This salon is owned and operated by a family--a couple and their two sons, who are also the primary nail technicians. All of the employees are polite and kind, and the level of service is exceptional. They offer many options for pedicures, but I have found that even with the basic pedicure, the attention to detail is there, and the massaging is fantastic. The salon is attractive and clean, so the whole experience is pleasant. This salon has some nice small touches, as well, like rolled towels with nail brushes in them by the sink to use when you wash your hands during a manicure, and they usually offer you something to drink. From the time I walked in until the time I left my experience was horrible. The worse nail salon I have ever been too. The a/c was off. I sat down with a guy and while talking to him I asked if he enjoyed his job and he told me no, I asked for ombré and he messed my nails up twice. After the second time I asked for someone else to do my nails, everyone looked at me crazy. The lady came to fix my nails after 30 min and she made them paper thin. Poor customer service, I wasn't made to feel comfortable, I was not offered a drink even the everyone else in the 3 chairs down were. There is way to much competition within a 5 mile radius. This place is absolutely awful! Went there today to get a pedicure hoping to relax a little after a hectic week of work, but it was the complete opposite. I sat there in pain, watching my toes bleed as she kept going. I kept complaining about the pain and she never once stopped being rough. She grabbed a piece of my skin and pulled it out instead of cutting the edge off with the cuticle nipper, causing my toe to start bleeding. Once she was done with the cuticles, she proceeded to file the top of my nails in such an aggressive manner, that some of my toes started bleeding again. The massage, instead of being relaxing, ended up being painful and very unpleasant. It felt almost as if she was in a rush, but there were only 2 other customers getting their manicures done, so no reason to rush through it whatsoever. I ended up paying around $50, to walk around in pain. There's way better places out there that offer way better service for the same price. This was my first time coming here, and I will definitely not be coming back. Worst experience ever, if I could I'd leave 0 stars. read more

From the moment I waked in to get an acrylic full set some guy came up to us trying to buy me into getting gel on added on for an additional cost, I kindly told him no & he didn't seem nice at all about my respond. Once I picked out my color and sat down I let him know in advance that I would like "coffin" shaped nails. He told me it would be $30 total. I got up. Since when do nails salons charge extra for a desired shape? I told him "no thanks, everywhere I got does it for $22 total" as I got up to leave. As I was going to my car a lady came out and apologized and said they'd do it for $22 total. I told her no thanks, and went somewhere else. I recently moved to the grapevine area and was in DESPERATE need of a pedicure. In my old city I had a nail salon I visited frequently and was nervous to switch. I walked into this location without an appointment around 5:30PM on a Friday and I was immediately greeted and given a chair. The place had customers consistently coming in and they were sure to give everyone equal attention. The woman who did my pedicure (sadly I forgot her name) was amazing! Although I was reading a book and not very talkative, we were able to exchange a few pleasantries while she made sure I was comfortable. My pedicure came out lovely and for the $35 I paid, I received well over an hour of pampering... complete with a scrub, hot wrap and stone massage. Couldn't get any better! I'm glad I didn't have to shop around a lot for a place I like, I will certainly be going back very soon. read more

I had 2 different experiences here, the first time it was a solid 4 the second time it was so bad I couldn't wait to get out, so my 2 rating is the average of 4 and 0!! The second time, my gel manicure was done by a gentleman. I was grossed out by him using the tip of his long dirty nail to even out the polish on the side of my nails. He used the same dirty towel that was used to clean the nail residue after he was done and basically put back all the dirt on my hand!!! It was such a nasty experience, delivered so carelessly that I decided to never go back. To add insult to injury, the polish was applied unevenly and tipped so horribly after 5 days! Never again Elite nails. Consistency is a pillar of quality and you should have all your employees maintain same level of service. read more

Everyone here is very nice but I've tried to get a shellac manicure several times and they can't seem to get it right. Both times it wouldn't dry and I was told I wasn't holding my hand in the UV box correctly. Really? How many ways can I hold my hand in the little box? I've never experienced these problems anyplace else I've gotten this manicure, so it's either the lack of knowledge of the manicurist, faulty UV boxes, or poor quality polish. Both times I had them do the gel the manicure ended up taking almost 1.5 hours. I decided that since I like shellacs that I will find a better place. read more

My father purchased a gift card to this place for me for my birthday. The purchase date was 10/2/15 and the expiration date was put down as 1/02/15. When I tried to use the gift card I was told they would not honor it even though the expiration date is prior to the purchase date. The manager told me they have had 3 and then later he said 4 different owners in less than a year and they can't honor gift certificates because they don't have the money. We had to wait about 20 minutes for pedicures because we were walk-ins but they sat us in massage chairs and got our feet soaking as soon as we'd picked out our nail polish color. The deluxe pedicure ($30) was well worth it for the 35-40 minute experience of having the nails and cuticles shaped and trimmed, foot buffed, foot and calf salt scrub, warm oil with hot stone massage (about 3 minutes per calf). The salon itself is very clean with 3 flat screens with different shows on. 8 pedicure chairs so bring a friend or two along but making an appointment surely helps. The price is right and the service is great, everyone is very friendly and professional. I wish they had this place where I live. DO NOT LET SHAYLA DO YOUR NAILS! Do not waste your money here! I ordered a manicure and pedicure. Gel on my toenails and powder on my fingernails. The pedicure was ok. First she asked if I wanted my nails cut. I said no and that I want to keep the length just file them down. I also asked her to soak my cuticles, push them back and cut them. She had previously soaked them in acetone to remove my old polish. She went straight to cutting my cuticles and cut me on multiple fingers. My cuticles ended up looked crooked and the parts that were bleeding burned. She didn't even file my nails to shape them she just went straight into the powder. After she finishes I say that my nails look very bumpy and crooked and she does nothing about it. She puts oil on my nails and walks away. I'm sitting there waiting for more than 5 minutes until my sister asks another person who worked there for Shayla. She returns and asks what I need and I asked her if she was going to do my manicure. She apologized and said she forgot. She rushes to do my "manicure" but I wouldn't even call it that. She also burned me with the hot towel because of how fast she was trying to finish. The "massage" felt like a baby was giving me an arm massage. Basically pointless. When it's all over I ask her if she can clean up the mess underneath my nails and the color that was all over my skin. She proceeds to use her own nail to scratch my skin and under my nails and I ask her if she could use a tool otherwise I could do that myself. She continues to scratch and I tell her to stop. That was it. Such a waste of money and time and the end result was not even worth it. Overall a very sloppy job and rushed service. They are so overpriced please, do not waste your money here! This is not my first bad experience here. I will never be returning and I will warn everyone I know about this place. They charged me $100 bucks for lumpy, bumpy, uneven, crooked nails. read more
