Great views, weird neighbors, and bring quarters! We stayed on the non-marina side because someone said the fishing was better over there. Spoiler: it wasn't. Pretty sure the fish took a vacation. Or maybe they just hate us. Getting to the other side of the reservoir felt like a side quest in an off-brand video game -- bumpy roads, no idea how far we were actually going, but somehow it took forever. Definitely earned our snacks that day. We were off-grid RVing and used solar -- plenty of sunshine (yay Colorado!), and the panels worked great. Bathrooms were drop toilets (two in our loop), surprisingly clean for what they are -- rustic but not revolting. We drove to the shower house and THANK GOODNESS we had cash because it was $1 for 4 minutes, and you bet we were in there with a full stack of quarters like it was 1995 at the arcade. Clean showers. Flush toilets. Glorious. Some quirks: - Our fire ring looked like it hosted a frat party the night before. Lots of ash, trash, and mystery items. - Patrol truck drove by once at 8:30pm and then vanished into the night like a park ranger ninja. - Two entire families camped in the parking lot overnight. With kids. Just chilling. Not in sites. Just... existing there. We're heading back soon but staying on the marina side, because we enjoy actual campsites and the illusion of order. ‍ Overall: beautiful location, lots of sun, potential for fish (maybe), and absolutely bring quarters if you enjoy hygiene. read more

Unbelievable scenery and for a whopping 10 dollar day pass, you can't beat it. We drove the entire way stopping several times to take in the beauty. Lots of places to pull over and have a picnic, stretch your legs and just relax. The road needs to be graded, lots of washboards that will just about shake you out of your vehicle, which is why I only gave 4 stars. Well worth the visit and will do it again!! read more

Absolutely gorgeous basic camping spots. Peaceful, beautiful with literally 360 degree views of lake and mountains. Clean restrooms, very convenient and clean shower facilities & laundry at office building. A few caveats: many of the spots have no shade, you may want to check first. The lake doesn't allow swimming. The Marina only rents pontoons and fishing boats (we wished we had brought or could rent a kayak) -- also, water pumps are pretty sparse, bring water or jugs to fill. read more

Only camp here if you don't mind hearing camping neighbors playing their loud music. On my 2nd day (booked 4 days) a family who were tent camping moved into their spot next to mine and immediately cranked up their music as they unloaded and set up camp. I asked them not to play music, the male was rude and said he was going to play his music. I go camping to hear nature, not someone's music. The park office said they allow people to play music except during quiet hours, 10pm to 6 am. My choices were to listen to his intrusive music or leave, so I packed up and left. read more

The camp ground is a nice set up with no shad. It is more for RVS and you know if your in a tent, you hear all the utilities going. You can fish in the lake but I didn't see anyone catching anything.The ten mile road was hell getting there and I mean hell. When addressed basically blew me off, we can't do anything about the road. I had been to every place in and this was the worse welcome I have had. Again the road was HELL. read more

Can you say gorgeous? I was so excited to spend sometime at Eleven Mile State Park. It was an early morning and long drive but so worth it. There are multiple camp sites and a wondrously beautiful lake. You can purchase an annual or day pass. We purchased a day pass for $9. There are information signage in the park about prices and places. We basically had the entire area to ourselves. Some of the areas are private property and marked accordingly. We fished for hours and didn't catch one fish. The sun was so bright, the slight wind and the calming water was gorgeous as I peered in the distance to see the mountains. We just sat for a moment and enjoyed our time. There are also restrooms available in the park and plenty of places to walk. read more

We stayed here in May 2021 and of course, it snowed :). Colorado weather! The RV park is very clean, and we really enjoyed how close we were to the water while also having amazing views of the land around us. The prices are reasonable, just keep in mind on top of the spot fee you are also paying a fee for EACH vehicle. We didn't think about that. And be mindful of the road leading out to Lake George....definitely could use some repaving! So, go slow! Update May 2022: Came back in May of 2022 and 2 feet of snow came! May in Colorado! I have stayed at this State Park both in an RV and in a tent. Both times were great! You do have to pay an entrance fee each night you stay, plus what you've already paid for your reservation. I just want to let you know up front to be prepared for that charge once you arrive. A few things about the reservoir facilities, you WILL need cash (low bills or quarters, there's a machine in the restrooms by the office to get quarters for low bills) to shower. It costs 4 quarters/minute. The water does get warm after about 30 seconds so don't worry about having a cold shower. The restrooms are cleaned every single morning, closing from 0730-0830(times may change, that's just what they were when we stayed last). There is a marina store if you happen to need essentials, they do charge a bit more than normally grocery stores as you can imagine. There are toilets (no sinks in those, so bring hand sanitizer/water and soap) placed sporadically throughout the Park, so you have access to closer facilities rather than having to walk all the way to the front entrance in the middle of the night. The scenery is absolutely beautiful! This last time we stayed three nights in our tent, it rained each evening, but it was a light, cool rain. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. I recommend staying here if you want to explore a little of what Colorado has to offer! read more

