    The entry.

The service was amazing and the food was delicious. The bar had top end whiskey, tequila, all of it was superb. Our bartender Candace was so cool we came back for brunch. I hope she's working if you grab a seat at the bar. The views of the marsh from upstairs is amazing. They also made an off menu item for me. A fried chicken thigh in a buscuit...OMG

Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. The drinks were great as well, and the service was top notch. I really liked the steak and eggs and my child Really enjoyed his yogurt bowl.

Linnette's was truly one of the highlights of our stay at The Dunlin -- every dish was beautifully prepared and absolutely delicious. We started with the heirloom carrots and roasted cauliflower-- both so flavorful and unique. The braised Snake River Farms short rib was melt-in-your-mouth tender and so delicious!! Another evening we tried the Wagyu cheeseburger and Caesar salad, and they were just as impressive Desserts are a MUST! The atmosphere is elegant but relaxed, with charming décor and warm service that makes you feel immediately at home. Whether you're staying at The Dunlin or just visiting the area, Linnette's is absolutely worth a special night out.

The brunch was fantastic! The chocolate chip pancakes were a hit at the table! The whole menu, you cannot go wrong with such a variety to choose from. The staff were very friendly. The color scheme inside the restaurant, gave costal beach vibes- perfect for photos.

Beautiful restaurant with direct Kiawah River views. The service and staff are friendly and attentive. The food is beautifully presented and the kitchen is taking great pride and care that guests are happy. Linnette's is a newly opened dining venue within the Dunlin Resort ~ an Auberge Resort *****~Linnette's is on my list as a regular place to have a nice relaxing meal!

Linnette's is a gorgeous place to meet up with friends for drinks and a meal. Located on a resort, there isn't much to do after or before visiting the restaurant. They had complimentary valet parking. The service was wonderful and the drinks were powerful. The tricky part for me was that since we went during restaurant week, we got a great value for our meal but while good there just wasn't anything I would say someone had to get. Definitely a cute spot though.

Don't listen to the bad reviews, we almost did. So glad we came here for dinner. Drinks were excellent and well balanced, the roasted oysters were out of this world, and the radiatore ragu dish needs to never leave the menu. Ambiance is adorable and our service from Jordan and support staff left us eager to return. What a great cap on our trip!

Wonderful in every way! Our family of 8 went dinner at Linnette's tonight to celebrate my husband's birthday. The atmosphere was beautiful, the service was great, the food was delicious. We couldn't ask for better service. We even had our busy 1 year old grandson with us & they were so kind & helpful with him. This was truly a beautiful, special experience. And we got a beautiful family picture after with stunning scenic views.

Vibes on the way home. Lots of bird artwork.

We celebrated my partner's 30th birthday here on a little date. Since we were not staying in the Dunlin (the hotel that Linette's is inside of), we had a little bit of a trek from downtown. Definitely be careful if you plan to drive at night, because the roads of John's Island are DARK. If I had the option, a 6:30 reservation would have been great to catch the sunset and get home before it got late. Beautiful atmosphere but not too stuffy. My partner described it as "coastal chic". Whatever you want to call it... the food was wonderful. The hamachi tuna was good, the warm crab dip was good - it was a little chilly by the door with the door open so "warm" was exactly what I needed. The steak was incredible as well.

    Husband's fav a juicy burger!

The batter was crunchy, and perfectly applied so you didn't bite into a hunk of just batter. Likewise, the sides were some of the best I had during my trip to SC. The fish and grits were ok. They too were bland and needed salt. A LOT of salt or any other seasoning. The okra, Lima beans and corn that come in this dish also tasted like it came out of a frozen bag. There is no seasoning in this dish whatsoever. Unfortunately this place was a miss and we won't be returning. Also the bathrooms look like a porta potty. You know the cheap plastic that porta potties are made out of? Yeah that's what the stalls are made out of. It looks so cheap and a big contrast from the rest of the restaurant. The staff was nice but they also look like they hate working here.

