My husband and I stopped here for a lunch date while I was in Dallas for the weekend, and it ended up being the perfect break from the heat after a morning of shopping. I started with an Old Fashioned and an order of tzatziki as an appetizer, and both were excellent. The tzatziki was fresh, creamy, and full of flavor, making it a great way to start the meal. The drinks from the bar were delicious, we ordered 3 appetizers (beets/hummus/saganaki) and shared swordfish......I couple of minor pet peeves - there were a lot of flies in the restaurant, I'm guessing because they can open the walls to the outside? My family and I came here after spending an afternoon walking around Bishop Arts. We didn't have reservations and had about 6 people in our party. The host sat us quickly and moved several tables around to accommodate our group. We sat inside because it was a bit warm (and loud) outside. It was very comfortable and the servers were very friendly. I ordered the chicken souvlaki. The serving size was quite generous with deliciously flavored potatoes, well grilled chicken, and a fresh side salad. Everyone was pleased with their meals. They also had delicious cocktails. Food was definitely 5/5! Service was about a 3/5. Menu boasted a variety of tasty sounding options, including a lot of seafood and dips. Would have been easy to just have all the dips/cold mezzes for a meal. Between 2 people, shared the santorini, swordfish souvlaki, grilled vegetables, and potato wedge/fries. The santorini had great flavor and texture. The swordfish was excellent and super tender (which I don't think about when I think of swordfish). Grilled vegetables and potato wedges were both good in texture and flavors. I would get all of those items again. Service wasn't up to par. We were seated at the bar because we did not have reservations, even though there were a lot of empty tables. We felt like we were pretty neglected at the bar and multiple times, the bartender and server in that area were just on their phones. This new restaurant is in the space formerly called Nora (they've moved) with a lively patio on a corner. It was hot so I wanted something light and I couldn't have been happier with my mixed mezze platter of cold spreads and warm pita. You get four different spreads and all of them were delicious and different from each other. The tzatziki was possibly the best I've ever had. The beet was creative and refreshing. The atom labneh had a slight kick to it. And the eggplant was divine. My date had the beef souvlaki was fantastic and fork tender. Our waitress was Fresia had not only tasted everything on the menu but really likes the food so she was super helpful giving us a great experience. We went super early on a Wednesday. Usually when you go to the restaurant off time you get mediocre service. NOT HERE . They were so welcoming and took amazing care of us. We got the pistachio martini and the coffee martini to start. Then apps were the beet puree, the spicy hummus and the seafood salad. While all were tasty, our fave was the hummus. I really wanted to try this spot ever since they opened. Its super cute and has a great location. I found the service ok and the food also ok. With the price being up there it didnt really seem worth it. For the same type of food and hookah, you are better off going to the mayors house. Its not far away and way better. Then I opened the menu and winced. $25 for a beef gyro and no lamb gyro in sight? Chicken's only a dollar cheaper. The server bragged the portion was "huge," but I don't want a trough--I want a plate I can finish without a take-out box. Pan-seared shrimp: $30, farm-raised, parked on bean purée and a side salad. Food cost maybe $10, yet they slap on a $20 vanity tax. Every entrée feels like a 50 % gouge. Drinks are saner--$14 cocktails--but beer's inflated. I blame the rent. I nursed a German lager that was legitimately great, yet even with the cool room and friendly staff I couldn't hit "order" on dinner. Really liked having a late lunch early dinner here on a Saturday. We sat outside and enjoyed music from nearby eateries and people watching. The bartender made a nice mocktail and the price was actually reasonable ($7). I had the octopus first and it was Delicious! So moist and flavorful. I loved the octopus so much that I ordered the orzo (because it had octopus in it) and it was also great. I look forward to trying more menu items. I was excited to try this restaurant, but unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The food was mediocre and didn't stand out compared to other Greek restaurants I've been to. What made the visit worse was the environment. There were flies flying around our table throughout the meal, which was unpleasant. It was also extremely hot inside the restaurant. It seemed like the AC in the section where we were seated was either broken or turned off, making it uncomfortable to enjoy our meal. I had the chicken souvlaki. $24 dollars for one skewers worth of chicken, a scoop of rice and a small side salad was disappointing. There was a 10 minute wait between when the first plate was served and the last, our party of 5 got to watch everyone's food go cold before the final person got their meal. The drinks, while tasty and unique, seemed to not have much of substance about them. The server did not catch multiple items ordered, and when asked about them again they wouldnt take it off the check, they just brought it to go after we were done eating, when it was asked for with the food. They seem more focused on making the place photo worthy, but they could definitely improve the service in the front of the house. read more

Early dinner on a Friday evening was a truly lovely experience. The ambiance is wonderful ~ you really feel like you're dining somewhere in Greece with warm and inviting servers. The food was simply delicious. We started with one warm and one cold appetizer to accompany the fabulous bread and olives and olive oil they brought to us right away. We had a dry white wine from Greece that was light and lovely too. For our entrees - I had the lamb shank on orzo - so tender and flavorful - definitely falls into the "I could not or would not make this for myself at home category" ! Friends ordered the grilled shrimp - truly a gorgeous presentation with 6 or 7 very large shrimp and a generous side of a yummy fresh kale salad. Another ordered the moussaka and devoured it.
