My husband visited this store this morning at 8:30 AM to return his truck brakes that had a…read morelifetime warranty to get his refund. He was told by a young man who claimed to be the store manager that he was unable to give him a refund because he was the first customer of the day and that it was store policy not to provide refunds until the store makes the cash because all the money is taken at night. The 'store manager' claimed that the policy was written on the receipt however, there was not store policy printed on the receipt. And to prove that this manager was lying, my husband went to the Autozone located at 87th & the Dan Ryan and was waited on immediately and given a refund. When he made mention of the policy at the Halsted store, the store manager said that that was not an Autozone policy! I guess these young people these days just don't want to do their jobs and they think that you'll just accept what they dish out - NOT! We have complained to corporate.

This store is under horrible management. I visited this store for the first time on November 7th at…read moreapproximately 7:10 AM. When I arrived, to my surprise when pulling the door handle it was locked. I didn't see any employees at that time, but the gate was open. I then sat back in my car and proceeded to call with no answer. At that time (about 7:11 AM) another car pulled up and two ladies walked to the door. At that point an employee walks to the door, says something to them and walks away. The girls tried pulling the handle a few times with no luck. I then waited a few more minutes and called again. (Now 7:20 AM) with a answer this time, I'm assuming I was speaking to a manager. I simply asked what time they opened and he said "we normally open at 7:00 AM, but I'm still waiting on my cashier." As a manager, key holder or supervisor, if "your cashier hasn't come in yet" you get on the register until the cashier arrives and not have customers waiting outside. Now another vehicle has pulled up and we are all waiting in our vehicles. I left at 7:30 AM, without being able to enter the store. This was a complete inconvenience for me. Wasting my gas and most importantly time. I chose to come to this store this early because I had a very early schedule and on the website it said that they opened at 7:00 AM. Not with the exception of the cashier being on time. If a key holder is on duty there goes the cashier in my humble opinion.
