Delicious elotes and definitely worth the hype. It's just a small stand outside a convenience store but they have all the sauces and seasonings needed. Prices are not too bad and they have a variety of sizes! There was a language barrier for me but service was still great and I used my finger to point when I order. They take both cards & cash as well. I was a bit nervous waiting in-line since there were random dudes staring at us, but I think that's just the area at night time. I find that other palaterias can be really dirty (dirty places have the best food too tho lol) but this one was not too dirty but had an organized menu which I liked. - I loved how they had a separate salsa station and toppings too for you to customize and add more to your snacks. - The manzana loca is something I highly recommend. Might be one of the best elotes around DFW!! Love that the corn is fresh from the cob and not from the can, so the texture is a lot better. Also love that they have a variety of hot sauces and toppings that you can add yourself. Prices are also very reasonable. Service could be a little bit better though. The young lady making the elotes didn't seem to be happy to working. read more

When I visited Dallas, my brother took my family and me around to grab some food. He told us that we were getting tacos and corn in a cup. I expected us to dine in at a restaurant, but it was all from two different stands at the same gas station. We arrived around 10PM and there was already a line of people waiting to get some elotes. I'm a huge fan of hole-in-the-wall spots and seeing the line made me super excited to try it out! I would say this is probably my first real experience with authentic elotes and it will definitely won't be my last. After we all had our own elotes, we moved to the side where all of the condiments were. There were many different sauces to choose from, I wasn't sure what to add at first. I added some lime and a couple of sauces to mines and it was perfect for my taste buds. It was a fun experience and everything was delicious! I can tell why there was a consistent line for the stand the entire time i was there! Thanks Elotes Fanny, you're my new addiction. Being from south Texas, 15 mins from the border I grew up eating elotes! Moving to Dallas it has been so hard to find authentic Mexican food and snacks. But after taking our dog to the vet we decided to stop by this little tent outside a convenient store and am I glad we did! The elotes were DELICIOUS, the closest corn I've had to the ones back home! An elote is a cooked corn either in a cup or on the cob covered in mayo, butter, chili powder/sauce, cheese, and hint of lemon. Sounds like a weird combination UNTIL you put it in your mouth. They have lots of sauces to choose from(mild,original, hot,etc) and extra toppings like hot Cheetos and takis. You can choose from having a corn in the cup or right off the cob, both equally delicious. If you love elotes and are looking for something authentic then it's a must visit!!! read more

I got butter & mayo on mine but hot Cheetos & Takies were options too. There were about 10 types of hot sauce to choose & a chart that rates the spicy level. Plus other toppings I threw some lemon pepper on mine & didn't regret it. Make sure you go to the right stand there is a red stand right near by, this is the GREEN & YELLOW one! There's a smart car in the parking lot to advertise. Yes they are bilingual, no there is no seating it's a cart in front of a convenient store.....$1 fountain drinks inside. First let me say I did not even realize I could like corn, much less love it, but these folks will make you love it! This is true goodness in a cup! I literally crave it all the time. You can add your own toppings-lime, lemon pepper, hot sauce, chilli powder, salt, pepper, etc. she DOES take credit cards, and is very friendly. One of my guilty pleasures whenever I am in Dallas. Don't judge a book by its cover. The shop is a small stand located in between a convenience store and a restaurant. The corn is FRESH like clean clothes coming out of a dryer (it doesn't taste like linen though lol)! You can visibly see the worker cut up the cob. I don't know what kind of magical ingredients they mix with the corn but this snack is a dream come true for the foodies of this universe. I can only guess that it's some type of mayo, butter, and white cheese with a squeeze of lime. They have a variety of red hot sauce and other spices to make the snack unique to your liking. I usually go for the lemon pepper spice. Word of caution: don't sprinkle too much of the lemon pepper because it's very potent. A little goes a long way. A regular cup (maybe 8 oz?) costs about $2.75. I think this is a good option to choose from especially if you ate already. If you want to be just a tad bit healthier, then go for the small. They do accept credit cards and recently offer corn on a cob as well. Please swing by and give it a try. If you don't like it...then something is wrong with you!!! Just kidding.
