The woman who did my Botox was lovely, talked about what I wanted/needed and asked lots of questions about my previous experience so that she could provide the perfect care, which was thoughtful (and also super professional!). The Botox itself was painless (they have the buzzer for you to use which is awesome for someone with no pain tolerance like me!) and was completed in under 20 minutes. It has set in now and I am no longer waking up with headaches/tight jaw, so definitely works for TMJ girlies like myself. I also thought the pricing was super fair, very much in line with what I've paid before and the touchups being included the first two weeks is super generous (I didn't need any, but neat perk!). I don't know if they appealed or have a business manager or office manager that reaches out to just say here's our cost, out of pocket, or if they feel folks wont come up with it. 2) I learned fromy insurance billing that Dr. S is out of my network but I was prepared to pay that BECAUSE I have seen his work and talked to ladies for candid feedback/testimonals. 3) Bill arrived but I didn't see a website to pay online which I would have much rather alas I called in Friday, March 21st and the person that answered was less than stellar compared to my physical visit. To wrap it up, I asked if I may have the receipt emailed and she called out another email address. She sounded incredulous as if I don't know my classic 1990s Yahoo email that I've had since freshmen year. Anywhoo, I'm not the Gmail girl. We have our school email for Life so I use it for business. My point: let's not be testy like I don't know my email. Anywhoo...I, in turn, made it easier for her in this moment: Rather than spell out the school email we'll just slap yahoo on there and be done. Tbh, her response bothered me more than the office lack of follow-up once the denial arrived. C'est la vié. Yes, I can recommend Dr. S for the work seen on others and his let's get it done attitude. The ladies in consult are physicians in training but I don't care for the iPhone being the item used to take personal pictures.

Complaint Against LaserAway for Unethical Business Practices and Unauthorized Charge…read more On October 25, 2025, I had a scheduled 11:00 a.m. laser hair removal appointment at LaserAway. I arrived on time, was checked in by the receptionist, and taken to a treatment room. Before the procedure began, a nurse practitioner joined by video to review my health history. When I disclosed that I have cataracts, she immediately ended the call and said I was not a candidate for treatment. I left the facility around 11:15 a.m. without receiving any service. Before booking, I had a detailed phone conversation with an intake representative who strongly encouraged me to proceed. I fully discussed my health history, yet was never told cataracts would prevent treatment. Afterward, I reviewed their policies and found no mention of cataracts as a restriction. Despite being denied service, my card was charged $249.00 later that same day (around 1:15 p.m.). I have called multiple times to request a refund but have been repeatedly transferred or ignored with no resolution. I believe this constitutes unfair and deceptive business practices. The company continues to charge customers for services they do not perform and fails to provide clear medical exclusions in advance. I respectfully request a refund of $249.00 and I think the Better Business Bureau should review LaserAway's policies and billing practices to prevent similar incidents for other consumers.

During my first visit to the studio, I received all three services. Christina, my nurse…read morepractitioner, was excellent during my first visit. The Botox facial was impressive, It's made to just penetrate the top layer of skin and not the actual muscle and it does wonders for your skin texture especially your pores. Unfortunately the upper face treatment required me to walk around with one eyebrow raised significantly higher than the other due to the two-week waiting period for the treatment to set in. I tried emailing the head nurses but I did not hear back and so I just went back to the studio and despite my efforts to have them correct it earlier, they are VERY STRICT about the two week waiting period. So be warned. I was also disappointed to learn that the massater muscle treatment is not unlimited. I grind my teeth and the main reason I started getting Botox and require a substantial amount of units on each side, but the highest they offer is 30 units per side. I have been getting Botox treatment for years and no one ever knew because I do it very subtle but the eyebrow gave me up. So much for 10 years of discretion. During my second visit, I only came in for the Botox facial, I was unexpectedly placed with another nurse practitioner. I made an explicit effort to wait and come in specifically to work with Christina to avoid a repeat of my previous experience. The new nurse practitioner was unsure of what formula Christina used the last time, so we had to wait for Christina to finish with her other client to find out. Then I was informed me that the facial had undergone a significant change; it used to be four passes across the face using micro-needles reduced to two passes. She also mentioned that the formula had been enhanced, resulting in improved outcomes, so I went ahead and did it. Upon leaving the studio, I did not notice any noticeable pinkness, which should have been my first sign. That was July 30 and weeks later, I am still awaiting any results. While the treatment is convenient and relatively affordable, the lack of results and the lack of transparency before you come in for service is very disappointing . I have given the studio a one-star rating due to the pleasant atmosphere of the staff. However, both visits fell short of my expectations, which is unfortunate considering the studio's convenience. This all serves as a reminder that if something sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
