So you know if you're calling a towing company, it's already not a great day. Regardless! When I saw Todd pull up with his massive tow truck, I was relieved seeing my little bambino's savior had arrived. Without going into the gruesome details of what happened, Todd was able to reign her in without jeopardizing her condition further. Trust me, any further jostling or mishandle-ment could have led to tragedy. I was truly lucky (or "blessed" for the religious folk out there). He gladly drove us on over a couple towns south west - about a 15 minute ride. Normally I am leery about the conversations that can be had with this sorted crew, but I was real happy to be sitting alongside Todd. He told me a little about his starting this business not too long ago and then gave me some advice on my car. Super friendly and super comforting. A damsel in distress no more! I used Elite towing today, the second of the Polar-cold days in the Chi. Todd was great. He managed to get my car quickly on a day where I was on hold with Hyundai's Roadside Assistance for over 90 minutes and never got anyone to answer. He picked up my car at my office and was very helpful. He listened to what the symptoms were and listened as I tried to start my car. He diagnosed the general thing that I was thinking ( starter related ) and took down notes to relay to the dealership. He promptly loaded my car onto the flatbed and I learned a couple of things as he went. PRICE WAS BELOW HIS ESTIMATE, which was nice. I understand it may not always be that way, but it was in the ballpark of the quick quote that I got when I called. Needing a tow is not high on anyone's list of how to spend their time and money BUT if you are in that situation, this is the company you want to use. I was having one of those days where nothing seemed to go right. My car broke down on the Kennedy out past Arlington Heights. We had the highway towing company tow us to a Pep Boys nearby for $200 and they couldn't fix the problem. Before you call anyone else - call Elite Towing & Hauling!!!!!!!!! I called several places that wanted a lot more money to tow me a few miles away to my auto repair guy. Todd not only quoted a price that was lower than all the others I'd called, he told me it was lower still once he arrived and had worked out the mileage. He didn't have to do that and we all know most people these days WOULDN'T do that, which is sad. Todd is not only honest, he was quick to respond to my call, quick to get here and quick to get the car hooked up. But the best part of all is that he has a flatbed he gently pulls your car onto. He was very professional, considerate, fair, and friendly as other Yelp reviewers had noted. Todd to the rescue!!... Again. Unfortunately, we had car problems again. Our car's battery was completely fried and we needed a tow to a car place to help fix it. Todd is absolutely incredible. I cannot recommend Todd enough. I had a totally messed up situation- a mechanic who was totally unprofessional and once I decided to take my business elsewhere he threatened to move my car to a junk yard. I needed a quick tow from this horrid place to a mechanic I probably should have called in the first place... but I digress.
