[[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambiance?... really cozy and classy![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Food? Love the food and drinks! They serve big. The quality of the food exceeds everybody's expectations especially the spicy calamari, bone marrow carne asada, street corn and the steaks! Their molten cake is also to die for! Service? it's okay. Overall experience, really good!
Service was great, rating is just off the food. Portion size of the lamb chops was not something I was expecting for the price I was paying for them. I left still very hungry lol. Mashed potatoes were the highlight of that dish. Poke Tacos were a good starter. I ended the meal with the upside down pineapple cake (I think that's what it was called) which was pretty good. I have a big sweet tooth so I was happy with that. If I ever do come back I'm probably gonna order something different. Maybe the review will change then but for now this was my first impression.

The drinks are decent and the food on the most part is pretty good. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We go more for the ambiance.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]
We made reservations here for mother's day weekend, as my wife told me this was a sure hit from experience. There's a shared parking lot with a hotel, so things get pretty crowded. Even when there were open spaces, you could park there because a vehicle or 2 were well over the parking stall lines. There isnt any street parking in the immediate area, if im not mistaken so arrive with enough time to park somewhere. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There is outdoor seating available which was packed full of patrons enjoying their day.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The inside has a sleek dark supper room look and vibe to it. The people dining inside were even dressed differently from the outside guests.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We had some drinks that were reasonably priced. Not the best mule I've had this year but I cant complain.. We ordered the tuna tacos and crispy calamari for starters. Both were a great start to the evening. The tuna was fresh and the calamari came with a sweet heat sauce that left its mark on us.. my wife regularly orders lamb chops, so in comparison they held up in taste to many places but the portion size wasn't the heartiest. The salmon dish was a homerun and so was the jambalaya. Im a fan of wellingtons so I had to take the opportunity and I wasn't let down. They use a filet so the size cant be too big, realistically. Mashed potatoes and the sauce complimented the steak for a complete all around dish. We finished with a pineapple upside down cake. Dense but not too heavy with a nice sauce and ice cream on top. Very good experience and I didn't catch our waiter's name(an older latin gentleman) but he was very attentive and treated us like all stars. We appreciate the service he gave us and hope that every waiter lives up to the bar he set for us.
Service- the service was really good! Came here on Mother's Day for the brunch! Was sat quickly, waitress was very attentive and helpful! The vibe was really cool! Now to the food. They had a prefixed menu for the day which was cool. $60 a person basically. The Caesar salad was pretty good. I went with the French toast because I was having good decision struggles! I wanted it all!! The French toast was really good! I won't stress I had no protein to go with it! They mad French toast just how I liked it. My daughter has the steak, it was good to me. She picked at it! (It was $20 extra!) kids! It has a nice char and was seasoned well. My wife went with the street noodles with shrimp! I tasted it and it was really good! I would order that! The butter and bread was DELICIOUS!! Spa the butter then smash the garlic on it! You'll thank me later!! I would come here again and I recommend to any one reading this!

