Elli's Backyard is our favorite place to go for dinner. Great food, great staff, & great atmosphere. 10/10 experience every time.

This spot is relatively new and I've only heard good things so I decided to give it a try. We started with the spinach dip that was super cheesy. I got the rack of lamb that was tender and flavorful. I didn't try the eggplant rollatini but the serving was huge and my sister enjoyed it. My dad got the ribs special which came with a side of coleslaw and mac n cheese. The ribs fell off the bone, they were really delicious. The service was great and the decor was cute as well. We did not get dessert here, but I heard the s'mores come out with a fire for you to roast them yourself! Very nice experience. read more

I have never written a review nor have i ever felt compelled to until my experience at Elli's backyard this afternoon. Out of the 8 years i've been in red bank, im not sure I have ever came across something like this nor do i think there is anywhere around that can compare. Unique in so many ways. Everything from decoration, atmosphere, presentation and taste was beyond my expectations. Especially presentation. You can really see the thoughtfulness, care and effort that was put into everything. Food was 20/10! I already cannot wait to come back. Wish you the best of luck! read more

Stopped in on a Tuesday afternoon with my fiance. Never been. Both of us ordered salads and came away very satisfied with the friendliness of the host/server and the quality of the salads which were both plentiful and made with fresh ingredients. I had the Greek Grilled Salmon salad and my fiance ordered the Tune Poke Bowl which was unique in that it was served open salad style. Very nice experience and highly recommended! read more

The food was fantastic, service was on point , and the ambience was just so perfect ! Got the bang bang shrimp for an app, along with the spinach dip( which you could tell was freshly made - perfect amount of cheesy and creamy ness ) my smokehouse burger was amazing- juicy, flavorful and delish( the Smokey dome it was served in really made the flavor in the burger jump out at ya) Cannot wait to return for breakfast or lunch! read more

Not sure if Elli's is new but I never heard of it. Had no idea it was byob but there was a liquor store down the street. They also sell wines by the bottle in case you do forget. The vibe in there is cool and it does feel like a homey backyard environment. The food tasted fresh and the menu had a lot of good options. The waiter suggested the mac and cheese but I would skip that. The calamari was good but at $18 it felt not worth it. The burger was pretty good and comes with a smokey bbq sauce. The burger was cooked perfectly and all the ingredients worked nicely together. The fries were prepared fresh and were fried nicely. I prefer thinner fries but these were good. The breaded coconut shrimp salad wasn't great. It had 3 little shrimp on it and the salad was bland. Skip it. For dessert we had the smores and it was fun making them at the table. Elli's backyard was overall a fun time. The service was good and the food was for the most part solid. I would definitely come back. read more

We went to Elli's today for breakfast for the first time. The home fries were so good and flavorful. I had French toast which was good as well. I would have loved an option to add some fruit to it but that's just me. Our server was super attentive and our food came out quick. This place is the perfect place for a kid friendly fun meal or a great place for teenagers. The staff is so friendly and they have went over the top with decor to give the resurgent a great ambiance. Lived the music pkahkng and the vibe. The Cesar salad was delish and so was the streak sandwich. My daughter had the chicken fingers and she enjoyed them. She wished they had a reguakr grilled cheese or a hot dog lol kids. We also had the smores for the table which we all enjoyed. I've been here 3 times now and each time has been amazing!!! Our servers are so nice, efficient and food is amazing. The inside is very pretty also. We have come with our 2 toddlers and everyone is very accommodating. BYO too and not too expensive! Love it. Will continue to come back. read more

I came here and sat outside with my dog and the waitress was so pleasant. She came out and brought Gino a big bowl of cold water. She was very accommodating and sweet. I ordered the pork roll egg and cheese sandwich. All I can say is, WOW. It was streaming hot, served in a brioche bun, the eggs were cooked to perfection and the pork roll was crispy. There was a generous amount of pork roll which I totally appreciated. The cheese was ooey gooey and all for $9. I couldn't have asked for more. This will be my new go to spot over here., read more

We we're looking for a fun place to eat close to PNC Bank Art Center. Elli's Backyard came up in our search. This restaurant is fantastic and had something for everyone. My husband who is gluten free was excited that they had many options for him. My children loved the atmosphere. The ambiance was romantic enough for a first date yet magical enough to keep the kids occupied. Staff was warm and welcoming but most importantly the food was delicious. The menu has a mix of traditional favorites for the picky eater and interesting choices for the adventurous eater. We will definitely be back. read more

Elli's backyard is a fabulous brunch and dinner spot with EXCELLENT service. We fell in love with the food and atmosphere of the place on New Year's Day. We had an excellent brunch there and asked if they hosted bigger parties. This weekend we celebrated my 30th birthday there and they couldn't be more accommodating. We had 25 people and they moved the tables so that we were all sitting together. They also added special touches like a champagne cart (it's BYOB so we brought our own champagne but they decorated the cart nicely for us and put out pitches of orange juice), chalkboard birthday signs on the table, and bringing our complimentary dessert with a fun firecracker when it was time to sing. They allowed us to bring in additional decorations and cupcakes for dessert. They had 3-4 servers waiting on us who couldn't have been sweeter. The owner, Patrick, checked in with us throughout our brunch to make sure everything was perfect. The service was above and beyond! And the FOOD! The food was SO delicious! Everyone was SO happy with what they ordered! Delicious menu items that are large portions and creatively plated. They allowed us to take our time and catch up with everyone at our party and did not rush us out. We couldn't recommend Elli's backyard more! We thank Patrick and his workers so much for making my birthday extra special! We highly recommend to everyone and can't wait to come back! read more

Great little Place! Quick and friendly waitstaff. Even made mention that there were grapes in the fruit bowl before I gave it to my 18 mo son. We had breakfast on Mother's Day , delish! Cleanliness of the restaurant is questionable, there were flies flying around and we sat in a window seat and window sill was full of crumbs and dead bugs. Each table has wood chargers and fake grass, not sure if that is cleaned or gets changed after each guest. Ordered the "big breakfast" and it was just basic breakfast- scrambled eggs and cheese were kind of wet not good, the pancakes good but small. Also ordered BLT and the toast was so hard- definitely not worth $14. Server had to come back to confirm the type of bread we asked for (sourdough) and then another person came back and asked too... Went here for breakfast this morning. Looking for a new breakfast place so glad they were open and a new place for breakfast in red bank. Very nice clean and friendly. Standard breakfast fare with reasonable prices. I always judge a breakfast place by their home fries which are usually dried out and tasteless. These were very good and cooked perfectly. there are so many options here that satisfy any taste bud, we've been a couple times and have truly made it a date spot now. A family owned business who makes you feel comfortable and apart of their family while dining. Excellent service, cool casual atmosphere, decent prices. Food is just average. For anyone who has very young kids, this place is for you. For everyone else, be aware that I was here on a Saturday evening at 6:30, so it was early...but toddlers screaming, toddlers crying, toddlers singing, toddlers making weird noises. Etc. Food was ok service was good. Had to ask for a clean wine glass. Made a mistake going to the rest room. What a mess. Dirty and wet floor covered with garbage. Walked out with TP on my shoe. On the way back to our table the kitchen door was open. The dirtiest kitchen I've ever seen. Floor was a mess just like the restroom. Wife didn't believe me so she checked it out.
