crowd so I was stoked about that! The dance floor is somewhat small but can handle Elevate's crowd and isn't overly packed elbow to elbow. There is also enough space to just chill along the outskirts. Mainly 25-35 year olds and mixed crowd. Oh and shoutout to the butler dude in the men's bathroom. That guy keeps it as fun as fun can be while waiting in line to piss! read more

So a couple of months ago I was trying to find a place to party for my friend's birthday. I sent a message to the reservation email on their website and Emily contacted me pretty fast. She gave me a great deal and was able to take good care of our huge party of 22! When we got there we waited for a few minutes in line and we were directed to our table. Emily was there to greet me and she introduced me to my server. Our server was great and Emily would ask us if we were doing ok throughout the night. Service was awesome! I will definitely come back and talk to Emily! As far as the club goes, it is sort of like an indoor/outdoor club. Which means smoking is allowed at our table! There is a great view of the city and it gets nice and cool when we get sweaty from dancing. It is a mixed crowd but I like the classy feel to things. Dress code is enforced and valet parking is provided at the side of the club. It was a fun time and I will definitely be coming back again! read more

Elevate is always a good place to hang out and get bottle service, especially for a birthday. It's a chill hip hop and Spanish mix of music not all crazy like club Argyle in Hollywood. Place did get a little smaller from when I came last time. Decent prices for bottle service and of course great customer service. Taylor the reservation manager great care of my party and my self. Taylor would check in from time to time even though we had our own hostess. I came here last night for my friend's bday and I was unimpressed, and trust me I really wanted to like this place. My friend bought 2 bottles, and was told that she could get a certain amount of people in for free and they wouldnt have to stand in line. I arrived around 10:55p I walked up to the bouncer and told him that Im on a friends guestlist. He told me to get in the guestlist line. I told him that I was told that we wouldnt have to stand in line and he replied "they lied to you". LOL, he wasnt mean about it though, so I just went over to the guestlist line. The bouncer at the guestlist line wasnt as friendly. But after about 5-10mins we got in, but they didnt let the actual bday girl in b/c apparently she wasnt in the right line. And she was pissed b/c apparently she paid like $650. But a few minutes later she got in. Once we took the elevator up, there was a hostess that led us to our table.it was nice seating against the wall and it was facing the bar, but I think it would have been better to be seated by the dance floor. It was pretty cold sitting against the wall though because the whole place is like an open window. And because of this, they also allow smoking inside, which I didnt like. Also, it started sprinkling so we were actually getting a little wet. There was a nice size dance floor for the place to be a "lounge" and in the middle it was a little stage with a go-go dancer. The music was like techo mixes of top 40 songs. I was NOT feeling the music at all. Nor was I feeling the crowd. The cowd was old and not attractive. And we were like the only black people there. The decor was nothing special to me, and the view was not spectacular either. I think to have a nice view you need to be higher than the surrounding buildings, because if your lower the buildings block the view. But even though I didnt like the place I was glad to celebrate my friends bday and see my friends! read more

