Cedars pizzeria is CLOSED, but their online ordering system is still working fine, I found out by placing an online order like I did last time them taking my money getting a confirmation text saying that it would be ready for pick up at 6:15 PM and then showing up to the location and it's closed. The phone number listed from the confirmation and on the website when you call it says the user is not available. I went here with no expectations and I definitely wasn't surprised. This place is dated and needed a Ramsey makeover. Since I've been surprised by good food under the same conditions, I ordered and received my below average food. Since I was the only person in the restaurant, I thought the attention would be on getting a good meal served. That was not the case because the fries were soggy and greasy and the sub was not flavorful. As for attention, it was like the meal...substandard. Pun intended. My friend and I were in for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. This time I ordered pizza with sausage on it. Everything seemed well, but within about an hour, I was having stomach cramps. was extremely disappointed in customer service the ordering was easy but when I tell you I called in at 1:43 and did not receive my food til 2:53. after calling 3 different times to figure out where the driver was mind you I was told 30-40 minutes which would have been between 2:15-2:25 so it took an additional almost 30 mins for them to get here my food was room temperature. Coldest day of the year screamed for comfort food, and a long, frozen work week screamed even louder for delivery. Minestrone Soup had been rattling around in my mind for some reason, so this little place was our choice - besides I'd been wanting to try the Lobster Ravioli ($9.95) anyway. After throwing in an order for Spaghetti with Meat Sauce ($9.95), I was really beginning to feel the comfort - especially since I was ordering online from the comfort of my couch! The Minestrone Soup ($3.25 for nice serving) is excellent - really, really excellent. There are plenty of fresh tasting veggies, a nice variety of beans, and macaroni in a rich, flavorful tomato broth. That was pretty much the good. Neither pasta dish was something I'd order again. The lobster in the ravioli was much less than fresh tasting and the pasta was very chewy. The sauce was ok, but just that. The meat sauce was way too sweet, and not all that much of it. I'll definitely get the soup again, and I like several other items here, and delivery is nice, if a little slow. Took an hour and 15 minutes for this order to arrive. read more

Have you ever went out on the proverbial limb, knowing it wasn't a good idea, did it anyway, and it ended just the way you thought it would? That was me with the idea of walking into Cedar's! Having seen decent enough reviews, but having never seen the place before, I drove up to find a bizarre place indeed. From the outside it looks like a dusty old roadside biker bar turned restaurant. Well, I'm here right, might as well go for it? You walk into a bizarre hodgepodge of a decor that has several lights not working, part of the restaurant divided off into a kids play area, and the remaining just not looking very appealing. It's Italian, even though it looks like a burger joint, so I sampled the Chicken Parm, Philly Cheesesteak, and a side of Meatballs. The Chicken Parm is a decent enough dish with a ample sized breast, lightly breaded, decent cheese, and less than average side of noodles with sauce. The Philly had tons of promise with a nice fill of chopped steak, green pepper, and too heavy on the onions. The problem with the decently built sandwich was the fact that there's NO flavor. I found myself salting it over and over until I realized I was getting nowhere. The meatballs are not made in house, so they're average at best, and served in cold sauce that was actually disgusting! No need to tell me, I told you so. No need to tell me about going out on that limb. I got it! I just don't get Cedar's at all.....and I'm fine with that! read more

Situated a stone's throw from Greensboro's industrial area, Cedar's makes the most of its proximity: the food here is quick, cheap, and filling. None of that is to say that it is actually good, but it's likely good enough for the purpose it serves. Cedar's is infinitely more appealing for take-out/delivery than as a dine-in option. The interior is dated and somewhat dirty: the trashcan was practically overflowing at the time of our visit. The employee working the counter, however, was friendly and accommodating. The food was a mixed bag. An order of zucchini sticks was likely previously frozen. They were neither revolting nor memorable. A Greek salad was generously portioned with a good balance of ingredients. Our pizza was served oven-hot, and the toppings were fresh, but neither the sauce nor the crust had much flavor at all. If there is an upshot to this mediocrity, it is that it is budget-friendly. Large 18-inch pizzas start at $13.35, a good value for the quantity of pie. The entrée-sized salads, which can easily feed two, run $7.75 while footlong hot sandwiches go for $8.25. If you are looking to have leftovers or feed a group, having to add more seasonings yourself to compensate for the blandness seems like a small price to pay. As a place to have a meal, Cedar's would rate much lower, but it offers enough in the way of value, convenience, and expediency to make it worth your consideration if you're in the area. read more

Cedar's has an amazing Lobster Ravioli. It comes in a perfectly seasoned blush sauce and the pasta texture is consistently amazing. Though I was perfectly happy sticking to that dish, when I saw my friends with puffy, loaded stromboli and cheesesteaks, I had to give those a try. I was not disappointed! The staff always greets us with smiles and has our food out quickly, eventhough we are a decent-sized group. I know there are similar places in this part of town, but Cedar's has by far the best food and service. Since discovering it about a month and a half ago, my group has been there quite a bit! I've eaten there 3 other times. Last night had baked ziti and added meatballs. They were delicious. Lots of sauce and mozzarella on the ziti, which I like because I don't like it dry. The salad was nice and crisp and came in a good sized bowl with the side of dressing I ordered. The warm bread was delicious. We stopped here when going to a concert at the Greensboro colosseum and do not regret it. When we pulled in the lot it was a little weary, you would think that it's not the greatest but it's a quant little hole in the wall. I had the chicken parm and loved it. It was served quick and hot. The sauce was good but lacked in great flavor. The chicken was really good and the roll for the sub was nicely cooked. My girlfriend got the Philly steak sub and she said " this is the second best philly I've had. " and she's from the north, so it's a good thing according to her. The place itself is a little dingy and could use renovations for sure as the restroom needed upkeep but overall the food was definitely worth going for and with a reasonable price as well. The worst experience so far. We ordered the chicken parmigiana sub, lobster ravioli, fried mushrooms and a cannoli. The ravioli had imitation meat and did not have any shrimp like advertised. It did have 2 clams in the sauce. My husband threw his sub in the trash after one bite the chicken was a breaded frozen type. The mushrooms followed the chicken sub after the second one. I'm afraid to try the cannoli, it looks over cooked as well. We are in a hotel traveling, so we had the food delivered. We wrote this one off as a lesson learn. read more

I'm not a huge pizza fan, but this restaurant makes fantastic New York style pizza! We ordered a 14" all meat pizza with a side order of fries. The 14" was plenty for the three of us girls. Perfect meat to cheese to sauce ratio! The fries were also good! They remind me of carnival fries or Wendy's fries (which I loved) before they changed to their current naturally cut, sea salt version. This place does delivery so keep that in mind if you live within proximity. Next time you have a craving for pizza, give this place a try instead of the usual Domino's or Papa John's.
