I am out visiting Barstow for work and was pleasantly surprised by this place. The serving size was more than enough, but WOW talk about taste! I got the banana macadamia protein shake and was blown away. Normally I feel that protein shakes either get that telltale, chalky kind of flavor or are waaaay over-sweetened to hide the taste. But this shake was delicious, the perfect balance of sweetness with the banana and nutty flavor and a hint of cinnamon. It also uses plant protein which is a huge win since I have a whey allergy. When you walk in you're hit with the smell of sewage. I was excited for a smoothie/ health place in town but this is not it. It's a Herbalife place. Everything is powder, water and ice. I ordered a peanut butter banana smoothie and was all powder. Located in the old Subway spot next to the Liquor Store in the Stater Bros Shopping Center. Smoothies were very refreshing and tasteful. Be advised, if you're going for the very sweet smoothies that you get at other stops, this might not be for you. But for me it was just what I preferred and liked. Not too sweet but not too bland neither. You taste the flavors and that's a plus for me. Maybe they can add more sweeteners if requested but I liked it the way it was made regularly.
