Date night my sweetie. Friday evening. We were excited for live music but it was disappointing (sounded like meh karaoke). Not entirely the restaurants fault, but I wish they removed a table so people had more room to dance. I had several ladies' behinds in my face and touching our table while eating. Food: the appetizers were solid. The dinner left a lot to be desired. I had the T-bone steak and it was gross. Overcooked (medium well vs medium-rare), very thin, full of gristle, and I could barely cut it (edit: definitely not 12 ounces. Rip off). It's served on a wooden board that's too small, with the steak hanging off and dripping greasy sauce everywhere. Green beans were grossly sweet. The potatoes were stellar. My SO had the halibut and it was dry and his plate was lacking in flavor. Thumbs up to the crab cakes and ceviche tho!! Cocktails were very yummy too. Service: not great. Started strong but once the music started it went quickly down hill. Our table was only partially pre-bussed, so we both sat with dirty plates but also I didn't have a fork for when the entrees arrived. Server was nowhere in site, and I wasn't sure I could push past all the people dancing next to our table. My SO is a burly dude so he got up, pushed through, and asked for a fork from the bar + followed up asking about our drinks. We didn't get checked on most of our stay. Inside: it's very loud and echo-y, pretty bare but had interesting low effort lights. I was hoping something nicer to match how expensive the food is, and something that syncs up with the airport. My SO is a pilot, and we've been excited for the terminal to open up. We had briefly visited before the pandemic for lunch, and thought we'd give it another shot. It was really disappointing and super expensive for subpar service and food. I think it'd be good for a cocktail and appy at the bar. The waitress recommended the eggs Benedict. Excellent choice . The hollandaise sauce was spot on, the gas poached perfectly, spinach wilted nicely and pic added just the right amount of salt. It came with potatoes. I would recommend substituting for fruit as the potatoes were flavorless and a bit undercooked. The service was 5 star. The music perfect selection very clean and spacious. Indoor and outdoor seating available. If you're coming for brunch reservations highly suggested. I will definitely return for the wide array of cocktails and to try more menu items. read more

Elevation LVK is a concept I think would work at a number of smaller airports. Think about how many airfields there are all over the country. Elevation's strength lies in concept, in my opinion. The food was good, but the view was better. That tends to happen sometimes at a lot of places. You definitely go here for the ambiance first. The concept is simple: enjoy an evening out while watching small planes take off and land. For a smallish airport, there was no shortage of activity. The best part was that even though the window was open, it really wasn't that loud. It's a trendy place, that's for sure, but the view takes the restaurant out of the average zone and up a few notches. I had the white truffle risotto in an effort to have something different. I have to say, this was one of those times where I truly liked the mushrooms and thought they were perfect. Mushrooms are hit and miss and sometimes, preparation is everything. The only issue I really had was that I never got the advertised garlic bread, per the menu. It's entirely possible that they didn't have any and told me just as much and I completely zoned out. I had a bit of jet lag (is that cliche when you're at a restaurant attached to an airport?) so I could have been a little tired. But overall, it was good risotto and took care of my inclination for something different. I don't know when I'll be back in the area, but I know I won't forget Elevation LVK. What can we do to bring a similar concept to smaller airports on the east coast? I'm thinking closed windows, and there are plenty of options to try it out. read more

Came to try this place out on a Saturday night. Not many people at 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. There was a two-person band that sounded pretty good. The ambiance was great, watching the single engine planes take off and land. The service was good. But this is where I would suggest that the server ask how the customer would like their burger cooked. Well, it was served overdone, not juicy, not tender. I want to try so badly to say something positive, but ownership needs to know they're ruining a good thing. This restaurant has a unique location and an awesome venue for listening to live music outside on terraced seating overlooking the backdrop of the little Livermore airport and the south Livermore hills bathed in sunset colors. Sounds great, right? Especially on a warm summer evening with the best East Bay rock band, Salvage Title. The place was packed and ridiculously understaffed. One bartender. Three servers. And the kitchen had to be just as short-handed. We arrived at 7:00 PM for our reservation there was no hostess available and stood at the check-in table for 10 minutes until we finally flagged down a waitress and pleaded to be seated. After a short wait, we were able to place our order and wisely sensed the understaffing and put our request in for both food and drinks simultaneously. The drinks came in about 20 minutes. The food had not arrived after an hour and 15 minutes. This happened to everyone we could see there. At which point the lawn sprinklers went