Do not go to Walk on Tile. After using them successfully in 2010, I returned to be very disappointed. I purchased a marble mosaic basket weave tile with green dots based on a sample from the supplier. When the order arrived, the dots were a different shade of green - practically light gray. Alex, the manager, finally explained that the order that they wrote called for "light" green and the "regular" green I saw originally was more expensive. The price changed from $2,120 ($26.50 per 12 inch square) to $3,120 ($39 per 12 inch square). This was an error made by Walk on Tile in their estimate and order form. There was no way I could have known that "light" green was different than the sample square with "regular" green from the supplier that I approved. After much wrangling with Alex, he refused to budge even after I offered to split the increased cost with him. Finally, he offered to refund me my payment and I reluctantly accepted since I was not sure where to turn next and was then under a time crunch. However, this was the best outcome for me as I quickly found the same mosaic tile on line for $17.00 per square however I was leery of on line ordering given the color issues I had already had. I finally selected Mission Tile West in Santa Monica where I found the exact regular green colored dots in the same basket weave mosaic for $26.71 per 12 inch square that Walk On had originally shown me. I suspect it is the same supplier that Walk On used in Orange County. The order was filled quickly and timely. I am baffled by Walk on Tile's screw up, its explanation, and it's business decision and I will never go there again. I have also told this story to my contractor and several designer friends. Alex was uncooperative and stubborn about this in house debacle. I wonder what the real truth is and what they did with my returned 80-12 inch square sheets with gray/green "light" dots? Had a horrible experience working with these guys. I have been in the construction business for over 15 years, I have never had to deal with such people with no customer service skills. First off, Alex the owner just throws prices out of nowhere. So I had someone else go in and met Melina and her price for the same exact tile was $3 cheaper. Long story short, I did move forward with ordering some tile based on the sample they provided but the titles sold to me came from 2 different batches with slight shade color difference. They took no responsibility for their mistake and did not own up to their mistake. These titles look the same coming right off the box but when installed, you see the difference in color. I trusted these guys to deliver me the same title as the sample so we install them as we opened the boxes but after installation we realized the color difference between the tiles. Unfortunately, we had to rip out all the tile and eat the entire cost and purchase something else from another store. Alex would not budge to even offer a credit for a future purchase and take responsibility for their mistake. These guys are NOT to be trusted with what they sell you. Stay away. read more

The designers are all fantastic and creative here! I came in not knowing what I wanted to do for my first bathroom remodel. They gave me a tour around the showroom and showed me what is trendy and what is good for the local market value and will not go out of style in 10 years. They have beautiful stone mosaics. I wish I could redo my backsplash right now! They have an awesome selection of quartz countertop samples too and offered to let me make an appointment to visit a slab yard. One of the sales girls even helped me pick my grout colors and they don't even sell grout, she also had suggestions on what color finishes for my fixtures that I should do and paint colors. They truly go above and beyond for projects from start to finish. I'm getting ready to do two more bathrooms and will definitely be back! read more

This is a really late post, but I feel like I should compliment their service. We live in Irvine, and we drove to LA to select the tiles based on a friend's recommendation. It was definitely worth the drive. They have a great selection and the staff is super helpful and friendly. We picked our tiles and confirmed inventory and arranged the delivery for at least 2 weeks later. Then, we realized we messed up our schedule and we actually needed the tiles in 2 days. I called them up, and they were super nice about it. They told me that they're gonna expedite the delivery and the tiles were delivered just when we need them! Great customer service and support. On more then one occasion I have had to cancel an order and go elsewhere because of lack of inventory on hand or timely replenishment. Walk On has a great selection of tile and a well done showroom featuring a variety of tiles for different design aesthetics, all without a tile depot environment. - Walk On has a great selection of reasonably priced contemporary floor and wall tiles. - Friendly and helpful staff. Katie listened to our preferences and provided great design assistance and alternate recommendations. She confirmed inventory, pricing and after going home with several samples Katie processed our order and arranged shipping the following day all via email. - Unfortunately we didn't factor enough waste into our calculations and needed 3 additional tiles. I have been going to Walk On for 5 years. They have a good selection of unique tiles, but the customer service is REALLY BAD. I recently returned some tile and was told I would get a check at the end of the month and that was 3 months ago and I still don't have the check. When I call to ask I get a very rude person who tells me he doesn't know and he has to ask someone else.....and then he said"It's only $90.00 so what 's the big deal?".