I knew it was a little pricey but didn't expect to pay $160 for 2 people. The customer service was alright, don't check much. The filet Wellington was cooked perfectly and tasted delicious. Tasted like thanksgiving. I got the lamb chops and they were delicious; i got them cooked medium. The truffle fries were good and the sauce was really good too. Also we got a Caesar salad to share as well. She got a sangria and i got a watermelon margarita both were very refreshing. Overall rating 7/10, we might be back. Ohhh one last thing , i booked the reservation through open table and had stated that it was her birthday and our anniversary and was curious if they did anything for that there. I went to the front desk towards the end it and asked for a dessert to be delivered, i left them with my card to act like i was paying for dinner and they charged me for the dessert, so assigning they don't do birthday or anniversary desserts unless you expect to pay for it. We got the chocolate molten cake that was recommended by the host and it was very chocolatey and rich with a very small scoop of vanilla ice cream. Most portions are small, the salad was the biggest portion size we got out of everything we ordered. It was good might be back for another occasion.
Our dinner group descended on Pleasanton Thursday night and enjoy dinner at Ruby's and Rose's restaurant. Our poop had a very nice table. There were seven of us and we could've used a little more space but they put two square tables together and see the one of our group on the end. Our server, Arturo was pretty good. He took our orders. He opened the bottles of wine that we brought with us and he also recommended some appetizers and drinks. Several members of our group had the old-fashioned, which was one of the signature drinks they had on their drink menu. We started off with calamari the poke tuna tacos and they were all delicious and I would definitely try them again. They disappeared so fast. I didn't get a chance to take any pictures. The taco order serve served with three tacos per order and the calamari place would rather large for appetizers. We had dishes ranging from myself, the jambalaya, my brother the lamb chop served with mashed potatoes, and some people had the Ramen noodles with shrimp and or chicken. Several members of our group also started off with salad and they split the salad, which turned out to be really big. Most of them were the Caesar. My jambalaya was really good. was a seafood jambalaya. It was also delicious, but I became full rather quickly and had to get the rest of it to go, which I thoroughly enjoyed this afternoon. All in all everybody in our dinner group really enjoyed rubies and roses compliment, not only the chefs and cooks, but also the staff, including our server Arturo. The ambience was really nice. Parking was ample both in front and back of the restaurant. The place was lit well enough and it looked really festive all around the restaurant inside and out. If you're ever in the Pleasanton area, I want to get a really good meal. There's many choices but I highly recommend that you check out Ruby's and roses and I can't wait to return.
Celebrated our anniversary dinner last night. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great decor and ambience! Had a Vegas vibe to it.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Started with cocktails. Asked for a sugar rim when offered but was given a salted rim. The vodka soda had no carbonation, yet asked for a new one and it was fixed quickly. Tried the calamari for an appetizer. It wasn't horrible but having so much chili sauce drenched on it, the pieces were a bit soggy. I went with the chimichurri lamb chops. Excellent sauce and cut. I substituted the potato mash with the duck fat potatoes. Again, not horrible but the potato cubes were a bit dry. Husband went with the Wellington. He's a big Wellington fan and said it was decent. All in all, good service, decent meal, and nice vibe.
I came here for a team dinner which was held in the back private room. Service was excellent and expedient. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Beautiful floral decor was on the walls and ceiling. Red chandeliers provide a nice accent.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The cocktails were interesting and had fun names. I had the yuzu flower which was refreshing and came with a cucumber slice. The menu was an interesting mix of American and fusion. We started off with the calamari which was sweet and spicy. Then for entrees, I tried the street noodles which looked so cool with the takeout box. It tasted good, but not as flavorful as I was hoping. The shrimps were a little dry. My team mates all really enjoyed their food. The Wellington looked good and so did the steak. I would probably go with a meat entree next time since that seems to be the popular dishes! We didn't try the dessert menu since we brought our own cake, but I would bet they have some good items here.
I've had this place bookmarked for a while and I finally got to try it. It's a beautiful space with a large outdoor seating area with heat lamps. There are several areas to take pretty pictures. It can get loud. I felt like we had to speak louder to hear each other, that it bordered on embarrassing. Lol Food wise, there were no complaints from our table. I had the beet salad with salmon. It was so flavorful and a really big serving. We also enjoyed the chili calamari. Portions were a good size and we all left with to-go containers. Street parking was challenging. We had to walk several blocks, but it wasn't bad because we got to check out all the other restaurants and bars along the way.
To be honest, this place really only felt like it was for the aesthetic and decor. The food was not bad but it was nothing to write home about and service was really odd all night. I came here for my birthday dinner with my family and I enjoyed the ambiance but that's about it. They forgot things multiple times, like bringing out the appetizer about 10-15 minutes after the main dishes (and having to remind multiple times), forgetting the coffee we ordered, not having any serving spoons, and also forgetting the receipt with our check. It was also not clear what came with the dessert and we had to clarify if there would be sparklers. I don't think I would recommend this spot, although the decor was definitely pretty. We ordered truffle fries, jambalaya, spicy pasta, and lava cake. Again the food good, but was quite average for the prices.

