We came here for a dinner date. Food: We started with the tri mezze cold appetizers, consisting of hummus, baba ghanoush, Fire roasted red pepper dip. WOW. My favorite has to be the eggplant as it was packed with flavour and second favorite was muhammara. The consistency of the dip was so creamy and smooth, and perfect amount of spice and sweetness. For entree we had falafel, which was so crispy on the outside and filling was very finely minced. The chicken was soft and very nicely roasted, the combination with rice and salad made it a very filling meal. For dessert we had the traditional dessert, it was slightly overfried but the combination of cheese, sugar, cardamom was a dream. Portion sizes are generous. Service: 10/10. Waiters and hostess were very polite, constantly checked in on us, gave great suggestions. We were seated very quickly (had made reservations). They were vigilant about filling our waters, offered complimentary tea, and changed out our utensils and mats when it got dirty. Amazing service. Felt Michelin star. They were all delicious! For entree, my husband got salmon shish. It's good but a bit dry. I got the adana kebab, sooo goood! My husband really liked mine as well. Very flavorful and has a small kick of spice- I would order this again! My friend gave me his white sauce that comes on his plate because he can't have dairy- I think it's tzatziki sauce? Anyways, the sauce doesn't come with the adana kebab plate but they taste really good together. Wanted to try a dessert but was too full for it. Parking at 6pm on a Saturday was easy. I heard there was a new Turkish restaurant in town and my friend booked her birthday dinner there. As soon as I walked in I was in awe of the setup and atmosphere. I met the owner who embodies elegance, grace, and hospitality which reflect Alania. My great grandmother is a Turkish Cypriot so this felt like a slice of home. The service is solid, and we were given a complimentary Turkish tea on a silver platter at the end of the meal, a delightful experience in every way: Food: - Mezza trio with atom, roasted eggplant, and whipped feta was amazing, fresh and vivid punchy flavors and textures from every dip, coupled with freshly baked pita-like bread, crispy outside and soft/chewy inside, every bite a treat. - Alania salad was fresh and delicious, a colorful and tasty combo of fruit, veggies, and greens, perfectly dressed. - Lamb Shish was tender and delicious, perfectly cooked (MR) and seasoned, perched on seasoned white rice which was also flawlessly executed, with a fresh tasty side salad to boot. Service: Laid back with a bit of manana attitude, fine if you're not in a hurry. Generous with bread refreshes, and complimentary tea service at the end of the meal, the cherry on the top of a first class dining experience. Vibe: Bright open spaces with lots of natural light, especially so in the inside area next to the patio to the right as you enter. The vibez, service, and dips were the star of the show. If you get anything let it be their dips with amazing pita breads. The food tasted very fresh and simple. Flavors were great but what really blew me up were their dips! The waitstaff was great at giving recommendations. I could devour gallons of the Anotalian Ezme and Muhammara. I love Mediterranean -- actually, it's my favorite food. So imagine my surprise as I was driving by and saw this place -- they'd just opened this week (05/18/2026). I made a quick U-turn, and I'm glad I did. The greeter greeted me before I even walked through the door, with a genuine smile. The staff, in general, are sincere and made it an absolutely wonderful experience. Very attentive and accommodating. "They good people," as we say in the South. Thought was put into the atmosphere, from the melodic playlist playing in the background, to the art pieces on the wall, and the selection of modern, deco-functional seating (looks good and comfortable) -- not to forget the bar, being equally aesthetic. I had the Salmon Bowl for lunch, with a bed of seasoned rice (you can eat it alone -- for real, for real!), and an accompanying salad that was dressed to perfection -- no side dressing required! The salmon was seasoned and roasted on an open flame and had the perfect spice-char balance! Public Service Announcement: The Salmon was cooked to perfection, and was not dry! This speaks to quality of salmon and the Chef's skillz! That is all, resume reviewing. Then there's the accompanying "Turkish Boom Boom Sauce" (closest I can describe it) -- is phenomenal. Honestly, I had one of those moments where I loved both options -- the "seasoned enough" spice-char straight off the flame, in culinary collaboration, or drizzled with the Turkish Boom Boom sauce -- so I did both! I finished with a cup of Turkish coffee served with a Turkish Delight on a literal "silver platter" - this was an unexpected surprise - one of those moments where "i never knew I liked that" surprise - felt all "phistcated and what not" Actually, presentation from entry to plate is impressive. The chef prepared the dish with culinary precision and plated with finesse, crafting a memorable experience. They "did the thang,"y'all! Alaina'e cuisine, hospitality, and relaxing ambiance make for a signature dining experience, whether enjoyed alone or with family and friends. I'm excited to find a spot that gets my thumbs off Uber Eats and my butt seated at the table. That's no easy feat for someone that loves convenience. Lovely space, fabulous warm service and delicious food! We had 3 in our party for lunch and opted to share mostly appetizers. We chose the muhummari, whipped feta and heydari for our mezze platter. It's served with hot and spectacular pide bread that is made in their stone oven. All 3 were fabulous. We also got the halloumi and by the time we finished these 3 yummy dishes we were fairly full. But couldn't resist getting the Kunefe for dessert which is like a flan with a pastry crust that makes it taste like a toasted marshmallow! Cane with complimentary Turkish tea. A chance google search brought us to this gem on the edge of downtown Dallas. We arrived at the unconventional hour of 3:30 hungry after a trip to the Dallas Museum of Art. From the minute we walked we knew we had scored! The ambiance is elegant and subtle in earth and gem tones that is very inviting and calming, particularly loved the organic linen napkins and fresh flowers on the tables. The open kitchen invited you to enjoy the authentic Turkish grill. The staff was warm and truly enjoyed describing and suggesting dishes we might like. Service was 5-star and the dishes arrived in beautiful synchronicity. The food, while the prelude above presaged good things, the dishes were way beyond my expectations. First to arrive was the Charred Halloumi. You have to try this! Off the charts wonderful. Next came the Grilled Broccolini which was fresh and blanched and grilled to perfection. Our food tour guide Alania suggested the Mezze Trio of Whipped Cyprus Feta, Anatolian Eme, Pink Sultan. I will be dreaming of the Anatolian Eme for sometime to come. These three starters were accompanied by a basket of the most divine Pide (puffed beaked bread similar to pita but WAY better) and served hot from the oven, divine! Next we had an oven baked Pide with delicately spiced ground beef, grilled onions and finished with fresh lemon, loved this!! Finally the Crisp Falafel Fritters and I have to say once you have these fluffy versions of this well known dish you will be spoiled. They are exceptional, made with fresh garbanzos and flash fried they melted in your mouth and the tahini yogurt was a perfect paring. Finally dessert. I am telling DO NOT pass this up. I ordered the Traditional Kunefe, a symphony of delicate flavors unlike anything I've ever tasted. I'm not going to ruin the ending by revealing to much but this is a show stopper! I can't finish this review without mentioning again the lovely reception and service. All at Alania made us feel special despite arriving mid-serving time. Everyone was warm and gracious, taking time to say goodbye. From the minute we arrived to leaving this experience will go down in my book of eateries and one the top 10! Going to start off by saying my girlfriend brought me here (and she's a picky eater) so I was a bit surprised by the suggestion. But from the appetizers to the entre, dessert, and wine, we were absolutely blown away. Everything was absolutely unbelievable and left feeling my money was most definitely well spent. Don't even get me started on the service, it was incredible. The two gentlemen that served us were kind, funny, and extremely helpful. The desert he recommended, the Traditional Kunefe (which I personally never heard of or tried before) was absolutely magical and life changing. A wonderful experience! Four of us decided to try Alania Mediterranean Grill for the first time; the atmosphere is welcoming, tasteful, and modern. The owners greeted us and made sure we felt welcome (and this was during a busy evening). Our waiter was attentive and friendly and he steered us to an excellent Turkish wine pairing with our food. The mix grill was a yummy choice to be able to sample the savory spices and various dishes (Lamb kabob is incredible and the chicken so tender...it was all very good). we also started with Muhammara (which should not be missed) and ended with Kazandibi (a dessert specialty which has a toasted sweetness that is just right). I ordered the Shrimp Shish as main dish and my friend ordered the Chicken Adana - everything was fantastic and very fresh. The QR code on the menu includes pictures of each dish if you aren't as familiar with Mediterranean food. We finished with the best Pistachio Baklava either of us have ever tasted. Nice ambiance and the owner was so kind and courteous. Generous portions big enough to share or take 1/2 home.
