I contacted Elite Plumbing based on their stellar YELP reviews. The owner, Dominic, returned my call the same day to schedule an estimate the next week. After the estimate I scheduled the work to be done. I needed a water faucet moved from the side of my home to the front of my home. I also needed my Culligan water softener relocated about 7 feet closer to the front of my home. Dominic arrived promptly at 8am in a new Merc Sprinter. I was really impressed with this vehicle since I'm a car collector. Dominic explained the large truck holds more equipment than other commercial vans. The inside did, in fact, have an abundance of shelves filled with new stock. It was all clean and incredibly well organized. It's like a rolling plumbing store. Wow! The work was completed in about 3 hours. Dominic did a great job to explain how he would proceed with each step to confirm I was happy with his plan. Everything was done in a professional matter with a great attention to detail. I was doing another project in my back yard so Dominic had to listen to my obscure music - he told me we share the same taste in music - nice. Lastly, Dominic explained to me that he comes from a family of tradesmen. My dad was a union laborer/carpenter so I could relate. He's built his business from scratch through sheer hard work and determination. We laughed at the fact that we both started hard work as young teens and it defines our character. I've used Elite Plumbing for several years now. The first time Dominic came out it was a small job so he asked me if there was anything else he could do while there; there really wasn't but I appreciated that he wanted me to get my money's worth. Another time he installed a new toilet for me. Today I am in a different home and am renting; the owner has a warranty. Dominic stopped by almost immediately after I contacted him about my broken flusher and checked out the situation and suggested a couple of resolutions. When I asked my landlord what she wanted to do she reminded me about the warranty so I couldn't use Elite Plumbing. I told Dominic the situation and offered to pay him but he refused. Having seen many positive reviews about Dominic's work, I called Elite when our shower drain backed up. He came out the next day, spent 10 minutes running a "snake" through a drain line, extracted a hairball and charged $224. When both shower drains backed up about 10 days later, Dominic said he'd have to charge us to come back and redo the job, but that this now appeared to be a grey water line problem, which he said he doesn't work on. I then called American Sewage and Drain in Santa Rosa, who came out that afternoon, went into the crawl space to figure out the drain configurations then went up on the roof and ran a snake down into the main line to the septic tank to extract a large old hairball. It was not a grey water line problem at all. American employees were exceptionally polite and charged $140 for the successful 45 minute effort, also providing a 30-day guarantee. Favorable Yelp reviews suggest Dominic is a first-rate plumber, but here his effort was incomplete, followed by various excuses about why he was not the right person to finish the job. Should have listened to our contractor, who strongly recommended American Sewage. read more

Hired them for a couple of jobs. They worked cleanly and on time. Price was a bit steep after I asked around but what's done is done. My electrician found it odd that he installed my ventilation fan directly above the shower. He said it was too close to direct moisture. None the less it was decent work. My biggest issue is the follow up. A few weeks later I had the hot water heater go out and since I already had their number and it was urgent I called him. No return call. I called again from a different number and he answered. When I identified myself he acted like he was busy and lost connection. Super weird, I got the feeling he thought I was calling from an issue with his previous work and was avoiding any conversation. After that I got the drift and went elsewhere. We've used their serviced for two projects on our own home and a rental property. The first was a broken pipe outside of the house and the other was a leaking shower. They gave us accurate quotes ahead of time and showed up when they said they would. After they made the repair to the shower, my tenants at the rental property didn't keep the water off as long as directed and Elite came back a couple days later to make sure the leak had not started again. They did not charge me for the follow up, even thought the fault was probably on my end. I've seen a few reviews that suggest that their prices are high (which I did not think), but having been a homeowner and owning multiple rental properties for 20 years, I have found that looking for a deal usually ends in hiring someone else to correct the repair. Let's begin at none other than the beginning. In a drunken state, Yoda managed to fall into my sink. He may have been given a slight push but he made it there somehow. While Yoda, my most precious shot glass, was hiding I happened to run the garbage disposal. I heard a very aggressive sound but, with my screw it attitude, let it run a moment longer. Little did I know I had just murdered my shot glass that got me through the years along with my garbage disposal. After a week of doing my dishes in the bathtub, I gave Dominic a jingle.