Zabi was our server and he was so great! He provided excellent customer service, which was much appreciated I wasn't too pleased with the amount of aioli in my power bowl. There was 'alot' and I was trying to pick around my bowl but it wasn't very good. I told him what happened and he offered to have the kitchen re-make it. That was very nice. When it came back, the aioli was on the side instead. Much better and I barely touched it cuz it was so rich. We recently celebrated a bridal shower at this beautiful restaurant. We got there nice and early with staff ready and happy to help with anything we needed the room was already set with tables and settings. We added our own touches and when we needed help moving or adjusting they were glad to help right away. The food was also pretty good. Especially the garlic noodles, the presentation of each entree was gorgeous. And big enough for family style sharing. I would love to visit again for dinner read more

The crispy calamari was the perfect mix of sweet and savory, and the creamy jambalaya was absolutely delicious with just the right amount of spicy kick. Came here for a girls' night out and overall had a nice experience with a few mixed feelings. We had reservations, and when we arrived the hostess let us know they normally require 75% of the party to be present before seating. However, the manager was very accommodating and let us get seated anyway--especially after I mentioned I needed a drink ASAP. That gesture set a good tone for the night. The ambiance is definitely a highlight. The restaurant has a modern, upscale vibe with sleek seating and luxurious ruby-colored chandeliers that make the space feel fun and elegant at the same time. We started with a bottle of wine from Wood Family Vineyards in Livermore. It had a nice woody taste, which we really enjoyed. Some of the girls ordered cocktails as well, and they all looked beautifully made. For appetizers, we shared the calamari and truffle fries. The calamari was a bit too crispy for my taste, but the sauce on top was nice--slightly sweet and sour. The truffle fries were flavorful, but a little disappointing since they weren't hot or crispy. Most of the group ordered entrées, which looked good, but I wasn't very hungry and ordered from the appetizer section instead. I went with the poke tuna tacos and asked if they could do four instead of the standard three. They were able to accommodate, though it came out to $25 instead of $19. The poke tacos were decent. I also shared the bone marrow carne asada with one of the girls--it was okay, but didn't seem to have much actual bone marrow, though there was plenty of meat. We finished with the lava cake and ice cream. It was fine, but nothing memorable. One thing that really surprised us was seeing gratuity taxed on the bill. I've honestly never seen that before, and it definitely caught us off guard. Outside, the restaurant has a nice logo display that's perfect for photos, definitely IG worthy. I wouldn't mind coming back to try other menu items, but I'm still a bit taken aback by the tax on the gratuity. Overall, a nice spot for ambiance and drinks, with some hits and misses on the food. read more
This place looks so charming from the reviews and website ... I am sad I couldn't give more than a 3. I think for the price of the drinks and food I expected more. I came here with a large group and they were already seated when I arrived however no one ordered food yet so I was ordering with the large group. However, my food came out DEAD LAST ... it came out even after people got their re-orders from food they didn't like. I didn't want to create a dramatic issue but honestly think a better apology or explanation would have been better than, oh your ticket slipped and fell. REALLY? That was a huge turnoff and makes me wonder if that's true as my order was on a ticket with over a dozen other ladies. I ordered the wings and waffle. The waffle came with a glob of cold butter and cold syrup. One of the other ladies had gotten the same thing and asked for warm syrup which I was able to get to try and use to melt the butter. Still didn't work. I think the wings were good... crispy, tasty but the waffle was just so so. I could make this waffle at home. The portion sizes are decent. Now for my drink. I ordered