    Corned beef hash
    Rachel B.

Lively little cafe near the shore with a fantastic menu. I ended up getting the corned beef hash which comes with a large biscuit. Hot chocolate had less chocolate flavor and was sweeter than I would have liked, but at least it was made with milk instead of water. There was enough food in this portion to take leftovers home too, a nice plus as I now get to enjoy this hash again for lunch during the work week Would love to come back again at some point!

Buttered Biscuit is so cozy and welcoming! Dave the owner is awesome and Gabby who took our order was just as fabulous! Things to know: - Counter is first come first serve. We got lucky and 3 seats were waiting for us - Street parking - No reservations so wait patiently it's worth it - Get a savory and sweet dish We love starting with the Hot Off the Grill Crumb Cake - this is a must! My favorite was the Copenhagen especially if you like smoked salmon-get your home fries crispy yummmmmmm! Lemon Zest Mascarpone French Toast Delishhhhh Dave's Homemade Corned Beef Hash - this I could have done away with the asparagus but overall very tasty! And they fill you up with coffee the entire time! Great service! Wish this was closer to home but always worth a trip. I'll be back!

We go here a decent amount. I got the veggie omelette and it's so yummy. My husband gets the meatloaf and he loves it. It was packed when we went but service was still great and the atmosphere is quaint !

I had wanted to try someplace new for brunch so I found The Buttered Biscuit on Yelp. The interior is cute/cozy with a nice long counter and merch for sale in the front. We ordered the corned beef hash benedict dish and blueberry pancakes. Food is good along with their coffee. A nice stop for brunch or lunch.

Back again and I wasn't disappointed at all. Service was perfect. The staff were welcoming, attentive and the wait was not too long. This time I ordered from the lunch menu, and I was happy with my choice - Daddy Dave's Maryland Crab Cake Sandwich (Homemade Crab Cake sautéed & served on a Grilled Bun w/ Lettuce, Tomato, Red Onion and a side of Herb Mayo) everything was fresh and tasty. We also ordered the Ho Cakes - a southern-style corn pancake topped with butter and raspberry jam. Oh my goodness that was delicious. This cafe feeling atmosphere with an amazing selection of breakfast and lunch to choose from, was the perfect start to my day.

Such a cute cafe in a quaint town. We were here after Labor Day and the restaurant and shopping strip were still hoping! They offer outside dining as well as 2 sides on the inside. We called ahead to get an idea of the wait time. It wasn't too bad and we only waited a few minutes to be seated. They have a great menu and our meals were delicious!! I wasn't that impressed with the biscuit that was given with each meal. It was a little dry for my liking. I expected more from it due to the name of the restaurant. And the butter could be more sweeter. But with that said my meal was absolutely delicious!!! I had the Cali crab omelette. AMAZING!! I definitely recommend this restaurant.

    Vegetable Omelet with Home Fries

We came here both mornings for brunch during the Sea Hear Now festival. Everything was delicious. I loved the caramelized grapefruit with strawberries, veggie omelet, biscuits and cinnamon butter, and side of pork roll one day and crispy bacon the other. I loved the mix of sweet and savory. Everyone loved their food and raved about the crab cakes and French toast varieties. It was easy to accommodate our groups of 5 and 9. I would definitely come here again.

The famous grilled crumb cake... You must try this!

I have had this spot on my bookmarks forever because I have been dying to try this famous grilled crumb cake. Thankfully I finally ended up in this area. We got a nice table for two under a big umbrella so even though it was over 90 degrees we were still comfortable. Our server Lori brought us over some menus along with some ice waters and I also ordered an unsweetened iced tea. They had so many good things to choose from but I figured since I was definitely getting some crumb cake I should choose a lunch entree for myself. We were there on a Sunday around 1:30 so it could go either way. They had some really tempting French toast on the menu too. So I decided on the grilled pastrami and Swiss on rye and that came with some coleslaw and a pickle and of course the Homemade Crumb Cake grilled in butter and sprinkled w/ cinnamon sugar. My hubby went with one of his all time breakfast faves Homemade corned beef hash. They had a special that was served with grilled asparagus, Swiss cheese, poached eggs, and hollandaise served with a homemade biscuit with cinnamon butter and jelly. We had our crumb cake first... now I see what everyone raves about. It just melts in your mouth. It's so moist and delicious. I love crumb cake and I think this was the best I have ever had. Then our entrees came out. Everything looked delicious. I put some coleslaw and mustard on my pastrami sandwich and took a bite. It was so good. I was happy with my selection. I asked my hubby how his food was and he said the corned beef hash was some of the best he's ever had and he said the biscuit was great too. So of course I had to sample the biscuit with some of that delicious cinnamon butter and he definitely wasn't wrong. I'm so happy I finally made it here. Our server Lori was so great and friendly and all of the food was so delicious. I'm definitely going to make it a point to be back in this area just so I can try more of their delicious food. Hig

