Eleven is the only optical I use since I first discovered this place 4 years ago. The owners are very attentive and patient. They never make you feel like you have to purchase anything. My husband and I have purchased glasses here multiple times and would never go anywhere. When I used to purchase/order glasses from other known opticals, they don't always make it correct and you have to wait weeks. I've always shopped for sunglasses here since they carry Korean brands that are difficult to find elsewhere and it fits my head very comfortably. I recently got new prescription glasses done with Eleven and I was so pleasantly surprised. I love my Carin frames. It looks good, it's lightweight and it fit me well. But the part that really sold me was that they were able to get me my custom prescription completed in 30 minutes!!! If you go elsewhere, it takes places like two weeks to get this done. The man helping me was also very thorough making sure I liked the fit and checking how I normally wear my glasses. The frames I got were not cheap but I think it's worth the money. But please keep in mind that they carry a variety of frame options to choose from so the prices will vary depending on what frame you get. I was long overdue for a new pair of glasses, but kept procrastinating because I generally prefer to wear contact lenses, and I have never found glasses that I like (in my entire life!) I think part of my problem was that I previously bought frames that were not designed for Asian features. I am really glad I went to Eleven Optical -- the selection is amazing in terms of style, size, fit, material, and price point. They have a lot of frames that are displayed by brand on the walls, and even more options in the drawers underneath. After trying on about 20 styles, I narrowed down to 4, then 2. As another reviewer mentioned, the atmosphere and lighting is really nice and bright, and it was easy to try them all on (I even took selfies and sent them to my friends to get their opinions). I was worried that I was taking too long, but Chris (owner) was very patient and gave me a lot of space to try on at my leisure but still offered to provide recommendations and answer any questions. I ended up going with a with a lightweight titanium frame from the brand Vedi Vero, and high index, anti-reflective, scratch-resistant, UV-protective, and blue-light blocking lenses. They are super lightweight yet durable and fit perfectly. Chris was able to make them in about an hour, and they were able to use my HSA debit card. I had a really difficult time deciding between the final 2 frames, so I will probably go back and buy the other pair soon (the styles are completely different)! Overall -- great selection, price range, atmosphere, customer service, and experience. I highly highly recommend!!! read more

I normally don't write review but this was a must! Before moving to Washington, I went to their California location in Artesia. Initially, I didn't know they had a location here in Washington until I did a quick yelp look up for optical locations near me. And look! My favorite place to go to has a location here! I was so happy because they usually get my glasses done same day which is a huge thing for me. They have cute styles for my flat bridge nose and it's the perfect size. This was seriously the best experience I've had getting glasses. They have a great variety of styles and price points, a clean, brightly lit interior, and really friendly and helpful staff. This may go without saying, but being located in Hmart, they serve both Korean and English-speaking clientele and seem to juggle large volumes of people seamlessly. I was never talked down to or made to feel like their priorities were elsewhere, even though the couple times I went in they were fairly busy. A lot about the process of having lenses and frames fitted and insurance reimbursed was explained to me that I hadn't known before, and the service was always kind and totally knowledgable. When I initially made my purchase, Chris offered to measure my current lenses and fit them for my new frames because I didn't have access to my prescription at the time. He let me know that if it wasn't correct, I could get back in touch with them. So, when I finally was able to view my prescription and the measurement was in fact a bit different from what I needed, I emailed the shop and they invited me to come back in so that it could be fixed for no additional charge. I was honestly pretty surprised that they didn't ask me to purchase anything more (lenses are expensive!) and was really happy with the care I received. Plus, I got to stare at some buns over at Le Bon while I waited, so that's always a plus :-) Hopefully I don't need new glasses again anytime soon, but if I do, I'm definitely coming back here. They're kind, smart, and attentive, and I would strongly recommend this place to anyone. read more

Hidden gem for sure! I've been to many independent retailers but the service, selection, and experience was top notch. Different styles at frame prices from $50-$200+. Great lens options and very affordable. Typically you see your optometrist outside and bring your prescription to them. They can make your glasses in house same day, usually within 1 hour! Just an FYI, they don't carry brands (Ray Ban, etc) but they have a huge variety of unique and fun styles. I had a very good experience with Chris. I stopped by randomly one weekend while waiting for the Mrs at h Mart. I didn't have my prescription on me but Chris offered to ship my glasses to my Tacoma address for free when completed. I cannot say enough about Eleven Optical! They are hands down the best optical that I have ever been to. Just as the other reviewers are saying, Chris, the manager (?), is genuinely kind and thoughtful. I purchased a pair of glasses with transition lenses but with little miscommunication, I ended up with a pair that wasn't transition lenses. I contacted him and he immediately re-ordered the right ones. He even offered to have me bring in my other pair I purchased elsewhere, and not only did he adjust it for me but changed out the nose rest pads to make it more comfortable. Their main store is in LA, but all their stylish, amazingly light weight, sturdy glasses are manufactured in Korea. At the store, there are so many options to choose from and the prices are reasonable. Hidden gem! I've been to 3 Costco's and 2 independent optometrists looking for glasses that can fit a wider face with a lower nose bridge. The prices are fairly reasonable compared than other places and they offer a variety of lenses. The glasses were prepared and ready in about 30 minutes to go home with me. I had just left Alderwood Optical trying to find frames that I liked, but the person who "helped" me there was really pushy and demanding trying to force the sale. I immediately left and came to Eleven Optical! I was able to try on so many different frame styles to see which I personally liked best (all without being hassled). The owner was super friendly and engaging when I asked for help, explained everything in a very clear way, walking me through my options and made the process relaxed and so easy!! I loved the variety of frames they had to offer, prices were so reasonable and customer service was beyond what I could have hoped for. Most single vision glasses he is able to do same day, but since mine were progressive lenses, they had to be custom made and was quoted just under two weeks (which is way quicker than any other pair I've gotten at other places).
