First I want to thank them for coming out on the weekend when I couldn't get in touch with my extended warranty company for water heater leak! They did a good job on removing and replacing the water heater. Wish I wasn't in such a panic to get it repaired and couldn't think to call a couple friends to get advice. Long story short I found out I got charged 4 times the amount to purchase and replace my water heater without an extended warranty. After talking to a couple of neighbors and my freinds who had the same problem and found out how much they paid to get theirs removed and replaced, I feel so embarrassed that I didnt keep my composure and and seek advise from my family and friends like I always do. Big lesson learned! Find reputable techs and connections before emergencies happen!

These guys want to break open the walks and floors to snake this clogged drain for $$$$$$$$ chingos of dollars

Holy ratas y garrapatas Batman! Lets just start this story at approximately 3 years ago. Called these cats up for a clogged clothes washer drain. Once they showed up butt crack joebob showed up and said we could not snake the drain from the normal spot and needed to brake open some sheetrock and concrete to cut a line in the drain to auger the sucker. Well knowing a bit about plumbing myself, i ask about snaking the dring from the roof. Well joebob took a step back as he was not expecting that i knew what i was talking about. So after he gathered his thoughts he responded that it would cost about $400-$600 to do that. Now i myself took a step back because that was an insane amount of money for that. Then after i gathered my thoughts i asked joebob how much replacing a water heater would cost and he responded around $1,400. I politely said thank you and would not be using his services. The cost for almost getting robbed was $65 for the visit. It was the best $65 i ever spent. It prompted me to youtubes the work and save thousands from hiring this company. And my work is still good all these years later too.

!!!!!!! BUYERS beware!!!!!! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH ELMERS! i purchase a brand new HVAC unit with air ducts replaced and since the day of install we have had nothing but issues the last three years! I have done MY PART as a homeowner to schedule my routine maintenance! First winter in my hvac system was not warming up our house, first summer it wasn't cooling up the house and we had guests over for my daughters birthday that time so you can imagine what we have endured with this company we purchased portable units ourselves to avoid this from happening again! Turns out they found the unit had a RECALL!!! instead of replacing the whole unit they replaced "PARTS" to me seems like they put a bandaid on a bad unit overall! Now we're 2026 and they're saying my unit is not covered under warranty!!! The condenser coil went out they're claiming it was due to the dogs urinating but how is this my fault when their technicians FAILED to mention or notice any rust upon inspection of each visit and they would only be here for 10 to 15 min tops!! This whole HVAC system cost me $25,000 and I'm still paying on it and i still owe $18k on it and it's not going to get covered??!! HOWWW!!!! when my paperwork states otherwise and i as a homeowner acted responsibly it's not my job to inspect these technicians to make sure they're doing their job!!! Now they're saying $6500 to replace coil condenser when the guy on Sunday said $1800 for labor now today they want to replace my whole unit with no warranty for $1900?! Next step what should I do?

Elmer's is a fraud company with his folks on commission so if there isn't a big bill, there's small pay!

First I would like to know your charge for coming out to check out our thermostat and AC unit? Does your company finance expensive repairs that you may find?

Elmers had an initial service charge for evaluating my issue. However, it came out of the total cost of the repair. They did a great job, though were not the lowest price. However, they warranty and guarantee their work. I had a minor issue and…

We had an entire new HVAC system installed after our 2013 model died. Brandon Cerda came out and…read moredid a great job of evaluating our old system and giving us options for a new system. He was very knowledgeable, professional and polite. We had a conference call with his manager Josh Estrada. Mr Estrada did a very good job of explaining the loan details on a recorded portion of the call. We had emphasized our need for a 20-year warranty for the heat exchanger, coils, compressor and parts because we did not want to have to repeat this in 10 years should the new system fail. I thought we made this very clear however after listening to the recorded call a week later, I saw that the heat exchanger does have a 20 year warranty, but the compressor and parts only 10 years. Some miscommunication perhaps on both ends. We went with the 3rd tier option because we thought it has a 20 year warranty on everything. It's energy efficient and eligible for the CPS Energy rebate. The system cost over $22,000 which was about $8k-$10k more than the Tier 2 option. The system itself works great (Goodman model) and is a huge improvement. The pull down attic door/ladder had to be removed to fit the new system in. I was informed of this at the end of the day. I would have approved it regardless but it would have been better if notified in advance. There were a few details that needed to be addressed such as adding a little more insulation to the main compressor line and setting up having a 3rd party carpenter to come out, reinstall the attic ladder/door and repair the wooden trim. It was frustrating in that I had made several calls to various people, texted and sent emails with little or no reply until about a week later. The attic ladder/door was later installed and looks great. There was also miscommunication in that I was told a QCI supervisor would be out to inspect the new system. I had a scheduled appointment and waited several hours. No one ever showed up. When I called about it they said I didn't need it because we live outside of the San Antonio limit. Then later someone said they were going to send the inspector. He showed up and gave me the requested paperwork I needed to complete the CPS Energy rebate application, and was going to leave without inspecting the system. I had him inspect it and was told that everything "checked out 100%." Brandon Cerda, the initial technician who assessed our old system and went over new options, was very helpful in getting a loan from Good Leap since this was such a huge investment. He was great in that he showed me a photo of the attic unit that had flooded the drip pan with oil and refrigerant. He said the outside compressor was still ok. Ironically the prior company which gave me an estimate never mentioned this and said I had a bad compressor. The point being that Goettl is very honest, knowledge, thorough and detailed in their work. The installers Matthew and Josh (a different Josh) did a very good job. It was an all day project. Josh did a great followup job in showing me the attic unit, answering all of my concerns, adding insulation to the outside compressor line, and going over routine home maintenance such as changing the HVAC filter and adding fluid to the attic unit's IV Bag (a device that injects a small amount of a special fluid daily to help keep the lines clear. Ignacio Hernandez (goes by Nacho) was helpful in calling about a week later to look into the 20-year warranty issue. He later sent an email with the recorded phone call where I heard Josh the manager mention 10 years warranty for the compressor. The recorded portion of the call did not initiate until after my wife dropped off the conference call. Although Josh was right, I still feel like he knew our need for a 20 year warranty because we spoke about it at length. The $22k HVAC system was at the end limit of our budget. We may had gone with the lower option if this fact had truly set in my mind. Regardless, it was a done deal. I researched and found after the fact that 10 years is standard for a compressor warranty unless you purchase an expensive 3rd party extended warranty. Call it a life lesson on my part. Goettl was very good in registering the furnace, compressor and coils with the manufacturer Goodman (this has to be done within 60 days of installation in Texas to get the full warranties as described 20/10/10). Overall Goettl AC & Plumbing did a wonderful job. Everyone was polite, professional and was not pushy regarding the sale of the HVAC system. Prior to this I got an estimate from another contractor and did not like their aggressive sales tactics. The new system comes with a 1 year Goettl service membership. I had actually paid for this the day prior to the installation so they extended it to 2 years. Having the membership will save you money regarding maintenance of the system. We also received over a $900 credit since we had prior repairs with Goettl and a 5% First Responders dis

Eric provided exceptional service! The options available were explained well and I felt that he…read more(and by extention Goettl) cared how people are treated and done so fairly. I will continue to receive service from Goettl, ask for Eric going forward.