This place is a gem! Definitely worth checking out. Fresh ingredients, friendly service, beautiful atmosphere and good prices. We got biscuits and sausage gravy and a crab cake eggs benedict. Both were wonderful, definitely will be back.

Three friends and a lovely day at the beach. We went for dinner before heading back up north and…read moredecided to try someplace we've never been. Plenty of spots in the parking lot and easy to pay for 2 hours on the app - signs don't say what time the "meters" go off, but with 2 restaurants sharing the lot, we figured you probably have to pay until at least 8 pm, and we were early (5:30 ish). Got seated quickly, in a booth near a wide opening out to the beautiful patio on the water. Rather warm in the restaurant and there were overhead fans that weren't rotating, but it wasn't uncomfortable. We'd have had to wait a bit for an outdoor table, and anyway it was a hot humid day and night so indoors suited us just fine. One friend had the lobster bisque, served with a good chunk of a bread that looked tasty (she's not a bread lover but she enjoyed it so it must have been delicious) and she really liked the soup. Then she added another appetizer, spicy garlic shrimp. Generous portion of 6 shrimp. My other friend had the crabcake & shrimp plate, which came with a side salad that our waitress was savvy enough to bring first when our other friend was enjoying her soup. Some crumbled feta on the side salads, a nice touch. When she ordered, my friend asked if the crabcake had a lot of breading and our server assured her that it doesn't; that turned out to be accurate! I also got that side salad with the Ahi tuna bowl I ordered. This was a bowl of dry, bland white rice (might have been jasmine rice but not strong flavor). On one side atop the rice was a good portion of seaweed salad, which I love. Piled sort-of artistically on the other side of the rice mound were several small slices (6? 7?) of perfectly "black and blue" tuna crusted with both black and white sesame seeds. The fish and salad were delicious but not terribly filling. I ate most of the rice. I noticed that there was a marinade at the bottom and began to mix the rice with the marinade that was tasty. They do add 2.5% for credit cards, but that's fair enough these days. Entrées are on the pricey side, I thought ($39. for the crab/shrimp dish, 32 for my tuna, 12 for the lobster bisque), but there aren't any bargains dining out these days. We had no complaints, other than my somewhat dry rice. I'd like to give it 3 1/2 stars but will err on the generous side. We'll probably return next year on our beach day!

Well, I returned with my friend after we had a less than stellar visit previously…read more I think maybe don't have too many high expectations for the food and just come for beers and the view. We ordered the Margherita pizza. It was just okay, not bad but also just not delicious. Sauce was a little bland, like it was missing garlic or seasoning. The mussels were good however we had asked if they could be prepared without the chilies. We were told yes by our server (who was a dear really, she was great I don't really blame her for anything) that they could leave out the chilies. Well we ordered them and there was definitely chilies! My friend could not eat them at all. I like spicy and even my eyes were watering. I just question getting bread rolls served with the mussels when the usual service is sliced toasted bread. So, as I said, I think just temper your expectations. This place does have the beautiful view going for it.

During this trip, we ordered the steak for 2 as an entree; shishito peppers, mushrooms, onion rings as sides; pot stickers as an app; and a red velvet soufflé as a dessert. The steak was perfectly cooked, smoky and the seasoning was delicious. The two sauces on the side complimented the steak very well. The sides were also delicious. I did not expect the sides to be as tasty as they were!! The potstickers had an AMAZING filling but the consistency of the shell was a little chewy, but we are being very critical because of the price. Finally, the dessert came with a marscapone-like cream that we put on the soufflé and it melted into the dessert. We would definitely reccomend the soufflé but make sure you ask for it at the beginning of your meal because it takes 45 minutes to cook! We thought the service was good. We did have to wait 20 minites for our reservation, however, the host let us know there would be a wait and while we were waiting a waiter came out and opened our wine bottle and gave us glasses. We also love the ambiance of the restaurant. It is well decorated, clean, and well worth the trip.
