This is by far the best nail salon I've been to in years. The one thing that stood out to me, as a…read morehealthcare professional, was the cleanliness and adherence to DPH regulations/guidelines. The last few salons that I've been to only very loosely followed DPH guidelines at best. The great ratings drew me in, but the immaculate environment and friendly staff kept me there. As other reviewers have noted, the salon is very lovely with a modern decor which is impeccably clean with superb organization. There is great attention to detail with both decor and product displays. Steve and Cindy were extremely personable and accommodating. Steve was very informative, explaining each service option and offering his professional input so that I was able to make informed decisions regarding my services. Timeliness was a bit of an issue as there was a steady flow of clientele. I was a "walk in" and was advised that it would be an hour before anyone was available to assist me. I had another errand to run in the area and since my afternoon was very open, this wasn't a problem. Even if I had been pressed for time, I would have gladly postponed my visit to another day as it would have certainly been worth the wait. I explained to Steve what my preferences were and he delivered the "perfect 10". My nails look great with a more natural appearance, just as I had requested. For once, I feel like I actually got exactly what I wanted and at a fantastic price! I forgot to grab a price list on my way out but I can tell you that I paid significantly less here for much better quality than I've received at other salons. *Just some random side notes that mattered to me: 1) I noticed that some of the music that was playing is the same music that I incorporate into my meditations. It's very soothing and conducive to a relaxing atmosphere. They're spot on with the music. 2) Steve was very sincere and engaging in conversation but not over talkative and imposing. This is important to me because the time I spend having my nails done is usually a rare bit of downtime in my otherwise hectic schedule. I spend my days in a "PR" role and it's nice to not feel obligated to feign interest in a forced conversation. At the same time, there has to be a comfortable level of communication to avoid awkward silence. Steve struck this balance beautifully. 3) The level of respect shown by Steve and Cindy toward their clients was second to none. I've been in many other salons over the years and have been subjected to nail technicians being preoccupied with personal phone calls/texting, engaged in personal conversations with other staff around them or distracted by a TV, eating, etc. There were no "cringe worthy" moments during my visit here today. Clients were greeted by name as they arrived and treated as friends. Everyone in a customer service industry should strive for such standards of professionalism. In summary: I highly recommend this nail salon. They've elevated everything they do here to a standard of excellence that you will not find anywhere else. Quality, professionalism, atmosphere... it's all here. This experience absolutely made my day and I hope you'll see for yourself how fantastic Tranquil Nails really is!

The basket of plastic nail colors is hard to choose from and they rush you. I also noticed they are very friendly to their regular customers but if they don't know you, you're out of luck! It definitely went down hill with the new owners. I don't like being talked about because I didn't like the color I was paying for. I was polite and asked for a change before she even started. They weren't busy either! I apologized and they were still rude to me. I'll be going to another nail salon for now on.

There's 1 hour street parking on Franklin nearby the salon. Inside the spa, it is very clean and doesn't smell too strong, which was nice. There were cute decorations around, which made it feel more homely. The chairs (manicure and pedicure) are sanitary too. There's lots of different polishes (gel and regular) and dip options to pick from. Some of the polishes did seem old, but there were plenty of colors. They also sell their house made lemon scrub in jars for $10, if interested. The staff was very friendly and my nail tech was communicative as well. It seemed like they had a strong and loyal customer base. My pedicure was done very meticulously well and had a lemon scrub and stone massage included. My nail tech shaped and cut my nails the way I asked, so I decided to add a regular manicure on the spot as well + they were able to fit me in! My manicure was done with care too - my cuticles were cleaned and my nails were shaped, cut, and painted nicely. This spa offers lots of services at reasonable prices - I'd definitely go back!

We got simple classic white and my mom felt comfortable enough to come up with her own design lol but they were cooperative with each step. Even the manicure in itself was an experience, we got the paraffin wax included and it was so pleasant. Update, it's been a whole month since I visited this mail spa and my gel nails are still sturdy! Despite the huge nail growth, of course lol. I took the gel off at home, and my natural nails have grown so much and are so sturdy, thanks to the ladies and the process, I'm missing a visit so badly
