As always the salads are super fresh. I had a delicious salad with blue cheese dressings and Wes had the house dressing. We also shared a Capricciosa pizza for lunch. The service was great and [[HIGHLIGHT]]I always love the ambiance.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I really love the one on Battleground at the Holidays, they have a great fireplace in the middle of the resturant.

Great experience for dinner on a Friday night! Seated quickly, server was a a little slow getting to us but brought drinks pretty swiftly. Mozzarella sticks were piping hot and tasty. Not particularly unique but still yummy. The Elizabeth pizza special was good. The homemade crust was good, the toppings were good though they were distributed poorly. The fettuccine Alfredo was creamy. Needed salt but was delicious. The cheeseburger panini was unique and looked delicious. All in all a good experience and will be back.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Fun and affordable place for large groups and for families.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Pizza is wonderful, especially the BLANCA with no sauce ( ricotta and mozzarella-I like it I'm with broccoli, add mushrooms and tomatoes). Also dubs are yummy, especially the meatball subs!

We wanted to like this place but couldn't. I ordered "Elizabeth's Baked Trio" Witcher three types of pasta served on one plate. What I got was a plate covered completely and melted cheese with some stuff underneath it. It was like one conglomeration of pasta tossed in together with melted cheese topped over it. Terrible. You can see this in the photos. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Our table wobbled like the dance. The entire place was stated and showed its age. The front door closing mechanism was busted. When you open the door it stayed open. When I realized this I had to go back and then pull the door shut.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] You can see this in the photos. I also ordered a site of meatballs which tasted exactly like something you'd get from a frozen bag in the grocery store. I asked if they were made in house or purchased and I was told they were purchased. Seriously not even thr meatballs are fresh The only reason I'm giving two stars is for our server who was polite and on the ball. I would not recommend going here and we will not be returning.

Had lunch here today with my son. I had the lasagna and he had the spaghetti with meatballs. The meals came with warm, fresh, bread and salad. The food was really good but they were extremely short staffed which was not good because they were pretty busy. We waited 15 minutes to get someone to take our order and another 20 minutes after receiving the bill for someone to take our money. We were on a schedule so the waiting time was frustrating. I love the atmosphere and food so I will give them another try to step up on the service. I would recommend but not if you're in a hurry!

*takeout experience only* Elizabeth's Pizza is a local chain scattered across Winston-Salem and Greensboro. I'd argue this is one of the most recognized pizza establishments among Greensboro natives particular. I used to frequent the Groometown Road location fairly often when I worked nearby, but I had never previously been to this Battleground location. I ordered takeout via ChowNow online, and my order was piping hot and ready to go when I arrived. The hostess directed me to the bar to pick up my food. Both the hostess and the lady behind the bar were very pleasant, even though it was about 5:15 on a Friday evening and the restaurant was already beginning to get quite busy. I'll start by getting this out of the way. This is coming from someone who much prefers a Neapolitan style or a Sicilian/deep dish as opposed to that signature New York style that Elizabeth's is known for. With that being said, this is pleasant for that style of pizza, albeit a bit pricy for a more casual dining establishment. I got the veggie pizza and I did enjoy it. The bits of eggplant on there were really nice and cooked very well. It was a unique addition I really liked. The tomatoes on it I think could've been roasted a bit longer, but I wasn't bothered enough to pick them off. They were extremely thick slices so that was just kind of weird. I will say at least the $11 mozzarella sticks came with 8 instead of the usual 4-6 you can usually expect. They were pretty good. The pasta was probably my favorite item! I used to get the lunch fettuccine Alfredo quite often and always enjoyed it, and I'm a big carbonara fan so I knew I had to try this. I'll say, it isn't a traditional style (it has bacon and onions) but I really enjoyed it. The noodles were tender and the sauce was a nice consistency. All the right flavors. They do a nice pizza by the slice special for lunch, as well as other specials. I'd say that's where Elizabeth's shines, rather than the slightly expensive dinner experience.

Are dogs allowed in the outdoor seating area?

Yes, so they are on a leash and not running around like some folk's children are allowed.