on which shorted out the electrical equipment of the band who packed up and left having only played their first set. At this point enough waiting and disappointment we walked out and told our server we were leaving and needed to pay for our drinks. He pleaded and miraculously found our food in the kitchen and delivered it a few minutes later. Thefood was good as we were starving so ate and promptly paid our bill. The server deserves a gold star as he was caught in the middle of this poorly executed staffing of a restaurant. Ownership how can you spend a couple thousand dollars hiring a top-notch band and not have staffing so you can make money at your excellent venue? Get the drinks flowing and get the food out on the tables by hiring enough people. How many times do you think somebody is going to give you another chance to revisit? And this is your busy season when the weather is nice. I hope you learn how to run a restaurant so that you take proper care of your guests and earn a well-deserved profit. read more

We decided to visit this place after reading about it in Pleasanton Patch. The vibe outside at the Patio was casual and chill! Everyone seemed to be having a wonderful time. There was live music which was catchy and fun. The owner was moving around from table to table, greeting everyone and chatting. Such a nice guy! The flavors of pineapple & lemongrass with Shrimp complimented each other very well! For mains we ordered the New York Steak with French Fries & Onion Rings. The steak was deliciously succulent and cooked to a perfection of well-done, just like we wanted! The Onion Rings were definately BOMB! Servers were very courteous and helpful. Our server brought a plate of tortilla chips & salsa for our kids, because the food was taking a while and our kids were getting impatient. So kind of him! First time here and it's so close to home. Nice hidden gem.... kind of upscale but no dress code or expectations for dressy attire. You get the dressed up folks to t-shirt and shorts. The vibe here is good. We came on a Saturday night with a local band (Foam Riders) playing 80's music. They were really good by the way - we were singing every song at our table and having a great time. It's kind of small indoors but they do have some outdoor seating as well but I'm not sure how much since we were seated inside. We were promptly seated and our orders were taken within 5 minutes of sitting down. We had a burger, filet and seafood, and lamb chops. The lamb chops were very tasty and cooked well. I like it a little fatty and it came just that way. Very tender and easy to eat with a knife and fork or fingers. Was not greasy either. The filet was ok and seafood good. The filet was cooked well however it just tasted like another steak. Presentation was good but the flavor didn't wow us. The burger was big. It was disappointing to say the least. I was excited to try, and was even thinking about hosting a work event here. I am so glad that I did not. I came with my husband and the kids. They had all the kids crayons and papers, but no, they do not bring them out for your kids. You have to walk over, request, and tell them how many pieces of paper you need...really? We ordered the lamb burger and halibut salad. They both were meh. The kids Mac n cheese were so bad, either of my kids wanted to have a second bite. The big beautiful bright windows with views of planes taking off and landing make this a great place to meet up for a drink or meal. I really enjoyed their breakfast burrito. I always order them without meat, and this one was bursting with good stuff and a tortilla that was perfectly toasted. I was delighted to spice it up with both red and green salsa and a generous amount of cheese on top. The service was confusing. We had a reservation, and when we got there we weren't acknowledged at all. Just 13 of us standing around as two guys behind the bar ignored us. There was only one person seated there drinking a mimosa, and she was waiting for US because she was with our party lol. That was a very awkward few minutes. Finally the guy who ended up being our server came over and I mentioned we had a reservation. It was at that point that they decided to get our tables ready. Our server warmed up about halfway through brunch, maybe he just isn't a morning person, IDK. A few of us had mentioned that we definitely needed to get dessert because we were celebrating a graduation. He got us dessert menus but his glazed over look and lack of enthusiasm gave some real strong "IDGAF what you're celebrating" vibes. Ok fine, he was our server not our BFF. The ganache that I had tasted old and very much like freezer burn. It was a total disappointment. I see so many wonderful reviews, but this was NOT our experience. And if there was just some small nits, I wouldn't give such a low rating but jeez, it was not good. Easter Sunday for a reduced menu for brunch, which is fine. I don't blame them since they would be packed. It looked like there were setting up for live music too and lot of outdoor tables, so could have been a fun vibe. We were there quite early though. My friend ordered a bacon cheeseburger, which, for some reason, came with a friend egg on it. I ordered quiche and a fruit plate. The quiche was cold. Not warm, but cold. Obviously not fresh. A table near us also ordered quiche and we asked if theirs was cold too and it was. So we flagged down the waitress to check if it was supposed to be cold and of course, it wasn't. So she took it back to the kitchen. After almost 15 