I usually don't do this but since I was actually hurt by what had happened to me I think everyone else should prepare before you get your nails done here. I know they have a lot of loyal customers and maybe you get treated better than random walk-ins. I have been here many times I am a local. But this was my worst experience by far. Initially I asked for them to take off my old acrylics and get a new set. She said it was 30 right off the bat now $5 extra to take them off. Then she also said they charge $5 for the length. And I was done at that point she proceeded to take off my old acrylics and ripped off my fingernail was bleeding everywhere. They put glue on it they didn't sanitize it. They still had my friend pay full price. All my nails are uneven they do not look anyting close to identical I know every nail is not perfect but at least you could try. It took them an hour and 45 minutes from start to finish. Never going back should have stuck with my gut. read more

as a local, this is my nail place to go! My feet looked horrendous after no pedicure for 4 months and then looked like the best Pedicure I've ever seen after! The girls here pay attention to detail better than most places. I came in and they were too busy to take me but I'm glad I stuck it out and waited for the best Pedi in town at the best prices. 20 dollar Peds and 30 dollar Ped/mani combo. Good vibes here too. Had an appt took forever always charged me $30 for leg wax when I've paid $25. No more for me.

My step daughter and I each had a pedicure yesterday. We called in one hour in advance and they were able to accommodate us without a problem. The first thing I noticed was how clean everything was, the foot bath was actually lined with a disposable plastic liner. The pedicures were just over thirty minutes and cost $25 each. They did an excellent job, we will certainly be back. read more

Thao always does a great job. There's a $32 mani-pedi special which is hard to beat. I think it's the best nail place in Carp.

I have been going to Elite Nails for many years. We tried other nail salons in Carpinteria and moved to Elite Nails for satisfying our strict requirements for what we believe is an outstanding nail salon. Tao, owner, does an amazing job of operating Elite Nails - cleanliness and attention-to-detail performances. Many of the staff have worked there for years. I am very picky when it comes to my nails and feet - they have it all together and do an outstanding job. This nail salon is kept VERY clean, with up-to-date equipment, and an awesome selection of polish choices. Tao and the staff are very respectful of their clients. I talked my husband into going there a few years ago and he is sold on Tao's professionalism. I did review some of the negative reviews and all I can say is these reviews are not consistent with what we have experienced at Elite Nails. I hope you will give them an opportunity to show you their expertise and to prove the negative reviews are not consistent with their professionalism. I've been here a few times and have always had a pleasant experience. They do a fantastic job at nails! Jenny has done my hands and feet and she's very good. Tracy is a must, she's a perfectionist! I've never had shellac last longer than a week and my shellac was looking great during week 2. The salon is definitely not updated it's pretty basic but their manicurists get the job done! Wish I could rate my experience but I didn't even have one. There's a huge sign right out front that says "walk in's welcome" no they are not. The first thing the guy told me was that I should have made an appointment, as of the place was busy, there was one person there. The guy told me he had an appointment coming in, and I can understand that but he was so rude to me. I'll take my business elsewhere. read more

Very typical looking as many of these Vietnamese owned nail salons are. It is clean and nice. I do wish I could recall/spell the lady's name who did my manicure, but she was quite competent. I asked for a high buff shine on my fingernails. She shortened, filed, trimmed the cuticles, buffed the nails to a beautiful shine! I also got a most appreciated arm/hand massage. All in all, for $15 ~ a bargain, to be sure! I will be back and certainly recommend anyone else to venture over. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would!! So i had gotten a full set from another nail salon in town and a week later me and my sister in law went to Santa Barbara for a night out in which 3 of my nails ended up lifting. So i went to go back when i got off early from work at around 1 on Monday and found out they we closed. So then me and my sister in law decided to go here, BIGGEST mistake of my life. I asked how much for a fill and she said $18 and my sister in law came in and needed a gel polish change (didn't ask about price our mistake) and so we both went in right away (it was empty). So she starts telling me how because my nails were lifting they would need to be removed and put new and i might as well got a full set. and i said no its okay just a fill. She continued to push the new set and i continued to politely declined. She then began to mumble to my manicurist in their language (obviously about me) then they decided to cut my index nail off telling me oh it was cracked and un-fixable (no.) and so then i said look if this is what you're gonna do just put the full set and the girl said okay well go with her (The owner aka the one who was pushing for a set.) she began to pull my nails off with hers which was whatever at first because most of the acrylic had lifted but she got to my thumb which CLEARLY had no real indication of lifting and sat there sticking the acrylic tips and trying to slide them underneath along with the cuticle cutters and rip the acrylic off instead of drill filing the acrylic down LIKE A PROFESSIONAL. Then the rest of the session continued in her pushing a little extra hard on my cuticles every now and then. The final straw was when she drill filed my cuticle and i started to bleed. I said you know what how much is it? And she said $28 and i was also paying for my sister in law who did not need a fill just a gel polish change. She then said it would be $63!!!! I gave her the money and sure as hell did not give her a tip but to my sister in laws manicurist because she was the only one who knew how to be professional apparently. I can understand not wanting to fill a set that wasn't put on by you but to DELIBERATELY hurt someone because they didn't want to remove A WEEK OLD SET is just BS. I've gotten a full set put on at on since i was 15 I'm now 22 and I know the difference between someone being professional and someone being a spiteful witch. NEVER GOING BACK AND DEFINITELY NEVER RECOMMENDING!! read more

I really love getting my nails done here. Usually it is quite, but busy. I work with Jenny, she does a great job on my nails and I go 3 times a month at least. They carry a large variety of professional quality colors like Essie and OPI they can do gel, silk wrap and acrylic nails. Always perfect. Tao, the owner is really sweet, super professional and does an amazing job. The Pedicure chairs have all been updated and more modern, super comfy, with a built in massage. Eager to please, just ask and they'll deliver. Bring your friends and make it a spa day. Also does waxing in a safe, clean, private room for a very good price. Prices are very competitive and with only a small handful of nail technicians in the area. this is my first and only choice, hours are great, salon is clean and friendly. Walk-ins welcome or call ahead and they'll get in you, love to become a regular client. I have been a client for 6+ years of Tao, and 1 year with Jenny. You won't be disappointed.. read more
