It's important to understand that PB is a installer not a manufacture. Different manufactures have different models. EnergySage.com is great for general research panel efficiency: SunPower: 22.8% LG: 22% REC: 21.7% PB is a certified installer for REC group a Norwegian company that started in 1996. My specific solar panel model number is REC355AA (alpha series with HeteroJunction HJT cell technology (RECgroup.com) My system: 14 REC x 350 watt panels producing 4,900 (4.9 kW) total solar power. To put this number in perspective, a typical 3 ton central A/C system consumes about 3 kW when it's running. Timeline it took about 3 months from initial call to certification. I went though a co-op with city of Denver (SolarUnitedNeighbors.org). Read up on "Net metering" and "Investment Tax credit ITC" renewed 26% for year 2021-2022 Everybody from sales: Krista T. Projector manager: Eric H. And installers: Jerry & Kyle they were all competent in their lane of work. They all praised their management and liked the company culture. Solar can be purchased with cash or financed with a 20-year loan just like purchasing a car or appliance. It's an investment for your house and your money saving won't break even until around year 10. Loan payment will be around $80-150 per month depending on the kW size of your system. Your electric bill will be significantly reduced to nothing but you still have to pay the $6 monthly service fee plus your Natural Gas utility bill. Most panels will have a 25 year warranty but the biggest difference is Tesla SC330 panels only guarantee Output of 80% efficiency at the end of term. REC355AA panels guarantee is at 92% efficiency. Photon Brothers wasted 6 months of my time and cost me roughly $17,000 due to their negligence. I repeat, DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES CHOOSE PHOTON BROTHERS. There are many solar companies out there, take your business elsewhere!! This is a company that puts customer service LAST and will throw you under the bus and leave you hanging the when issues arise and they need to do something that inconveniences them or impacts their bottom line despite contracts, written and verbal promises and basic honorable/professional business norms. Our family moved into our new home in June and immediately began comparing solar proposals. I ultimately chose Photon because Sam Johnson (senior sales rep) appeared knowledgeable. I was explicit with Sam about the type of roof and shingle I had--I even sent him the official documentation from the roofing company detailing the type of roof and shingle. He assured me multiple times that Photon could handle it and told me he had built extra labor costs into the contract for exactly that reason. We signed a contract and approved financing. Then came the site visit with the installation supervisor, Drew Perry. I was on the roof with Drew as he inspected everything. He told me directly that the roof was suitable and we were "good to go." Every step of the way, Photon reassured me the system would be installed before year-end so I would receive substantial expiring federal tax credits. Throughout this process, I repeatedly checked in with the project manager, Kaitlyn Martinez. Responses were rare, slow, and unhelpful--but when she did reply, she also confirmed everything was on track for installation before year end. Install day--November 24--was when it all fell apart. Only that morning did the installation team realize they had completely overlooked the shingle type and couldn't install the system, even though I had disclosed this upfront and even though their own supervisor had inspected the roof in person. The install crew told me they messed up and would make it right and still get it done before year end. Kaitlyn (project manager) called--one of the only times she ever did--and assured me there would be no added cost and they would still complete the project by year end, I was reassured again that they would uphold the contract and their promises. That turned out to be untrue. After several incredibly frustrating conversations with Sam and co-owner John Johnson, where I had to constantly call them for updates, I was finally told that Photon would NOT complete the project at all. They openly admitted they made the mistake but refused to honor the contract or their repeated promises because it would cost them more in labor. John specifically told me that--even though the error was entirely on their side--they were not willing to take the financial hit to fix it and I was just out of luck. They refused any sort of compensation for my lost time and money. John initially tried to blame me because I had a difficult roof, then blamed Drew Perry (instillation supervisor), then blamed his Ops team then just told me verbatim "construction is difficult" and I need to understand that, so too bad for me. As a result, I've lost more than six months of time and a ~$17,000 tax credit, all because Photon Brothers failed to do their job, failed to communicate, and then refused to take responsibility for their own mistake. Based on my experience, I would strongly caution anyone considering this company. They overpromise, underdeliver, and when their internal failures come to light, they deflect, delay, and ultimately leave the customer holding the bag. I cannot recommend them under any circumstances.