minutes my plate was returned. My friend had already finished his hamburger so had to watch me eat. Inexplicably, it still wasn't hot, barely warm, so whatever, it wasn't worth complaining again at this point. And btw, it was horrendously over-salted. And the fruit plate had dragon fruit with the hard skin on, and (I think) a green papaya that was so under-ripe it was inedible, also with the hard skin on. This is plating 101, you don't put anything on the plate that isn't edible. I really wanted to like this place, and since we flew in, I'm sure we'll return and I'll update the review if the experience is better. The perfect place for a night out in the Livermore area! I visited Elevation for the first time to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday with his family. We made reservations online via OpenTable and were seated right outside to their outdoor dining area. It's pretty beautiful there, especially at night - there was live music and at the same time you could watch planes flying in and out of the airport. I was able to order their Elevation LVK Burger, and tried their oysters, chicken flautas, their baked artichoke and spinach dip, truffle fries, and sangria. The sangria was a 10/10, as was most of their appetizers. The oysters had a beautiful presentation and tasted great too. The burger wasn't too phenomenal, it was difficult to eat since the bottom was already soggy by the time it got to me, and the truffle fries were okay. Definitely come for their small plates, appetizers, and ambience! Service was maybe a solid 3/5, but that's okay. It is pretty pricy though, so come prepared! read more

I was in CA to visit family, with whom I haven't spent time for many years. My brother recommended this restaurant and it was truly a joy. I was here on 5/10/23, just lagging on posting reviews since I ate out so much! The restaurant shares space with the local aeronautics board. It's a futuristic building and the décor of the restaurant reflects its flight theme with photos and models of airplanes everywhere. There are large picture windows overlooking the runway, with nearby tiedowns of personal planes. A long view across the Livermore Valley to the nearby foothills make this a place where people seem to routinely comment on the view. Service was impeccable. We were a party of 10 and I always felt like everyone had enough time to peruse the menu, ask questions, and order at their own pace. My family can be quite rowdy but the people who served us (I believe one of them was the manager) took it all in stride. The food was out of this world. I didn't get to sample everything (some folks in my family forgot our time-honored tradition of sharing bites and selfishly ate their entire portions, lol). There were appetizers galore, and I did have a nibble of some carrots that were fresh and crisp. I can't eat a lot at one sitting, and I was really wanting calamari so I ordered only that, but it was enough for two meals! And here's a testament to the freshness and quality of the food: I reheated in the microwave for breakfast, and it was almost as good as when it was fresh. Everyone was delighted with their food, even my hard-to-please eldest brother (whose wife was a professional caterer). I shudder to think what the final bill was, because nothing was cheap and part of the family had two bottles of wine. ( Although, pls call to double check beforehand just to make sure the band is still on ) I did say family friendly atmosphere but its also super cool for adult time or date night. You can choose to sit inside or outside. If you sit inside, you will not be able to see or hear the band. I'm going to post what I personally experienced good and bad I will be using this the word FACTS a lot since it was used to me directly (actually in my face) I'll start off by saying parking was easy Venue is clean Customer service as far as waiters and servers are ready to serve and will accommodate a patron as best as they can A few days before the Mother's Day dinner my friend sent me the pre fix menu and asked me To place my order I picked the chipotle chicken pasta with shrimp I arrived at 6:50 I was seated and to my surprise my name tag and a beautiful flower was waiting for me (not provided by the venue) Dinner was not ready but that was OK Server asked me if I wanted to order something I said yes an Margarita on the rocks I got my drink and my receipt I immediately noticed gratuity is automatically added. Dinner was served about 7:30 or so I was served the grilled salmon with veggies I did NOT ORDER THAT entree (FIRST FACT) whether it was human error or computer error I DONT KNOW!! However I did take a picture of the grilled salmon as it was nicely plated and I DID POST ON YELP this is what I was served but not what I ordered!! ANOTHER FACT I communicated with my server that I didn't order grilled salmon he came back to me showed me a paper print out that had my name and grilled salmon next to it I AGAIN SAID OKKKK but I didn't order that I communicated what I ordered and in about 10 min I received my entree No big deal!! So I thought!!....,, The food was good and very tasty no complaints About an hour later I ordered a Margarita on the rocks I received my check to pay for my entree and my drink even though I still had not received my drink and aside from that there was a $10 gratuity added When I finally did receive my drink it was the wrong drink FACTS!!!!!! I had to return it And eventually I received what I ordered FACTS!!!! Not one time did I make an issue about the mix