a lemon drop with Titos - $20? That's a lot. I can almost buy a whole bottle for that price. Service was subpar. I think the ambiance and decor is nicely set up and the free parking that is ample is nice but I won't be rushing back anytime soon. Finally found a new favorite restaurant in Pleasanton! I've been seeing Ruby & Roses pop up on my feed for a while, and my best friend and I love trying new spots. We ended up celebrating my birthday a little late here, and it was absolutely worth it. The restaurant itself is beautiful--my friend took so many great photos. It has very romantic vibes, but I was also surprised by how many larger groups were dining there, like work teams out for dinner. There are so many photo-worthy spots throughout the space. Now, let's talk about the food. I started with a glass of Pinot Noir. The truffle fries had great flavor, though they could've been cooked a bit longer. That said, the Caesar salad was incredible. It's so hard to find a restaurant with a truly good Caesar dressing, and this one nailed it. I'm literally craving it as I write this. We split it as an appetizer, and it's a generous portion--if you order it on your own, definitely add chicken or salmon. For our mains, my friend ordered the blackened salmon and I had the lamb chops. The truffle purée and potatoes that came with the lamb were a bit too salty for my taste, but the lamb itself was cooked absolutely perfectly. The blackened salmon was also a hit--no misses there. We were both very happy with our dishes. We finished with the molten cake, and I asked nicely if they could add raspberries and almonds, which they happily accommodated. Overall, this place still deserves five stars. There were a few minor things I would personally tweak, but we'd absolutely come back to try more dishes. That Caesar salad, though? Stopped in for a cocktail with a friend. We enjoyed the vibe of the restaurant. Service was excellent! One of bartenders, Arturo was kind enough to share a taste of the watermelon juice (that he had freshly squeezed in the morning and no sugar added) for their Watermelon Margaritas. Food was delicious! The little Chinese food box is odd to have on the plate- I get it, it's a design/plating thing but it was wasteful because you don't use it as a to go container. So anyway.. Went here for my wife's birthday dinner. Ambiance was good. Food and Service was underwhelming. Food * Filet Wellington: 4/10 * Garlic Lovers: 7/10 * Tamale Ravioli: 7.5/10 * Old Fashioned 7/10 * Sidecar 3/10 The staff upfront was friendly and nice. The seating arrangement was good and comfy. Definitely cool building design. I would have preferred a different server, the times I tried to talk to him he would freeze up and avoid eye contact. Got to the point where I would avoid talking to him and I would talk to other staff members to order. Additionally I mentioned ahead of time that it was my wife's birthday but that was never mentioned, kind of disappointing for a "nicer" place. Also had to ask multiple times to get my sidecar cocktail. The highlights I would say were the garlic bread appetizer, the Old Fashioned and lastly the Tamale Pasta which was very unique. The Filet Wellington was not good. It said it would come medium rare and it it was either rare or blue, parts of it inedible. It was also under-seasoned. The Demi Glace was okay, but wasn't flavorful as a typically Demiglace would be. The mashed potatoes tasted mainly of horse radish. The Sidecar was not balanced, i needed to squeeze about a full lemon to get to be drinkable. 2/5, wouldn't really recommend this place for a celebratory occasion. Maybe just drinks and snacks. We had a holiday party here and they did a fantastic job taking care of us. The restaurant itself is very cute and charming. The service was quick and smooth. The food was solid and delicious. The calamari was tasty. We had a fun mocktail that was nice and refreshing. I had the street noodles. Which was their take on garlic noodles. Very cute presentation. Only thing was, the spice level was different between 3 folks. My coworker had a super spicy one. Mine was a bit bland, while my other coworker had a very well seasoned looking one. Still had a lovely time, and would recommend for a group gathering and great spot for pictures. read more