The team ran into some problems that were outside of their control and handled them extremely well. The spray makes a mess but they covered beforehand, and then cleaned up very well afterwards. Re cost, I obtained seven estimates. Only two came in cheaper, and I those estimators did not leave me with a good level of confidence that they would have quality work.

I also discovered that the technician moved my security camera from the window to a table without asking. This was captured on my security footage. When I raised these concerns with management, I felt they were dismissed. The manager told me he believed the technician's account over mine despite the video I provided. I also informed him that I intended to leave an online review. During our conversation, he responded by saying, "I'll sue you for defamation." And, " I can't wait to see everyone on Reddit laugh at you" That response made me question whether customers feel comfortable leaving honest negative reviews after receiving that kind of warning. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company. I encourage anyone hiring these contractors to have security cameras and to document the condition of their home before and after service. In my opinion, moving a customer's security camera without permission is a serious security concern. Xcel's website has a list of companies you should use I'll provide a list below. Jason has been my main guy, and he was so responsive, and easy to work with. They came and fix every single issue that I had. 2 years ago we had a huge hail, but none of the solar panels were damaged. But we had to claim insurance and take the panels off and put them back on. Suntalk has been easy to work with, and they rewire everything, even put better insulations on the wirings. I had pigeons trying to make nests under the panels, and they put nets and guards around. Yesterday, I just realized that my SolarEdge data was not updating since March 3rd. Called Jason, and he told me how to reset the communication module, and everything is good now. Early on, we were getting emails and calls from many different people. When we had questions, we didn't know where to direct them because there were so many people contacting us and no point person for us to go to. We would be directed to different people and often would not receive responses. There were delays on installation, most of which were beyond Titan Solar's control, so this did not impact the rating at all. The concern was not the delays but not communicating with us about the delays. Additionally, because they needed to get inside our garage for the install, we tried to be proactive and coordinate with them when we would be home and available. They did not respond to our calls and emails about this several times. When we did get through to someone about this, they said they would show up at a particular time and did not. Another time after over an hour on hold, the person who answered the phone didn't know how to check on the arrival time. We kept receiving conflicting information about getting approval from the city, including discrepancies about if we needed to be home during the inspections or not. They also provided conflicting information about the number of inspections. We were told someone from Titan would be here during the inspection, but then this did not always happen. After the product was installed, our inverter went out in less than two months. I appreciate that they quickly noticed this from their monitoring and contacted us. This was the one good, proactive communication we received from Titan. However, after this, the follow-through was quite poor. They couldn't provide updates on when the part would arrive to be fixed. Once it did arrive, they just showed up without contacting us--fortunately, we were home. However, after the inverter was replaced the solar was still not active. We did not receive any communication about why. We are pleased with the solar panels. The people who did the actual installation were always very pleasant. I was concerned that our inverter went out within 2-months. However, the 2-star rating is because of the rather abysmal communication. Having a couple of communication issues with a big project like this is not a big deal. However, what we encountered was a consistent pattern of poor communication. It seems that the primary issue is the management. This is a highly disorganized company. We had hoped to refer people to Titan; however, even though the product is good, we would not feel comfortable referring anyone to a company with this many consistent patterns of communication problems.

Cameron was horrible and couldn't care less after the sale to help or ensure anything was completed correctly or on time. For a had mistakes, plaques wrong and constant finger pointing at excel. (Who was on top of everything on their end as I was regularly having to call both blue raven and excel to get contracts and forms completed. Then for accountability none. They have for weeks dodged my calls and efforts to get a call from a manager regarding their incompetence. Good luck if you use them, run if you can from this company.