up with my entree or the mix up with my Drink or the added gratuity even though there was obvious issues!! Did I post on YELP a picture of the grilled salmon plate that I didn't order YESS I DID BECAUSE THAT WAS A FACT!! So when the owner approached me and thanked me for posting pictures on Yelp and went on to show me the same paper that the waiter did and POINTED to the print out with my name next to it that had grilled salmon as the entree telling me "ITS FACTS THIS IS WHAT YOU ORDERED!!!!"Ummm yeah!! That is NOT OK!!! He low key made a scene!! I had to repeat myself I know what I ordered!! You are pointing to a piece of paper that is entered by humans!!! I'm not going to argue with you!! I didn't argue with the server he ultimately served me what I ordered NO BIG DEAL!! But now you want to make it one !! This venue is for a specific AGE demographic of 65 years or older. Hence music that was wonderful played and the patrons that SHIMMY to it so beautifully The ethnic demographic was way off unless you include the table I was with !! ANOTHER FACT !!! As others have said the ambiance is nice and our waitress was very pleasant. My impossible burger was tolerable but under cooked. My husband's food was okay. If I can give ZERO stars, I would! The place with the airplanes was beautiful but the service of the restaurant was beyond horrible. We booked through open table for Mother's Day lunch at 12:30pm. We got there on time. They have a lot of parking space and the place was easy to find. We waited around 15 mins for a waiter to come to our table. We didn't receive the full menu. We saw others with things that were not on the menu so we asked for the full list and the waitress just read it out load. We didn't even receive a kids menu. No kids color page or crayons considering this would be a hot spot for kids to enjoy the airplanes while grabbing a bite to eat. We ordered the wings with buffalo sauce, crab cake, breaded chicken, pesto chicken, lamb burger, cheese pizza, and chicken tenders. Our order was in before 1pm. About 30 mins went by before we got our drinks. We asked about the food and were told it's about to come out. And we came when it got super busy. Now it's 2pm. I just got up and ask about the food, same response it will be out soon. We ended up getting our food at 2:30pm. The kids were so restless, hungry, and crying. The servers have no clue about the food the servers are serving. We asked if the burger was lamb, just to make sure as we don't eat beef. The server said I don't know. Which made me upset like you can give people the wrong food. Our food was cold, soggy, and hard. It seemed like our food was sitting out for a good 30mins before we got it. The bread was super soggy. The fries were stale. The pizza had hardened. We also had no utensils or napkins. When asked, was told they are rolling it up. 15 mins later we asked again and same response. Then someone just brought out napkins and a fork. I do not recommend this place. We were not the only people having this problem. Poor service, lack of Knowledge, lack of empathy, horrible tasting food. This was super disgusting for Mother's Day lunch. read more

First time here and pretty disappointed. Decided to come here for my friends BDay brunch, just three girls. Made a reservation in advance. Upon arrival, they sat us at a table in the blazing sun- no umbrellas! We asked to be moved under the awning but were told the tables under the awning were for larger parties. We asked for an umbrella and ordered sparking wine. The wine came out quick! But our umbrella was no where to be found. - 30 sweaty, hot minutes later it arrived. As we sat cooking in the sun, the three of us watched not one, but two other parties of THREE sat under the AWNING!!! ‍ About 40 mins and an empty bottle of sparkling wine later, our server finally came to take our order. We obviously were over it- asked for the check, ran for the exit and never looked back! To be fair, our server did explain they were short staffed, which is understandable. We arrived at 6:50 and the first thing we were told as we entered the restaurant was, "We close at 8." I asked to sit outside and was told no, that the doors had to be locked and cleaned up by 8. I'm writing this review for the experience. I've been excited to come to this restaurant for quite some time now, and I finally arrive with my boyfriend. Was looking forward to ordering some cocktails & steaks as a celebration of my recent promotion! We arrive and get to the front of the bar, where they have the menu digitally posted. Environment looked inviting at first, but boy was I wrong. It seems they are only doing outdoor seating, which is fine since it's a beautiful, sunny Saturday around 3pm. It wasn't busy, about 4 tables of customers. The male bartender sees us waiting and standing there, then proceeds to ignore us and serve some guests outside. So my boyfriend and I go outside and ask if we seat ourselves or talk to a host/server. We were told go to the bar and check in. So we go back inside, the two blonde female servers make eye contact with us and ignore us again. One of my/our favorite places I/we have ever been!! The specialty drinks were fantastic, the food was absolutely excellent!! Their ambience is on point!! Drinking great drinks, eating great food, listening to live music, and watching the planes fly in and out!! Just Perfection!! The owner is one of the coolest guys we have ever met, and he gave us a heads up about Halloween and New Year's Eve as being a huge party each year!!!