What an amazing find for our annual camping trip! We try to make 1-2 camping trips each summer, and this place is my favorite one so far. As everyone in Colorado knows, campsites are hard to come by, so make sure to reserve early! We stayed in a tent near the water and our view was absolutely amazing!! I wish we had chosen a lot that was tent sites only, because there were mostly RV's with generators running all day and night long, which kind of took away some of the magic, but all in all, we had a great time! We stayed in North Loop A and there was a little store located at the marina where we could get ice and firewood (and really anything else we forgot to pack) and everyone working there was super friendly and helpful. We took our kayak out a few of the days and stopped along the way to hike on the beautiful trails nearby. Next time, we're definitely bringing our mountain bikes and snatching up a backcountry camp site, for more privacy and a more rustic feel. This whole area is perfect for stargazing and each night we got quite a show of shooting stars. The bathrooms were very clean and there were enough throughout the park that there was never a line. We will absolutely be back! read more

The older Caucasian man working the cashier at the marina store on Wednesday 7/28/21 was rude and racist. The rest of the marina workers that helped us with our pontoon rental were nice and helpful. Inflated prices at the store. Campground was clean. Bathrooms are dirty. Lake was gorgeous. Wish they had water hookups and a dump site. Terrible roads driving there. FYI you still have to pay a daily park fee even though you already paid your reservation online. Lots of bugs and mosquitos as well read more

My husband and I stayed at Stoll Mountain. It was absolutely beautiful. We were water front and it was fabulous. We were in a camper and it was our first time without hook up. It was the best yet! I highly recommend this camp ground! read more

Summer and winter ice fishing is awesome adventure here at this lake, trout is bigger here than antero lake, but not as much bites. Beginning of January its really cold to ice fish, but an wonderful experience. This one has a $8 park fee. read more

This is a beautiful valley Reservoir. The best way to view the mass is to drive in from florissant as if you are headed to hartsel. It's just beautiful. Not a whole lot of trees but again the vast mass of water makes up for what the eye can see. I would highly recommend a picnic meal here. Take your lover, take your kids or come alone and find the peace that comes with the bounty of nature. You should not regret the trip. read more

What a great place for a day trip. I kayaked the entire lake and enjoyed every minute. Will definitely be back.

The good, the bad, and the ugly... The good: This is one of the most beautiful places to go camping. Great fishing and scenery (make sure your camera batteries are charged). The bad: there is nothing within 20 minutes besides 2 camp stores with really inflated prices (8a-6p maybe depending on the day). Bring EVERYTHING you need. The showers were closed 3 out of the 7 days I was there. There are absolutely no fires (even charcoal). Granted it is windy as heck. Gusts up to +60mph. TENTS NEED TO BE RATED FOR THAT. The ugly: The ladies in the front office! Terrible attitude and down right rude. I am a disabled veteran and Purple Heart recipient and when I asked about free parking (everywhere in Colorado has said don't worry about it when I tried to pay) THE SUPERVISOR got an attitude with me and walked away from me while I was talking. I wasn't upset by their policies. I was upset at the way she handled the situation. I spent $230 on camping and that didn't include parking. $63 for parking. In total, almost $300 to camp for a week. BOTTOM LINE: Once in a lifetime experience and that's all it will ever be. read more

Very beautiful park. 360* views. We stayed there for a week. My only downside was we had a site by the water and the bugs were ridiculous. So when you come camping make sure you bring some bug spray and some type of bug zappers. I can't stress this enough. They have showers but you have to pay .25 a minute which I'm not complaining just FYI. The marina is expensive so it might me cheaper going to the general store. We look forward coming back for more adventures. read more