This is definitely more of a hole-in-the-wall local spot -- not fancy at all -- but the food was really good and such a nice break from the expensive resort-area restaurants. My husband ordered the fish and chips. It wasn't a super traditional fish and chips because the batter was a little different than expected, but the fish itself was delicious. In fact, it was good enough that he brought the leftovers home and finished them the next day. We also tried the coconut shrimp appetizer. Again, not your typical coconut shrimp presentation, but very tasty. I ordered a club sandwich, which actually wasn't on the current menu anymore but had been on the old menu. They were happy to accommodate the request, which I really appreciated. One daughter got the handmade gnocchi with shrimp and absolutely loved it, and my other daughter ordered the sloppy joes and cleaned her plate. This year we were able to snag a reservation for the four of us at 4pm on a Wednesday. I was so excited to try this buffet. Yes, it is a little pricey, but I was ready to indulge and make the price point worth it! We got there about 5 minutes early and we were let right in. The kids were given a scavenger hunt where they had to find turtles with letters on them and then unscramble the word. That was very cute and kept them busy for a bit. I went right over to the oyster section where fresh oysters were brought over to high top tables. A lovely worker taught me how to properly shuck an oyster and I felt like a pro. The oysters were DELICIOUS, and I made sure to eat as much as I could as I am the only family member who eats them. The rest of the family spent their time at the BBQ section. I did as well. I had the salad, corn muffins, ribs, roasted chicken, dirty rice (which was A+), and so much more! Oh and I also had the seafood boil. The food is good, but to be honest - with all the other delicious spots for this kind of food in the area it was just not up to that standard. Also, the dessert section was lacking. Mostly pre-made desserts with a little ice cream cart. The kids loved it, but it was just kind of meh for me. I do have to say - I am SO glad we did it. I think it was a great experience. The views were amazing. The whole idea is so very fun. The live entertainment was great. And the staff went above and beyond. This time around I was dining with friends, which meant we got to order a whole bunch of dishes - a foodie's dream. It was rich, flavorful, and while the presentation looked a bit like dog food, it was otherwise the perfect way to kick off the meal. For the table, we also shared the Roasted Carrots, served with chamomile honey, labneh, puffed rice, candied peanuts, and an olive crumble. I know, carrots aren't always a "must-order," but trust me - they were fantastic. We also couldn't pass up the Hearth-Baked Skillet Cornbread with Broadbent bacon crumble mixed throughout. Southern comfort food!!! For my entree, I ordered the Blueberry & Corn Salad, which was anything but an ordinary salad. Between the BBQ pecans, ricotta salata, bacon fat honey mustard, and fresh seasonal ingredients, every bite was packed with flavor. One friend ordered the Yellowfin Tuna Crudo with compressed cantaloupe, marigold, and leche de tigre. It was bright, refreshing, and beautifully plated. Our other friend opted for the South Carolina Golden Tilefish, served with Kindlewood Farms summer squash and serrano, and it, too, was a hit. Those of you who aren't familiar with the band I suggest you give a listen to their album Midnight Marauders. The very next song played was equal in its mellow vibe, and thats exactly the atmosphere that Lost Isle has created. In fact, the team there mentioned that the playlist was carefully curated to create such a vibe. Upon entering the parking lot, a dirt and gravel parking lot, it doesn't look like much. Another one of the empty or almost empty buildings along Maybank highway. There is a handwritten sign that informs the guest to come around back from the left-hand side as the right hand side is an employee entrance. Once you get to the side of the building you start to have a slight idea of what's going on. A white wooden pergola-like structure with benches to wait for a space to open up, tall green plants line the walkway of bright white rocks. That quickly opens up to a large area full of tables and two bars. One is the drink bar, where they have a full selection of beer wine and spirits, as well as other non potent potables. 