Had this on my list for a long time and decided to knock it out. I couldn't possibly have gone to the same place as these other reviews because this was far from what the overhyped reviews made it out to be. Meatballs: absurdly, comically overpriced. $9 for two meatballs that were, no exaggeration, maybe 1.5in in diameter (they fit on the tablespoon with room to spare). They were two bites each and that was being generous. As an amusing comparison, the meatballs at Azzurra Italian (fresh in my mind since I recently ate there) in Henderson are $12 for 2, and are easily 4 to 5 TIMES the size (no exaggeration)...and much better. The meatballs were fine but honestly nothing great. Saganaki - tasty but heavily loaded with jalapeno and heat. 2 tomato slices and 1 medium sized slice of cheese on it. Octopus - smallish portion of mainly just octopus slices and onions. Not super flavorful, mildly fishy taste. Chicken souvlaki - happy hour $12 for 1 small skewer of chicken and a handful of French fries with a dollop of tzatziki. Tasted fine. Chicken was moist. Beet salad - very tasty. Assorted beets and some herb leaves. Not terribly large, but that's the theme with everything at this place. Roasted chicken - half a chicken and literally 1 potato sliced into 4 pieces. $32. Chicken was insipid and overcooked. Pricing ridiculous. Seriously, 1 potato? Would it break the cost matrix at 32 bucks to add maybe 2 more potatoes? Dessert - the phyllo and creme dessert and the orange cake. Both excellent. The highlights of the meal. Overpriced at 13 and 14 dollars, but very tasty. Bread - server asked if we wanted bread... brought two stale pieces of store bought bread with some olive oil. Greek salad (I forget the name) - no idea since the never brought it. Didn't charge me though. Overall, the strong points here were the service, which was attentive and friendly, and the desserts and the beet salad. The pricing is just beyond ludicrous though, especially for the portions. Been to a ton of other restaurants and frankly, even with the overall absurd base level of pricing places are getting away with these days, this place is over the top. Food was overall mediocre and criminally overpriced (with tip and one $16 cocktail, the bill was just shy of $200). I remember when restaurants charged a moderate markup over cost of ingredients...now apparently half a chicken and 1 potato costs 32 dollars. Be serious. Not sure where the hype is from, even discounting the very obvious fake Yelp/Google etc reviews that so many places have. Not terrible but not impressive. Not a return. read more

For years, Elia Authentic Greek Taverna had been on my must try list! I was thrilled when I could finally try it while in Las Vegas on a Wednesday evening! As soon as my husband and I entered, the ambiance of the taverna felt very inviting and casual! Our server was great the entire time during dinner! Helpful and friendly! We began our meal with an appetizer of roasted feta and tomato. What was surprising about this appetizer was how hot it was! it had a definite kick from the heat. Under the tomatoes was where we found the fresh chilies and they added much more heat than I anticipated. The heat was too much for my liking but my husband loved it and finished every last bite of it. I had the chicken souvlaki as my entrée, however I chose to have it with the feta dip instead of the traditional tzatziki sauce. It turned out to be a fantastic decision. The chicken was extremely tender and full of flavor, and the addition of the feta added a wonderful, bold, tangy flavor to the grilled chicken which I dipped into the feta! The side vegetables were yummy too! I was so happy that I was able to make it to Elia Authentic Greek Taverna after having this location at the top of my list for so long. The quality of both the food and the service as well as the friendly and welcoming ambiance all combined to create an excellent overall dining experience! My family had an amazing dinner here. We ordered the beet salad, the Tsipoura a sea bream, and the lamb chops -- every dish was fresh, balanced, and clearly made with care. The lamb was perfectly cooked, rendered and so very tender. The Tsipoua was one of those specials you wish they kept on the menu permanently. Even the beet salad stood out, which rarely happens. My 9 year old love the red and saved the golden ones for me. We also had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Keiti, who was warm and welcoming and made the whole experience feel personal. Another excellent visit. A few of us came for a happy hour night. I love that they have it everyday. We sat in the bar area and had a nice comfortable table. Our server was also the bartender and he was very nice and efficient, he explained the wines and food on the happy hour menu. We ordered a whole bunch of stuff to share. If you have ever been to estiatorio Milos, Elia is a Berger version all around due to its better prices, better service, and it's not on the strip! In fact, one of the owners is a former GM from Milo's and brought with him some of the best menu items: Tzatziki with zucchini chips (although it's not in a tower but who cares), char grilled octopus, branzino and more. Elia Authentic Greek Taverna is