Excellent interior design. Intelligent use of space. Lighting a wee bit bright. Even in bright light, Yelp ladies are worthy of worship. Yelpettes are BRAINY, FUN AND BEAUTIFUL! Downtown LA has it all. Elevate reminds me of an up and coming lounge in the "South of Howston," NYC area. We had our holiday party here. Booked it in August before there were all these not-so-hot reviews to take into consideration. Damnit. The location is tops...but after that, things go downhill. I'll start with the pros before I rail it with the cons. Pros: Location, view, decor. My first two drinks were mixed nicely and the two mozzarella skewers that I had, were very tasty. Other reports from people who ACTUALLY GOT TO EAT, were that the food was very good. In the early evening, before things got hopping, the music was great (Massive Attack, mixed 80s), but later found out that wasn't the DJ. Makes sense upon reflection. The manager for the lounge was very down to earth and polite, as well as easy to deal with. Too bad not all our instructions saw the light of day. Cons: Security was over-the-top lame. When coming back from the ladies room, one bouncer was more concerned that my stamp showed up properly in his hand held black light (because everyone carries a red star stamp in their pocket, just dying to sneak into this club...right?), than he was with three girls about the throw down outside the bathroom. That's class. Our food was supposed to be out from 7:30 to 9:30, but as I previously mentioned, I only got two skewers of cheese. The food was swept up just before 9pm. I guess it's my fault for getting stuck for an hour when dropping off our party favors (thanks to the valet who couldn't understand me saying "i'm delivering to Elevate" and tried to charge me for parking AND sent me up the freight elevator for the building next door....awesome), which made me really late to our own party. Our dessert consisted of 76 petit fours. Our guest list was 124 people. Guess making sure each guest got one tiny, one inch by one inch dessert after we paid $15k for this party, was asking WAY too much. The bouncers, I thought, were supposed to keep our private party, um, private. But I guess if you're some cheesy downtown douche bag who wants to dry hump your date on the sofa in clear view of 100 people, you're allowed to ignore any boundaries you like without question. On top of other crashers we had to ask to leave on numerous occasions. Maybe I should get paid to be a security guard. The DJ was cheesy, played music and REALLY bad mixes that seemed impossible to dance to. But the drunk douche bags that were dancing, seemed to manage it in a very Grateful Dead, whirling dervish kind of way. Picture them in business attire, giving you "come hither" looks and you have an accurate representation of the average patron. The bar in the back, where our party was at, ran out of basic things like mint. I asked for a Mojito. After being met with a blank stare by the female bartender (this was after failing to coax over another bartender who was apparently taking a break), I was told they could make it WITHOUT mint. Would that make it an OJITO?I know the front bar had mint. How hard would it have been to walk to the other bar and grab some? Oh yeah, and the women's room is TINY. If you want people to drink heavily, stay a while and maybe even dance, at some point they will have to pee. With a place the size of this, three stalls is really inadequate. There was a time that this was the coolest place to be seen. Well, those days have passed BUT this is still a decent jump off option for a DTLA night on the town. If you're over 35, this is can be a pretty depressing place, (--unless you're THAT guy) so come with managed expectations (Read: expect vomiting/crying 20-somethings, shameless twerking, selfie flashes etc). Not a fan of clubs with VIP areas and clubs that allows prostitutes. Smoky club!! The Patio is separated from the main room by a large open space. The wind is blowing and people are smoking so the entire club is filled with smoke!! To many times that night I saw security escorting smokers from the main room. However the setup allows this to happen. I AM NOT A FAN OF MALE SECURITY. THEY DAMPEN THE ATMOSPHERE AND MOST WERE BUSY CHATTING UP THE WOMEN. ONE WAS EVEN CHATTING UP A DRAG QUEEN. YIKES!! The Bartenders were great. All the females were dressed like hookers! Two strides and their dresses were right at the interface of hamstrings and buttocks! Is this the way women have to dress to show off on other women because it is fact that that you dont dress to attracted men any more. They all looked the same. It was a nice mix of patrons however why are women so cold if the object is go out and have a good time. My buddies were exasperated with the attitude. I can understand a lady not having the time to talk BUT TO LIE TO MY BUDDIES AFTER FIVE ROUNDS OF DRINKS. Not wonder men behave the way they do...LOL Bad, Terrible DJ. He was playing cover songs! Karla O. is right. Dinner is reservations only. We tried to get into the lounge on a Saturday night. We got there extremely early. 9 pm and waited at the front of the line. The security guy would NOT let us in at all. Unless we wanted bottle service. So we were thinking we'll do that just so we can get in. And he said we couldn't because all the reservations were taken already. WTF? Don't tell us we can get in if we got bottle service if there wasn't bottle service to be had! We got a table here this past weekend for a friend's birthday. Pros: 1) No line to get in! 2) Table right in front of the dance floor! 3) REALLY good music! Old school Hip Hop... so hard to find at clubs these days! 4) Smoking area is off to the side, it's ventilated so you don't actually have to step outside! (Think: Hakkasan Las Vegas) Cons: 1) There is nobody here! Dance floor was basically empty! 2) The crowd was either fobby or 30+ of age... do not dig 3) The bouncers are very strict on what part of the couches of OUR TABLE we can sit on. I wanted to stand and lean against the back of the couch, but within seconds, someone was tapping me on the shoulder telling me to get off. I also wanted to prop my feet up on the table to rest.. but NOPE! I mean, I understand, but geez... leave me alone! Overall, it was fun to check out but I don't know if I'll be back. P.S.