12 or so flat metal stools line the customer side of the bar. The other bar has less stools, maybe 5 or 6 but behind the bar is a wonderfully large outdoor grill that is used to grill their succulent fare. The remainder of the late space is filled with lots of tables most four tops with a few 2 tops scattered about. They are resting in several inches of white pea size gravel. An interesting fight fact is that the chairs have tennis balls on the bottom of the legs and it keeps the chairs from sinking too deep into the gravel. A small thing to be sure but a big thing when it comes to comfort! Whilst sitting at a table canopied by tall leafy trees, and kissed by the whisper of a breeze coming from one (or two) of the many strategically placed fans, you feel like you are in a quiet Caribbean island. It is a chill, relaxed vibe. While the atmosphere is smooth and mellow, the flavors coming off that grill are a bold contrast. But before we delve into the succulent delights let me first talk about the size of the menu, 4-6 appetizers (small plates), 4-6 entrees (Mains) and 4-5 shareable sides. No need to clutter up a menu nor one's thoughts perusing a phone book size menu. Small menus are the way to go; do a few things and do them well I say. Lost Isle does them well. The table ordered a few small plates of fire roasted olives with grilled bread and wood fired clams. Marinated black and green olives grilled had a great smoky, briny taste. Served with a few pieces of grilled bread and some confit garlic. Smearing the bread with some of that creamy garlic clove invoked the memories of a smoky garlic bread; a perfect complement to the olives! The wood fired clams were cooked with a chili-chorizo butter, garlic, and smoked bread crumbs. This was an explosion of flavor on the palate brightened by the juice of lemon, and was in a word, delightful. We then shared a Main of a grilled ribeye steak. Nothing on the earth was made to be cooked on open flame then a ribeye steak! Served to us at a perfect temperature (medium rare as there is no other acceptable temp) and a beautiful dark charred crust, it was a spectacle to behold. Rounding out the dish was a generous amount of Chimichurri and more of that beautiful confit garlic. One thing some people are in sorely in need of learning is that slicing a piece from a large hunk of beef and subsequently easting that slice with a sprinkle of salt seriously enhances the experience. This is why I was delighted by a tiny ramekin of sea salt. The steak was delicious. I would be remiss if I didn't mention the beverage program at the previously mentioned bar. A small but serviceable wine list is available for consumption. Average print on the bottle about $44 and no bottle more than $72. Certainly a bit under some of the more extravagant list on the other Charleston area restaurants. A great variety of cocktails fill the house cocktail lists one particularly caught the eye of the table, the Sheeney Neeney. They were also able to make classic cocktails as the vodka sodas also being consumed at the table. A few mostly local beers round out the cocktail menu. A few things that you will also need to know is that there is no real table service, you approach the bar and order your beverages, your card is entered into the system and then you tab is started. You then can order your food at other bar, given the moniker of The MC. Then you return to the table. As the dishes are completed someone will bring it to the table. We were delightfully surprised at the experience and not a negative word was uttered regarding any aspect of the meal or the experience. I recommend it for anyone looking for a few hours of repose and repast. Take it upon yourself to stop by, where one can be only minutes away from home and thousands of miles away at the same time.

Amazing dining experience in John's island! We've been wanting to try this place for some time now,…read moreand it absolutely lived up to the hype. It's all outdoor seating, so watch the radar. They have bar and table seating available. The service was great from start to finish. They have super fun cocktails on tap and a good selection of beer and wine available. We ordered a little bit of everything. We got the butter bean hummus, whipped ricotta, and fish dip to start. The bread and chips were so good, but all the dips were outstanding. I think my favorite was the hummus because it was so unique, but all three were delicious. The dip to bread ratio was also spot on. We also ordered the tomahawk pork chop with the curried collard and grit cakes. The pork chop was perfectly cooked and had the best glaze. The grit cakes were solid, but the collards stole the show. The crispy bread crumbs on top were a perfect addition. It's a little hike to get out there but so worth the trek! Looking forward to our next visit already.