a very good Greek Restaurant located in Summerlin. They have very nice things on the menu that you don't find at many of the other Greek Restaurants. They also have a large wine selection and offer Greek varieties of fish and offer other nice dinners. They start you off with complimentary house baked bread and a good quality olive oil. We started off by sharing a beet salad and a roasted feta. The beet salad was very good and came with a little bit of skordalia dip. The roasted Feta also was a treat. It came out on a sizzling skillet like a fajita. It was also embellished a really great thick slice of sweet roasted tomato and also came with slices of hot and medium sliced peppers. This was really tasty. For our main we shared the Fagri (special Greek Fish) served table-side with fancy vegetable and a sauce. It wasn't perfection but was reasonably good so I didn't feel the need to complain. I told the waiter it was good. The service was amazing here. We had an incredible waiter that knew everything about all the food and was also very helpful. They also had a very good busboy that cleared every crumb as soon as there was one. My husband and I decided to check out the Happy Hour at elia Greek Taverna (off of Sahara) since I love Greek Food and have been looking for a place that is authentic like when I went to Physical Therapy school in Scotland and there was an authentic greek restaurant, "Christos", close to my school. I've been dying to have Halloumi, which is a grilled cheese dish where the cheese does not melt, but browns up like I used to have at Christos and elia has it. I loved the Halloumi and my husband also thought it was really good, but he's never had it so he had nothing to compare it to. We also ordered the Greek Meatballs in tomato sauce off of the Happy Hour menu and it was fantastic! For our main course we split the Lamb Souvlaki plate and that was also super good. We love to try new places and this was so fantastic we visited twice in two weeks! The service is five stars, we had the same server both times who was very nice and efficient. The host I think was an owner who seemed to know and hug everyone. Very welcoming atmosphere. The drinks from the bar hit the spot! They nail my dirty martini, super cold and extra dirty. My fiancé ordered their version of an espresso martini which is super strong but not bitter and perfectly sweet. Both times we ordered the fried zucchini chips with tzatziki sauce which is next level! So crispy and perfectly salted with a fantastic tzatziki that's not too garlicky. Literally obsessed with these chips! On our first visit we ordered the octopus and grilled feta apps which were both nice but not our favs. The lemon potato side dish was so yummy! We also loved Maroulosalata with all the lovely dill and ordered it our second time for a "veg". On our second visit, we decided to try the halloumi cheese that a compote that was spicy and sweet. The calamari app was perfectly coated and seasoned. The meatballs were nice but after such bold flavors, it paled in comparison. We saved room for dessert on our second visit to try the Ekmek Kadayıfı a custard with shredded phyllo! Delicious! The waitress suggested we pair it with the Greek "port". In a weird roundabout way, I got to taste a bunch of options off this menu and WOW - We had ordered a giant order through DoorDash for a big birthday dinner & somehow got somebody else's giant order - my hungry hoard had torn into two of the bags and opened things before we realized what happened - I believe she was the owner or manager but the woman in charge took care of the fix at their expense which was incredible but because of this mistake, I was able to try stuff that we normally wouldn't order and I'm an even bigger fan of this restaurant now and I actually wanna go back this weekend because I am craving the orange cake....it was dream worthy. The grilled octopus I have never even had octopus yet that was awesome - spanakopita best I've had crispy crust, herby, flavorful, spinach cut up so that you didn't get big strips of it... Perfection; the fresh thick tzatziki sauce - chefs kiss; the shrimp pasta -10 out of 10; even taking this order to go the zucchini chips were so crispy; everyone's meals were spot on nothing was overcooked. This was quite possibly one of the best meals I've had in a while and we took it to go so that's saying quite a bit. Desserts.... We have been here many times and it always exceeds our expectations. The service is always great and they have the best Moscow Mules in Vegas. We are always seated promptly and all of the servers are great. Our server (Preston) explained any specials they have. They always have quite a few fish choices. We had a small tomato salad to start and then my husband had the shrimp entree (don't as me to spell the Greek names!!), which is always just wonderful. I had the halibut which was served over a bed of tomatoes, onions and capers. It was my first time having this and I will have it again. We didn't have desert this time - but have had in the past. The 2nd one down on the desert menu is unbelievable!! This is a great place for a lot of entree options and some truly great food. We go here a lot and of course will return. read more
