I ordered a large chef salad and only received 1 small cup of ranch dressing contacted the restaurant and they stated it only comes with one and extra is .85 there is no way that one cup is going to accommodate my large salad and if I have already spent $16.00 on a salad, I should not have to purchase an additional dressing the salad was fresh and delicious hopefully you guys will consider providing 2 dressing with such a large salad and any extra dressing after should be .85 read more

I have never had a bad meal at Elizabeth's Pizza and I have eaten at many locations over the last 31 years. I ordered the small, original Stromboli and it was delicious as always. The reason I'm only giving 3 stars is because my food was improperly secured. Now that there has been an uptick of Covid cases, I have been using Door Dash quite a bit. My Stromboli came in a take out box that WAS NOT taped and it wasn't put in a plastic bag for delivery. Greensboro has been in some sort of Covid protocol for almost 2 years now. Surely someone at this restaurant knows this and could have taken a couple of extra seconds to properly secure my food. I am highly disappointed with how my food arrived. I will not be using this location again. By not following simple Covid protocol you lost what would have been a very loyal customer. read more

I missed having my go-to neighborhood take out pizza joint while they were closed for renovations. They are now reopen and I have to say the updates are nice. New tables, paint job, and menu screens can go a long way to spruce up the place. As I live close by, I tend to always take my pizza to go but the new look would make me consider dining in occasionally. They added some things to the menu but mostly still sticking with pizzas and subs. We got our usual large pizza with peppers and onions. They used a mixture of green and red peppers this time which was nice for color. The taste and size of their pizzas has not changed, which made me happy. I did notice the price went up but that is kind of the case everywhere right now. You pay the same extra topping price whether you getting vegetable or meat. Maybe should mix up my choices. But for us, the large pizza is plenty for two meals due to the large slices so $20 for good and convenient pizza totally worth it. Note they are closed on Sundays read more

I always go to Elizabeth's pizza. I have other locations I love . I ordered delivery from Slice as I was in a rush tonight and the pizza was delivered ... it was inedible, extremely greasy and not what I ordered. I have never tasted anything so foul. I have never gotten pizza from the summit avenue store before and WILL not again. The worse things though was their lack of customer service. The service called them and they told them the only way I would get a refund / a new pizza was to bring the pizza in. They would not bring a new one or issue a refund. Unbelievable as I ordered it. A real hole in the wall place. This pizza joint was recommended when I was visiting for work. It is located in a less than desirable neighborhood in a strip mall. They are very old-school and appear to be fighting the times. They still write orders on tickets! They have a variety of pizza, salads, calzones, etc. They do offer a student discount and general lunch time specials. I feel as though I cannot properly rate them because I got a chicken salad. I will say that my salad was HUGE. It was nothing to write home about, which was suspected. The quality wasn't worth the $11 price tag but the size was. This place is just okay from my experience. The food was excellent! The staff was the star of the show here though. We had a last minute change in venue for a large group of hungry teenage soccer players. The staff was able to quickly make available a large enough are for us and immediately started lots of pizza to minimize our wait time! This place gets one star because of the horrible way they treat certain patrons. The franchise requires everyone to masks, which is fine. The problem is some patrons may be refused their food, even though it's paid for, if their masks do not cover their nose and mouth and others are served whether or not one is worn properly or even on! The owner went further to say to that particular patron that he now knows his face and told the patron not to return to the restaurant! It's like they pick and choose who to harass. When I think of Elizabeth Pizza, I think of phrases like; "taste so good make me want to slap your mama" or "One cannot think well, love well, sleep well, if one has not dined well." which was quoted by Virginia Woolf. Well I love well, sleep well and yes because of Elizabeth pizza, I have dined very very well. The so many varieties of delicious food just makes it hard for one to think straight when ordering. Me personally I am deeply in love with the Philly cheese steak sub. I'm talking about hot tenderizing chopped steak, stringy cheese that hangs like a jump rope from the previous bite to the bitten off piece of sub, and any vegetables or condiments you desire. Not only is the food amazing but the service is fare, every time I have entered the restaurant I'm greeted with a happy warm welcome. It may have been a few times when I get a lousy acknowledgement, but lets be real we are all humans and sometimes a person could be having a bad day but at-least they came in to work to serve their customers and make their money. But usually I'm greeted with a "hello my friend "or "welcome my friend" you know the usual Italian slang. It makes me feel way happier to want to give my money to some friendly and hard working cooks, rather than to be giving money to a mean and lazy making my food. Great Pizza for a great price. Definitely worth your money. Although I have found that more people order food for pick up rather than eating in. I was a little impatient upon waiting hints the reason people order in and I will from now on. The food is made upon order so it is worth the wait if you have the patience. There is sitting space about 10 tables or so and two big screen TVs you can watch while you wait or eat. The staff was helpful upon our ordering and made a few suggestions. They have pizza by the slice, lunch specials as well as student specials as Greensboro is a college town so they have decent hours for the late night pizza eater like myself. I used to love Elizabeth's pizza but today I bought my last pie from them. The crust used to be crispy and the cheese and the other ingredients were fresh and delicious. The 2 pies I bought today came to $32. A pepperoni and a Elizabeth special or something like that. The crust was chewy and the pizza itself had absolutely no flavor. I loaded it with Parmesan cheese to try and help. I ended up eating the pepperoni off like a kindergartner and giving the bread part to my dog. She looked at my hand and laid it on the counter, ask she placed it back in my hand was told I am doing too much. Then she argued with me in front of all the customers. He returned my money and apologized. If she is representing this business I will not return until she is gone. The owner might want to consider who he hired to represent his business.