By the time I left around 6, there were people standing and waiting to be seated. The patio was open with one couple enjoying the nice weather and relative quiet of outdoors. Embur recently relocated to Smyres Place in Greensboro and the new space feels much smaller than I expected. The design reminded me of what I imagine a modern restaurant in Peru might look like. Industrial with solid wood floors, warm finishes, and a large wine display. There are around 25 to 26 tables, mostly two tops and four tops. The largest table seats six, but they will push tables together for larger groups. While I was there, a group of more than 20 came in celebrating something and they were seated quickly without disrupting the rest of the room. The small patio has outdoor seating with about 8 tables and a they have bar area with about nine comfortable seats. The menu took me a minute to understand but I ended up liking the setup. You choose your entrée, which comes with set ingredients, and then choose your protein. Each protein has a different price, so you can control the cost of your meal somewhat. Most menu items can also be made gluten free according to the menu, and vegetarian options seem easy to do. For my appetizer, I ordered the flatbread. Perfection. Rosemary, olive oil, sea salt. Crispy outside, soft inside, and so flavorful I almost ate the whole thing before my meal was served. The server came with water right away and remain attentive but not intrusive the whole time. For my entree, I ordered the Arroz Chaufa with salmon. Arroz Chaufa literally means fried rice. At first the dish seemed a bit salty to me, but once I added the green sauce that comes with it (served on the side), everything balanced out. The green sauce has very mild heat, so if you are not a fan of spicy food, that is the one I would recommend. There is a list of sauces so I assume you can customize your entree. According to my server, the other sauces bring more heat. The salmon was excellent, well seasoned but not too much, and moist. The portion was ample. I was very hungry but I had leftovers to bring home. Service was exactly what I want when dining alone. Attentive without being intrusive. I watched Netflix while I ate and enjoyed my meal without feeling rushed or bothered. The noise level is average for a busy small restaurant. Comfortable enough to relax, but if you want to talk to someone in your group a couple of seats away, you will need your outside voice. This place feels upscale without being fussy, so expected to pay more than average, but I thought it was good value for the quality and portions. I loved this restaurant and will absolutely go back. Must order: Rosemary flatbread appetizer. Tip: Ask about sauce heat before ordering. If you do not like spicy food, start with the green sauce.

The pasta was cooked just right -- not too al dente -- and the flavors were delicious. My sister ordered the grilled salmon salad, and the salmon was cooked perfectly while the salad itself was fresh and delish. We both started with Aperol Spritzes, which were perfect for the beginning of summer weather! The ambiance was warm, inviting, and homey, and our server was so attentive throughout the meal. We were celebrating my nephew's birthday/graduation, and not only did he bring out dessert for the occasion, but he also surprised us with an extra dessert and gave us so much bread and sauce to take home. Such thoughtful hospitality all around. We loved our experience and will definitely be back next time we're in Greensboro!

Unfortunately, our Mother's Day experience at this restaurant was extremely disappointing…read more As visitors to the area, we chose this restaurant hoping for a special holiday meal. We arrived when the restaurant opened and were among the first guests seated, yet the service was remarkably slow from the start. It took approximately 45 minutes to receive coffee, and when it finally arrived, it was undrinkable. We were told there was a cappuccino machine available, but no one on staff appeared to know how to operate it. The wait for food was even more frustrating. After waiting about an hour, our meals finally arrived, only to be met with food that was largely overcooked, burnt, or hard. The waffles appeared to be pre-made frozen mini waffles rather than freshly prepared, which was especially disappointing for a Mother's Day brunch. What was most concerning was the apparent lack of organization. Throughout our visit, food accumulated under the heat lamps while staff and management seemed unsure where dishes belonged or which tables they were intended for. The operation felt disorganized and unprepared for the volume of guests they chose to serve that day. While we understand that holidays can be challenging for restaurants, customers should still receive edible food and reasonable service for the prices being charged. Instead, the experience felt like the restaurant was focused on maximizing holiday revenue without adequately delivering on food quality or customer service. Sadly, this was one of the most disappointing dining experiences we've had, and we would not return.