I finally made it to Rubys and Roses. Ambiance was everything I hoped it would be, both inside and outside. I typically choose to sit outside but have gotten in the habit of asking about the presence of bees which seems to be an issue in Pleasanton and the hostess said to expect bees if seated outside. We arrived about 11:15 am on a Saturday and there was no one else seated so I hoped service would be quick but that couldn't be further from my experience. Instead it seemed like there was large party that I couldn't see or hear. Server was very slow to come and take our order and the food came out even slower. We ordered the calamari to start which was good but not as crispy as I would have liked. My daughter had the chicken and waffles which were pretty good but not something we would run back for. And I had the short street noodles - delicious and I would definitely return just for that. For the prices, I expect far better service. read more
First thing I'll say... this place is nooiiiicccee! Moment you walk in it feels sexy, elevated and classy! But it doesn't just look good, food is amazing! Went with a group for brunch, we got cocktails, apps and mains. The bone marrow carne asade and bao sliders is a must! For food definitely get the street noodles, so much flavor in that! Staff was always quick to refill our water and remove dirty plates. Overall, this is definitely a spot you wanna save for date night! read more
The ambiance of the restaurant is truly spectacular a true gem to take pictures at. I got myself the French toast and while it was delicious it came out alittle cold not hot like I expected it to be which was a little disappointing. My friend got the chicken and waffles and said it was delicious chicken but waffles were a little dry. The drinks came out perfect though and we even had a little appetizer of truffle fries to share. The servers were attentive and caring so they did try their best with giving good service. The overall experience was 8/10 recommendation . I think it's a great spot to go with girlfriends and take cute photos I'll say that! I'll maybe go again but for dinner next time read more

I have been here 3 times now. The service is always great. The servers are knowledgeable and if you don't know what to eat or drink they can steer you in the right direction. The atmosphere is always great. The indoor and outdoor seating are both great options. The picture areas don't get too crowded. The parking is easy. The crafted drinks AND the mocktails are great. If I had any complaints they would be the following: 1-I would not order again is the grilled cheese. It's essentially an overpriced everyday grilled cheese sandwich. 2- the bathrooms are unbelievably and uncomfortably small and I'm a small person so that says a lot 3-they do not sing happy birthday when they bring out the birthday surprise so if your on a date you have to sing alone read more

Came here to celebrate my friend's birthday. We had a group of 10 of us. The service was good. Well taken care of. However, we were a bit surprised when there was a "gratuity sales tax" on top of the 20% gratuity and regular sales tax on our receipt. The drinks were delicious. Could have been a bit stronger. We got various apps around the table, but the bone marrow was my favorite! My friend and I shared the French Rib Eye. We asked for medium rare, but it was cooked more towards medium. Still was yummy. Outdoor seating is so comfy..... sipping my cocktail on a sunny day under the big tree with some breeze ~~~~~ incredible Service was prompt! The hostess came to greet us even before entering n the door and seated us right away. I ordered Cajun fettuccine Alfredo and cocktail and I enjoyed both.!will definitely be back soon. I had been planning on having my birthday dinner at Rubys & Roses and it never happened. Today was the day and boy it didn't disappoint. The ecstatics were beautiful, our server Brayden was the best. I had the street noodles with shrimp, a mojito, a delicious lotus butter sundae, and the surprise chocolate cake. The street noodles were spicy, mouth watering, and pleasing to my palette. In an effort to celebrate my 6th wedding anniversary, I wanted to find a nice, local restaurant to have dinner with my wife. We've always been a fan of the Pleasanton area as it's easy to access and offers a good, low-key nightlife community. I decided to give Rubys & Roses a chance as it offered outdoor seating and has a great ambiance. My wife and I love dining outside and they had availability for a Saturday evening! The restaurant is easy to get to off the main street and has ample parking in the back. The hostess seated us immedietly and our waiter brought out our alcoholic beverages and water quickly. The old-fashioned was really good and comes in a special chilled box; quite the presentation and a show stopper for the whole table. Well worth the $22. The food menu is simple yet excellent. There is something for everyone. We ordered the poke tacos for appetizer (3) and I had the veggie plate for my entre. The portions are large and very satisfying. Overall, very happy with the experience. The food was delicious, the staff was friendly and fast and the pricing was more than fair. If you're looking for a restaurant with good photo opportunities, Rubys & Roses is a good choice. I look forward to coming back! read more

Yes, but there may be a wait. I made my last minute reservation on Open Table, I'd recommend looking there. Enjoy

I don't really know since I wasn't looking for the vegetarian option. I'm sure that the restaurant would have something vegetarian but I can't say for sure. It was protein heavy.

Not really. There is an outdoor patio, so they may let you keep your pets, but it's definitely not as welcoming as Lazy Dog, for example.
