Overall this place was decent but probably won't come again. The service was the best part, they're very attentive. The food was good but definitely pricier for other similar types of restaurants.

I came in for a date night and we were promptly seated for our reservation by someone who I believe is the manager (Mallory?) and she was absolutely amazing throughout the entire night. The food was delicious but service was the slowest I've ever had so it greatly affected our first experience here. I'm not sure if this was because of restaurant week but service at other restaurants I've visited during RW has always been great. To start, we were sat down and nobody came to our table for 15 minutes, not even to bring water, so I spoke to the hostess to let her know. Our waiter finally came and she was sweet but not attentive at all through our dinner. We were there for 2.5 hours, waiting a good while in between courses. Others around us were also getting irritated - another couple left after having been seated for a while and I believe changed their minds after talking to a couple beside them who definitely looked annoyed by the long wait times. A few tables even asked to have the remainder of their upcoming courses packed to go because of this. We were given complimentary champagne and mussels for the initial wait after being seated but service sadly fell short from there. Like I initially said, Mallory was amazing and the food was delicious but the overall service experience needs some work.

Really great service and the food was phenomenal! Highly recommend. They're new and we're not busy, but they should be once word gets out!

The food was wonderful. Very creative concepts. Chef Michael is very talented and Eli's Table is a wonderful addition to the Charleston Dining experience. The jazz music playing in the background and the way they made every guest feel like they were the only one was very nice. The beignets were amazing!!!

OMG.... What an incredible breakfast place! We were lucky to find this restaurant so we made this our morning breakfast spot during our visit to Charleston. We were greeted and shown to a great table in front of a window. Jess B, server, had greeted the three of us. Jess, very personable, had went over the menu. I had ordered the Two Eggs Your Way and my friends had ordered the Crab & Egg. While were waiting, Jess, would cover and chat with us. Within a few minutes, our meals were delivered. All of our meals were good size portions and seasoned just right. With my meal, I had a homemade biscuit with an incredible jam that we couldn't get enough of. Jess was so nice and gave us a complimentary order of Beignets with the same jam. The Beignets were out of this world. The dining area is well lite and inviting. I would highly recommend this restaurant for the food and service!! Thanks again, Jess for the incredible service.

We were drawn to Eli's Table as there was live jazz on Friday and Saturdays. However, it was a gentlemen playing the keyboard. No singing, only live music. It was still very nice. The service was very friendly, our server Raymond was welcoming and made out night! We stopped by after dinner for a night cap and live music. We ordered the southern Gentlemen drink (which was made with Bourbon) a, a fruity non alcoholic drink and beignets, which is a speciality of this spot. Wow the beignets were delicious! I'm still craving it today! Overall, the service was too, Raymond was the nicest! The music was relaxing and the beignets made my night!

    What are the vegan options?

They have quite a few side dishes that are vegan acceptable, but the only dish they have on the menu I know of that is vegan is their vegan risotto.

Do they have a happy hour, if so what is on the menu?

Happy hour is 4pm-6pm. During happy hour, they offer a three course meal (appetizer, main course, and dessert) all for $30!

To start Abigail, our waitress, was attentive, helpful, super sweet and just about the best waitress I have ever had. My wife and I ordered a round of cocktails, expecting the usual great description with subsequent lack luster drinks. Last night was different, midnight bloom which is their take on an old fashioned, but really in a different league; Smooth complex, and satisfying. My wife got the Ruby Ruby which is sort of a pomegranate martini with champagne. Refreshing and vibrant. For appetizers we had the blue crab fritters and the pork belly. The fritters were crispy, light, and full of crab flavor. Virtually no filler. I could have eaten a hundred. The pork belly was crispy, and rich without being too heavy. They also serve it in a white sauce that I was still thinking about the next day. For entrees we got the Roasted grouper and the pork shank. The grouper was maybe a bit overcooked and dry, but the accompanying butter beans stole the show. The were rich, and layered with flavor. I will never see the simple butter bean in the same way ever again. The pork was fall off the bone tender without being dry. The sauce it was served in was a masterpiece. There were hints of apple, berry, cinnamon, and many other notes, I would drink it by the glass if it was available. We split the gelato for dessert. Pure delight. Smooth, bursting with flavor, and leaving you wanting for more. All in all, except for a small misstep with the cook on the grouper a near perfect dinner. I would go there soon because a Michelin star can not be far off, and then getting a table will be a near impossibility.

Dessert: Chocolate Crunch Cake. Our server, Lillian, was really helpful with dietary restrictions and menu recommendations. Thank you for a memorable meal. If the dining room wasn't as loud, this would have been a 5 star review.

Honestly, it was so difficult to choose what drink to get because I wanted to get everything on the menu. The bartenders were so attentive and talented - their implementation of each cocktail was even better than the menu descriptions. Not only were the drinks delicious but also beautifully presented. You can tell the bartenders know exactly what they're doing. The surprise star of the night, though, was the grilled cheese. Calling it a grilled cheese almost feels unfair because this thing was next-level. Perfectly crisp on the outside, rich and gooey on the inside, and paired with the cocktails so well that we were talking about it long after we left. Sometimes the simplest thing on a menu ends up stealing the show. The atmosphere strikes that perfect Charleston balance of classy, cozy, and effortlessly cool. Great service, great drinks, and one of the most memorable grilled cheese sandwiches I've ever had. If you're in Charleston and appreciate a serious cocktail program, The Gin Joint is a must-visit. Finds your table, if you arrive early for a reservation we had luck with them seating us and he says a kind goodbye as we left each time. Nice list of 3 mocktails so even if not consuming alcohol one can look to play the part at the table and enjoy the flavor notes of a well made cocktail. The first meal we had was a bit of a work/get together meal. We ordered an assortment of items off of the menu and created a more tapas menu. The charcuterie board we picked the cheeses for and it was lovely. All as expected and quite surprised to find a cheddar I enjoyed. Came with some grapes, figs, nuts, honey and I think mustard. Glazed carrots were phenomenal. Heartily enjoyed the beet salad and thought the presentation was quite pretty. Lamb lettuce wraps are alright. Not my favorite of all the dishes served but delivered as promised, nicely cooked and presented. Spouse really liked the lamb wraps and were a stand out dish to them. Meatballs are excellent truly great texture and flavor. Escargot was a fun take on a classic dish. Finished with a unique strudel in its presentation it was quite pleasant. Spouse liked the peanut butter chocolate dessert. For brunch, I had the carrot ginger soup. Which I must say was a total delight. The soup had the hallmark texture and base flavor of the carrot ginger but it had a beautiful breath of savory and some heat seasoning wise to it. It was quite an elevated soup and heartily enjoyed! I followed the carrot soup with a French toast. I am all for softly scrambled eggs but the French toast was a touch undercooked. (I did not let the restaurant know or give them the chance to make right. I regularly eat soft boiled eggs and soft scrambled so I felt comfortable with consuming them.) Strawberries were ripe and tasty. The whipped cream was gorgeous in thickness and flavor. One in law had the caesar salad with croutons and grilled chicken. Their bowl was left clean so while they are not the talkative of sorts they did seem to enjoy it. Ordered a baguette with butter. Unfortunately the butter never made it to the table but the baguette was enjoyed. Spouse had the Azur burger with the side of tapas style potatoes. All was cooked properly to temperature and texture. Flavor and taste as promised. Wasn't their favorite dish at Azur as we had tried so many lovely dishes a few evenings before. But it did deliver on what was represented in the menu.
